I am a little nauseated but they may be because I have not eaten today. My temperature is up and down. My 8 month old baby often suffers from a cough and my pediatrician gave me ambroxol for him to take twice a day (2.5ml for each dose). My baby's weight is 8 kg. Phenergan contains the active ingredient Promethazine and is commonly used to help prevent nausea and vomiting. I have been taking Omnacortil 10mg daily for about 2 years to address alopecia issues. However, whenever I attempt to stop taking it or reduce the dosage by 5mg, I experience numerous side effects and the alopecia patches return. I develop a severe allergy that begins in my eyes, my appetite decreases, and my eyes blink continuously. What should I do? Last night we switched my 16yo from Claritin to Xyzal - She woke up with more hives than normal. Should this start working right away for hives? Or does it take a while to build up in the system? ## Why was her medication switched? It should work within 15 to 20 minutes, just like the Claritin did. I have initially took 5/5 mg of coveram for 2 months.. after my bp was found to be at 160/100.. the doctor prescribed 10/10 coveram but it causes heavy dry cough which lasted for more than a month.. another doctor prescribed to me another medication to stop my coughing. ## A dry cough is a possible side effect of most blood pressure medications, according to the NIH.
