My wife has had severe hives for several months. Pretnazone is the only drug that gives her some relief. The hives are on her back and sides, her arms and legs are not effected. We have seen 3 allergy doctors, they have no idea how to get rid of them. Any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU ## Hello, Maurice! How is your wife doing? Did they do any checking to see what she's allergic to? An answer to that is going to be required in order to find a solution. Have they done skin patches? What has she tried taking for them? Is she using anything new?
I went to the doctor for some itchy ness on my vaginal area in February this year and it was Triamcinolone top 0.2% lotion. It went away but it came back now. My question is, is it still good to use? It's been about 4 months since I used it. I'm wondering if it's still good to use because it's still in my cabinet. ## You never used the cream the first time? And no, this is a steroid, so it may not always be appropriate for conditions that can cause vaginal itching. It would be best to have this checked out, to make sure you obtain the correct treatment. Is there anything else I can help with?

Have you ever tried Allegra/Fexofenadine? It's very similar and also available over the counter. However, only your doctor can say wether or not it is safe for you. Side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. ## Ask your doctor about Singulair, it is a prescription/nondrowsy allergy medication. Since your allergic response "cells" are most productive in the early morning hours, like midnight through 3 am,, it is best to take Singulair at 8 pm so the drug peaks at that time. Talk to your doctor, I've seen amazing results.
All the pharmacy's are out and have been told that they will not recieve new shipments for 2 weeks to 2 months. Hooey. The U.S. Government stopped Shering-Plough from making it because of the meth issue. It's the only allergy medcine that works for me and they should be able to distribute in the U.S. with ID. ## Have you considered using honey to help combat allergies? Eating raw local honey can actually relieve seasonal allergies. It is said to work much like an allergy shot in that it exposes you to small amounts of allergens to help your body build immunity to the allergens. When bees pollinate to make honey, they bring back allergens from the flowers, trees, and other plants. This leaves small traces of those allergens in their honey. Just like the doctor gives you small amo...
Would Carbinoxamine by any chance be cause for severe toe/feet cramps even to the point of the toes crossing over the next toe? Sometimes just spreading apart while stiffening happens. Extremely painful. Almost as bad a labor pains. Labs are OK. Just trying to link new medicine if cause? Thank you ## Hello, Dana! How are you? No, I just read through the side effects and didn't find this mentioned anywhere. What all was checked on your lab work? That type of cramping can be caused by either dehydration or low potassium levels. ## This may sound too simple a "cure" for severe cramping of the toes... but I find that if I wear light-weight socks to bed, my toes do not cramp. Go figure. And good luck.
I found a little oval white pill with the markings L412 on it ## I can't find this one listed anywhere, however, I can tell you that pills marked with an L followed by 3 additional numbers are over the counter products. They are sold in many different countries as the generics or store brands. That would also explain why this isn't listed anywhere, OTC products are not required to have their imprints on file with the FDA. Does anyone know what this tablet is? ## This is generic claritin ## It is a generic pill. It is loratadine, its for allergies. Generic for claratin I believe.

is this cerizine ia a sleeping tablet?. FOR WHAT PURPUS IT WILL USE? MINIMUM HOW MG TAKE A NORMAL ASTHMA PATIENT ## No, this is not a sleeping pill. Cetirizine, the active ingredient in Zyrtec, is an antihistamine that is used to treat or prevent allergy symptoms, however, it can cause drowsiness in some people, as a side effect. As to how much of a dosage you should take, you should really consult your doctor, especially if you are on any other medications and have other health conditions. The standard dose is usually 10mgs, once a day. Has your doctor advised you to use this? ## I've taken 20 cetzine tablets each of 10 mg few months back. But due to stress i didnt slept that night and nothing happened so far. Why nothing happened? Will there be any side effects in future? ## Its gud
I have chest congestion and want to know which medication would work best for me. Promethazine vc syrup or mucinex ## Use Mucinex, don't use promethiazine it's not very safe with any continued use. It wouldn't help your congestion anyway, it's mainly for extreme nausea. ## (A second opinion): I would also recommend Mucinex for the same reason that Steve suggested. Also, you may want to consider cutting out any dairy products from your diet as they are mucous forming and can work against Mucinex in terms of clearing the congestion sooner rather than later. I hope this helps! ## Hello my 4yr old daughter is conjested real bad with nose running,Little fever, and her chest hurting..what medicine is good for her to take?
I can't believe it! Every time I find a product that works for me it is discontinued. My allergies have eased up in later years but I have my times I NEED my Drixoral. Can someone else make a comparable product? Help ## I've been to CVS, Walgreen's, plus markets that have pharmacies, and no Drixoral. It is the best for allergies, and also excellent for a cold with heavy runny nose. This is terrible! ## You are not alone - There are many others reporting the same thing. The manufacturer has actually removed it from the market temporarily while they change manufacturing facilities. At least that's what they say. There are a number of other discussion about this on the site, and you may be able to find someone who has tried a different product with comparable results. Good ...

please identify this pill, it is not white like cetirizine (zyrtec) it is light yellow. Definite color difference side by side. So we don't think it is cetrizine like what comes up if you put then number in. Round - light yellow- IP 46 on one side /blank on the other ## It should be a white tablet if it has that marking. Are you certain that the numbers are 46? Intrapharm does make many different medications. Where was it found/obtained? I'm wondering if it may be from a foreign source, damaged or something.
The last 3 dispensers I checked have significant amount of beads left over. I started checking as I seemed not to get relief any longer. I also am getting them from the VA I checked a couple 2 years ago and there was very little left after 60 doses. The 1st two I checked were close to expiration but the last expires Sept. 14th 2014 it is now April 9th 2014. It seems to sound differently when opening also. ## Hello, RonDon! How are you? You are not the first person to mention this. Have you contacted the manufacturer to inform them of the problem? Have you discussed it with your prescribing doctor?

It a small round plain white tablet. I'm would just like to know the mg before taking ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? I can't tell you anything about it without some markings or something to go by, if there aren't any, we can't even be certain of what the tablet contains. That said, Diphenhydramine is actually not a sleep medication, it is an antihistamine that can cause drowsiness as a side effect, that is often augmented when Acetaminophen is added, so it is often used to help induce sleep. Do you know anything else about the tablet you're questioning?

Updated in S-2Can you take alka. Seltzer pm with hyxroxyzine. And labatole ## The Alka Seltzer Cold PM contains Phenylephrine as one of the active ingredients and it can cause lessened efficacy of the Labetalol, which could result in elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Learn more Phenylephrine details here. Generally, systemic antihistamines should be avoided by anyone that has a heart condition and/or high blood pressure.
