Background: Been taking 1 Actifed/Aprodine a day for at least 30 years. Started taking it for allergies and discovered as I got older and had trouble sleeping that it helped greatly with that. (Some folks have the opposite side effect and it makes them hyperactive.) Like most of those posting here it is getting harder and harder to get even though I have a prescription from my physician to purchase it in bottles of 100. No dice. Aprodine seems to have phased it out in 100s likely because it's much cheaper than the blister packs. Question: My allergist tells me Actifed is one of the "older" antihistamines and that it has the ability to penetrate the blood/brain barrier and that this quality may have negative implications for long term usage. And that is all I can find out, bu...

My son suffers from severe migraines and has been on this medicine for 4 1/2 years. We recently took him off because we felt like his headaches have been more often and more severe. He has been off for almost 2 weeks and has been very tired, very moody and has not been eating as much. ## That is normal. Even if someone isn't abusing a medication, your body gets used to having that substance and abruptly stopping it will cause some withdrawal symptoms. Since he was on it for so long, his body has to make a major adjustment and get used to working without the medication. He may even begin to suffer rebound migraines, chills, fever and nausea. It will, eventually, taper off, but you may want to consult a doctor, just in case. ## My son(5Yrs) is suffering from headache doctor advised to...

I recently tried to purchase sine-aid at CVS. They could not locate in their catalog let alone sell it. They used to sell it but you had to ask the druggist. ## It does not appear to be available in the U.S., any longer. I am not sure if it is temporary or permanently discontinued. Sine Aid contains Pseudoephedrine and Acetaminophen, the first ingredient probably explains why it is no longer available. Since these products have been moved behind the counter, to prevent abuse, many of them have lost sales and stopped making their products. However, you could ask at the pharmacy for what else they have available that has the same ingredients. Also, have you tried searching for it on the internet to see if you can order it? ## Walmart has it! ## Alternative To Sine Aid - there is a replace...

I took a tablet and developed rushes on my face and got abdominal pains. Is this serious? Then what happens if I take 2 tablets in a day while the doctor prescribed 1 tablet per day ## Ebastel contains the antihistamine Ebastine, but if you had such a harsh reaction to it, then it wouldn't be advisable to continue taking it, without seeking medical evaluation first. The abdominal pain is a known side effect that you can read more Ebastine details about here. It's just not a very common one. However, the rash may signify that you're allergic to it. How many had you taken when you experienced this reaction? ## Ebastel 10mg where can I find it? ## Must of eaten something thatday wasn't the pills.... they're not strong to cause these affects which everyone whining about!

This is my second time noticing that I have some problems taking solmux 500mg. The first time was every time I coughed, I could feel so much pain in my stomach. My coughing had to be long and hard. The next day I went to the doctor, who instead prescribed me with an antibiotic. This time after a few hours of taking the first solmux capsule, I felt so much itching from my shoulders down to my whole back to my butt area, then to my chest. I had went to sleep but I just suddenly woke up because my front lips were swelling already. The itching of my skin went throughout all of my body. My son, who is 3 years old, takes Co-Amoxi-Clav and Bricanyl (an expectorant) for his cough. However, since the medicine ran out, I tried to buy it and found that it's already phased out. What else can I use in place of Bricanyl? Can Salbutamol Guafenesin act as an alternative to Bricanyl?

Hello, I was diagnosed with Pneumonia 4 weeks ago, tried Zpack it didn't work then I tried Ampicillin it cleared up the Pneumonia but left me with fluid behind the ear drum the pharmacist suggested Benadryl, I do have another bottle of amoxicillin. I'm not in pain, no infection per ENT my hearing is just badly impaired. Thank You, for you thoughts. ## Hello, Brittany! How are you? It is a decongestant, so it can have a drying effect and might help. Side effects to it may include dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. Oblong white pill. Side 'A' is split down the middle. On the right side of the split there is a triangle with no bottom that has a capital 'P' inside the triangle. I received iron infusions in the spring of 2016...Here it is December of 2016 and I am suffering from severe itching mainly on my lower legs and also my arms. I have not been told by a doctor that this would be the price I have to pay for building up my iron. I believe that I was given way too much. I have been to a skin Dr, Hematologist, had several blood tests, Etc. I wish that someone can come up with an answer. I would truly appreciate it... Thank you so much!!! ## The NIH and FDA both warn that some side effects caused by iron infusions carry the risk of being permanent, including body aches, and joint pain. It really doesn't have anything to do with being given too much, it's just the nature of how it works in some people's bodies. Does anything help alleviate the itch...

how long do the side effects last? I took it last night? ## No one can really tell you how long you'll experience the side effects of a medication. Medications can affect everyone differently, some people get great results from taking, but there are others that it doesn't work for; the only way to find out is to actually try it and be you're own best advocate over time. If in fact you are experiencing some undesirable adverse effects, I would highly recommend contacting your doctor immediately about switching medications or looking into natural remedy solutions for your symptoms or condition. ## Does Loratadine work for headaches, runny nose, pain in my face, chest irritations (feels like a knott in my chest)? That is the way it started like something was stuck in my chest o...

My mom has been taking Thyrox 25 for the last month. However, she has been suffering from skin problems such as itching and rashes for the past 2 to 3 weeks. These rashes resemble rings on the skin and they're spreading. Could this be a side effect of the medication mentioned above? Please advise. ## The typical side effects of this medication are listed by the NIH as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, weight changes, and hair loss. If she has a rash that looks like rings and is spreading, it could be a fungal infection, or something bacterial. She needs to have that checked out by her doctor. Is she on any other medications? Has there been any change in the rash?
