Im on my 3rd week of pregnancy. My doctor prescribed nasatapp to me because of my allergy. Is it safe to drink? what are the possible effects to my baby since im on my first trimester? ## Nasatapp contains the active ingredients Phenylpropanolamine and Brompheniramine, it used to treat allergies. The problematic medication here is the Phenylpropanolamine, the U.S. FDA removed it from over the counter sale due to safety concerns. It was found to greatly increase the risk of strokes in those that used it. In addition, when it was used by pregnant women, it was found to cause birth defects. If it were me, I would seriously discuss these issues with my doctor, before using the medication and ask if there is something safe that they can prescribe. Are there any other comments or questions? #...
Will The weight gainer Cb1 help me gain weight like the weight gainer perieactive ## Hello, Based on my research, Periactin (cyproheptadine) is a prescription medicine that is sometimes given to people who need to gain weight, and Cb1 is a weight gain supplement. That being said, these two pills are very different and may produce different results. It's impossible to know how something will work for you unless you try it yourself. From what I've read, there are people that have had success with Periactin, but that doesn't mean that everyone will have positive results. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Periactin Details Have you spoken with a doctor about taking this medication/weight gainer? ## Cb1 do not work tried that but cyproheptadine really do works yo...
does this medicine help to gain height? ## Buclizine Syrup is considered to be an antiemetic, similar to meclozine. The product packaging notes that it is in fact used for increasing the appetite to promote weight gain. Do you have any other questions or comments concerning this drug? Please post back if you do. ## i want a specific answer regarding the drug - that does it have any role in gaining height? ## My apologies for not being as clear on my answer. This medication is ONLY used to stimulate the appetite to promote weight gain. It does not play any role in increasing your height. I would suggest looking into growth hormone related products if your wanting to gain some height. Additionally, exercising (specifically stretching) on a daily basis can stimulate your growth hormones fo...
Okay so last night I was staying the night with a friend and we were perfectly fine not pitching no marks nothing and then this morning tee wake up to both of us itching and breaking out all over ## Hello, Diedra! How are you? Flea bites would not cause all over itching and breaking out. They would be small areas localized to just where you were bitten. Have you consulted your doctor? It sounds like this may be something else, possibly bed bugs, which must be treated differently. That said, no this ointment should not use, unless your doctor instructs you to do so, because using it for the wrong condition could worsen the problem. The FDA lists its typical side effects as including skin redness, irritation, itching and acne. ## Can gold bond anti itch cream be used for flea bites on a p...
Trying to obtain this product in our local pharmacies. Just two weeks ago I tried buying it at COSTCO. The National Drug Code is 0603-1330-58. ## Hi Fernando, Have you already checked with any other pharmacies outside of Costco regarding its availability? I see that the National Drug Code comes up on MedsChat's NDC database as a product of Qualites Pharmaceuticals. So one idea may be to contact the manufacturer directly to see which pharmacies they distribute this to... You could also ask your pharmacy to order it? Another option is to visit a compounding pharmacy with your prescription in hand and see if they can make a custom formulation for you. If it's of any help, the two active ingredients are: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Guaifenesin. And the medication itself reported...
I go to pain management. They had tested me and said I was dirty for methamphetamine. Now they say they cant give me my meds. But I don't use meth or any drugs. It's caused by my nebulizer and my inhaler. How can i prove to the doctor that i don't use meth? ## Hi Yvonne - sorry to hear about the issues with the lab work. I believe that certain asthma medications can indeed affect drug tests. Do you see different doctors for the pain management versus asthma medication? If so then you can have your pain Dr get the medical records or proof of prescription from the other doc and they should recognize that lab results can be affected by it. Have you already tried doing that? And if so, what did they say? ## No this barley happened today when i went to my Dr. Now he says hes goin...
I'm told that since the Watson company was sold, that their name would not be on the promethazine + codeine prescription anymore. Is that true? ## @Jabnet, Interestingly enough, even though Watson is now known as Actavis, for the longest time I've continued to see the Watson logo still depicted on many of their tablets. However, what makes this even more confusing is that as of August 2016, Actavis was acquired by Teva; so it would probably be difficult to tract down the Watson name on various products if they keep passing the baton from one company to the next every few years. Furthermore, Teva's webpage lists their promethazine and codeine as separate meds (not as a combination product). I think your best bet for up to date product details may be to contact Teva directly a...
Can a heart patient take Benadryl for poison ivy iching and burning?..I am unable to sleep with the iching. Can you tell me what to take?. ## Ask your doctor about Chlobetasol Proprianate. It was originally an excema cream. I swear by it. I can stand outside and if the wind blows on poison ivy, I get it. If you can use cortisone cream, you should be able to use this. It is the only thing that works for me. ## Hello, Brad! How are you doing? My cardiologist approved of my taking Benadryl, when needed, however, it can also depend on what other medications you are taking, so it is always best to check with your doctor, first. However, if you post back with the names of your other medications, I can also check for interactions for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Benadryl as p...
The blue oval pills were found in my daughters shirts pocket. When asked she said she can't sleep so she's taking them. I feel like there is another reason because why hide them and why carry many of them around in your shorts pocket? Just weird. If anyone had heard of anything other than normal use let me know. Sounds like there are several parents who have had just as odd of and encounter so I'm wondering if they are taking it in another way than recommended ## Hello, Trish! How are you? They are listed as only containing 25mgs of Diphenhydramine, the same ingredient that is in Benadryl that makes people drowsy, when they take it to treat allergic reactions, as reported by the manufacturer. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry...

I went to the E.R. on Sun night for a migraine and they ended prescribing amox/k clav 875/125, 1x every 12 hrs. & flonase spray for sinnitius & something about slanted ear or something to do with ears. Now what my concern is, it is now Thursday and i've taken as prescribed. However since the 2nd day of dosing my symptoms went from (only the doctor noticed them and then treated to) me being miserable with sinuses either running/foamy, to feeling like bees built a hive. & my eyes either water like a faucet or they feel gooey in the inner corners while eyelashes feel like spider legs. Also noticed inside the inner corner of my eye behind the tear duct all through the corner it's reddish with yellow spots. Is this anything that i need to return to my doctor for or will t...

Saw my GP on Friday with a tight chest and breathing discomfort. I have history of pulmonary embolsm. Have flu symptoms as well. Was nebulized with oxygen, prescribed betamox and mybulen and cough syrup to clear chest. I have horrific headaches and nausea. Could it be because of overdosing on betamox?? Instructions says 3 tabs 3x day (500mg). ## It is very hard to actually overdose on an antibiotic, in most cases, according to the U.S. FDA, you will just experience more intense side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache and diarrhea. So yes, the headaches and nausea could be due to the antibiotic. How long will you be taking it?
I am concerned about the list of inactive ingredients listed on the bottle which I don't see listed in the drug store brand I usually buy. The inactive ingredients listed are: Benzoyl alcohol, butylparaben, d & c red 28, edible black ink, F d & c blue#1 and red #40, gelatin, lactose, magnesium stearate, methylparaben, polysorbate 80, propylparaben, and sodium laurel sulfate. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? I understand your concern. However, there is a regularly updated list of acceptable inactive ingredients that the FDA classifies as being safe to use in medications, which ones a manufacturer decides to use is entirely up to them, but they cannot use anything that isn't on that list. While there is always a risk of someone having a reaction to one of them, or being aller...
