I use the pill cypro it help me gain weight. I used it for my hay fever ad well I put on 7lbs slowly. But I have gained about 15lbs so far.it's. Not so bad. ## Hello, Margaret! How are you? Cyproheptadine is classified as an antihistamine and it is most commonly used to treat allergic reactions. The weight gain can be a side effect of it, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. However, like most side effects, they tend to be transient, so you may not always gain weight, while taking it, plus once you stop, you will most likely lose the weight. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm Tom, I want to use cyproheptadine for weight gain but I don't know wether it has any side effect on the reproductive system. ## Hello, Tom! How are you? This medication shouldn't be used just to gain weight, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. And I have no information on whether or not it will affect reproduction. How much do you weight, how tall are you and what is your age? ## I use it daily. Three times a day I gain weight on this pill i believe. In it.. It will make you drowsy but that will go away with time.
My son weight 89 pounds no appetite and he's paralyzed from the waist down so the pills will work for him ## Hello, Janice! How are you? In your son's case, you shouldn't give him anything, without his doctor's approval. His health is still very fragile and the slightest misstep could be a disaster. What other medications is he taking? How far underweight is he? The FDA classifies this medication as an antihistamine and its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. ## I gained weight from taking the pill. But everyone is different. I don't think it would hurt to try, they will make you drowsy. But that will go away in time.

My child is 6. She has been taking sulfameth-trimeth for a few days now for a uti. However, she is complaining of a sore throat. Can I give her otc children's cough medicine while on this antibiotic? ## Hello, Sheila! How is your daughter? Cough medicine really won't do much to help a sore throat and it's best not to give her anything, without her doctor's approval. What infection is being treated? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and non-allergic skin rash.
I took lorantidine and ive swollen bad i broke out vaginally.and all the outside area os very swollen and i want to know if sulfa is in this med.im also burning all over. ## I hope not in sulfa family. been taking this for allergies to irrantants. helps keep phylem down and out. ## Hi Coco, I haven't come across any specific details here suggesting that loratadine contains sufla. However I think it may be a good idea to ask your doctor for an allergy test to at least see if you're allergic to loratadine regardless of whether or not it contains sulfa. When I look at loratadine-related allergies on NIH.gov, they only list swelling & hives on the extremities, face, throat or mouth; but nothing outside of that. So I wonder if you may just be experiencing an unusual side effect? ...
Has anyone been or currently prescribed Cetirizine and multiple other allergy-antihistamines at the same time? It helped at first but then I got allergic to 12 other medications in about 1.5 years. Ibuprophen end was the first, then came Dapsone. I was prescribed Cetirizine, Ranitidine, Xolaire, Montelucast, and Diphenhydramine-Benadryl. I now have Montelucast, Doxepin, and Cetirizine added to my allergy list. Can combining Xolair, Ranitidine, and Diphenhydramine cause another allergic reaction or is that just withdrawal or ongoing side effects from stopping cetirizine and doxepin within one week together? Reactions every night now since August 23rd. Sometimes small or just an epi pen or prednisone. Doctor said 'Doxepin is the last and only thing that will help'. I'm allergi...
Updated in Cetirizine Hydrochloride Allergysmall white round pill, with a slash in middle has letters gg on top & numbers 225 on bottom. thanks ## THIS IS NOT A PAIN PILL OF ANY TYPE! This pill contains Promethazine 25mgs, which is used to help prevent vomiting and allergic reactions. It is a generic for Phenergan. ## I had a full knee replacement recently and they gave me Dalada for pain but I am real sensitive to medications which they were aware of. Does this medicine make you halicinate and unable to know what you are doing? I saw lizards, snakes, panthers in a flower pot and even a soap container that looked like a mans face and he looked like he had real eyes and the mouth was the dispenser. I knew this after 4 days of not remembering anything. That is the only medicine they gave me other than the ones I can handle. I ...
Was trying to order periactin weight gains my appetite is down i go maybe 2 days without bein able to eat i think its stress but i am losing to much weight ## Because Cyproheptadine (Periactin) is a prescription medication - at least here in the US - you will need to visit a doctor in order to get it prescribed. Something to keep in mind though is that if you intend on using this medication for weight gain, doing so may be a waste of time in my opinion, since Cyproheptadine is an antihistamine and weight gain is only listed a possible side effect that may or may not occur. So if you ask me, hoping for 1 side effect to pull through doesn't necessarily sound like a feasible approach to weight gain. Have you considered discussing appetite stimulants with your doctor or maybe even an he...
After using albuterol in a nebulizer for about six applications, my body - especially my hands - were shaking uncontrollably. I refused further doses, beginning 36 hours ago. The shaking is better, but still severe. Question: how long can I expect this drug to remain in my system? ## Hello, Grammy! How are you feeling? That can be a normal side effect of this medication, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects, may possibly include dry mouth, dizziness, headache and insomnia. You weren't on it for very long, so it should only take a few days for things to settle back down. Is there anything else I can help with?
I normally take AleveD sinus&cold for my nasal congestion. I have not taken any since I started taking Amox/K Clav a couple days ago, but now my runny nose is driving me crazy. What are some possible side effects and risks to combining them? ## Hello, Kandie! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these medications, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The FDA lists the typical side effects for this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi I am basically looking for the original sudafed as I dont handle the sudafed PE and these are the ones that do the job for me. Also the generic brand equivalent to the sudafed original are also just as good. ## I had the same issue with the newer, version on the shelf. I ended up purchasing the Walgreens generic version of the original Sudafed after finding out the over the counter is not the same as the original. I get the 4hr red pill and it works fine. You have to ask the pharmacist for it as it is no longer on the shelf and you have to sign for it.
I've been taking Fedac daily to fall asleep as I have difficulties sleeping. I have been taking it for months. Should I be worried for any side effects? ## Hello, Arpeggi! How are you? Yes, this medication is listed as containing Pseudoephedrine and Triprolidine and long-term use of the Pseudoephedrine can be dangerous, it can cause elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. It's amazing that it helps you sleep as it usually tends to cause insomnia in most people. Have you consulted a doctor to see what you can safely take to help with your insomnia? ## Many thanks for the reply, I have not spoke to a doctor about it yet. Maybe I should. I've tried to be less dependent on it, but to...

UpdatedMy child is having non stop cough and also shortness of breath especially when she can run or goes faster. She is 5 years full. ## Hello, Thenji! How is your daughter? That might not be an infection, she may have allergies, asthma or a heart condition, the NIH lists them all as possibly causing these types of symptoms. Have you had her evaluated by a doctor? This needs to be done to obtain a proper diagnosis and then treatment can be pursued.
