Saw my GP on Friday with a tight chest and breathing discomfort. I have history of pulmonary embolsm. Have flu symptoms as well. Was nebulized with oxygen, prescribed betamox and mybulen and cough syrup to clear chest. I have horrific headaches and nausea. Could it be because of overdosing on betamox?? Instructions says 3 tabs 3x day (500mg).

It is very hard to actually overdose on an antibiotic, in most cases, according to the U.S. FDA, you will just experience more intense side effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, headache and diarrhea.

So yes, the headaches and nausea could be due to the antibiotic.

How long will you be taking it?
