Initially it was giving me headaches so I wasn’t using it a lot, now that it’s August and ragweed is really bad I’ve been using it regularly. I read the paperwork the pharmacy prints and I don’t remember seeing a warning that it can eat a hole in your face, but the insert in the box with the bottle certainly states that it can, but it claims it takes 12 months. I am here to warn you to tell you that it caused an ulcer in my nose after less than four months. It started happening pretty quickly, I just didn’t realize what was happening. I thought it was just dryness up there. Nope. The good news is that as soon as I stopped using it and I applied some petroleum jelly to the ulcer a c...

In December I was diagnosed w/ cataracts in both eyes (I'm only 54). Two days ago I heard an ad on TV for Nasonex & it mentioned cataracts were a possible side effect. I used Nasonex for a few months a couple of years ago & I just bet it's the culprit behind my eye problems. Anyone else in the same boat as me? ## Nasonex may cause cataracts or glaucoma, or it can make these conditions worse, however, the problem you are going to have is the burden of proof. Do you have any medical evidence that will show that you got them from using the Nasonex and not due to some other reason? These legal suits don't really net anyone any money, other than the lawyers that are involved, if one does get filed and the only people that can get any type of recompense are those with proo...
Has anyone used Nasacort (nasal spray) for Vertigo? ## Yes, actually i was this week. I've been having vertigo for 4 weeks probably a total of 6 times, happens very suddenly. My doctor wants me to try this spray and then come back if it is still happening, i've been using the spray for 3 days and it happened today. So i'm not the confident that its working really, my thought is that its an infection of some kind, not just an allergic reaction. ## Some cases of vertigo are known to be caused by allergies, in such cases, treating the allergy, and its symptoms can help treat the vertigo. The FDA does warn that Nasacort may cause side effects, such as dry nose, bloody nose, funny taste in mouth, nausea, and dizziness. Ref: Nasacort Information Is there anything else I can help w...
I am looking for tripelennamine. As a pharmacist I clearly remember 60mg then sr 100mg tabs being available. Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra together could not work as well pbz. I worked at smoke filled bowling alley back then and pbz with Sudafed were required. ## According to "Martindale the Complete Drug Reference" & "Physician's Desk Reference", Pyribenzamine (tripelennamine hcl) is no longer produced in brand or generic versions in the USA. It is said to still be available in bulk powder, something like a minimum order of 25 gram bottles, strictly sold only to a USA pharmacy, or a USA "compounding pharmacy". It is also noted to be manufactured in about 4 or 5 other countries, but those countries are based in or around Europe. Others have suggested looking ...

It's a blue pill I was asked to identify. It's a blue oblong pill with "D B" on one side, blank on the other. Every place I've looked to try and identify this pill has directed me to "DP" or "DB02" or "DB03", but not just "D B". I have no other identification on it. ## This is most likely an over the counter sleep aid which contains Diphenhydramine 25 mg (NDC 76168-015). If you check the page on DailyMed and go to the section called "Ingredients and Appearance", it describes a blue oblong tablet (13mm) with no score line and imprint code DB. The fact that it's an OTC product could also help to explain why it's been so hard to identify. They also have images of product packaging on that page, and on the front of the pack...

Is there a difference between the compositions of Solvin Tablet vs Solvin COLD Tablet ? If so please discuss. Thks. ## As far as I can tell there is a difference between "Solvin" and "Solvin Cold AF" tablets. Solvin is a cough and cold preparation containing the active ingredients Bromhexine + Pseudoephedrine. This is a mucolytic & decongestant combination used in the treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid or excessive mucus. You can learn more about each drug on the page for Bromhexine Details and Pseudoephedrine Details Solvin Cold AF contains slightly different ingredients (Phenylephrine + Chlorpheniramine maleate), but is still used for the same purposes; primarily nasal congestion. I hope this helps! ## I am suffering from cough, running nose,...

It contains Acetaminophen and Phenylephrine. There are actually many products on the market that contain this combination, both generic, store and name brands. Have you tried perhaps asking your pharmacist what else might have the same stuff in it? ## I have, also, been trying to find Sinutab sinus caplets. This, it's not something special to specifically help with appetite. However, an improper appetite that may be causing him to not get enough nutrients kind of starts a cycle, where his health and appetite may get worse, due to one contributing to the other. The ingredients in Propan Syrup are: Buclizine HCl 5 mg, retinol palmitate 2,000 iu, cholecalciferol 200 iu, d-α tocopherol acetate 1 iu, thiamine HCl 1 mg, riboflavin-5-p...

Is the formula for Lee's Save the Baby (liquid in the glass bottle NOT the rub on salve) patent protected, does anyone know how to obtain the formula ## It was made by the Lee's company and yes, it is patent protected. The reason it is no longer available is that it contained Camphor, yes, even in the liquid that was taken internally and the FDA has recognized this as being unsafe. Camphor is now only approved to be used topically. As to the other ingredients, I am sorry, I have been unable to discover that. Does anyone else know? ## We used Save the Baby in the 1970s and got it in Maine. It was made by a family in New York in the late 1800s. It contained Canadian Balsam and was suspended in a lard base. I would heat the bottle up and it would melt into the liquid. Then I would ...
