Good day, I have become overdependant on Sinucon. I've been taking ±10 Sinucons a day for the last 4 years. I get no withdrawel symptoms if I don't take it, I just get flooded with sinuses! I can take any other make of sinus treatment as well, but I stick to Sinucon because it is affordable and because it is effective. I want to know how this bad habit of mine is doing to my health. Can it damage my liver / kidneys if I take it chronically? Please advise on how to get off of this medication (and habit) if it poses any danger to my health. Thank you, Sinuconned ## The danger from overusing these types of meds is more to your heart rather than your kidneys. These decongestants tend to cause accelerated heart rate and they can also cause high blood pressure. As to getting off ...
my mother in law gave my daughter a pill that i dont know. my daughter is 8 and sheh said it was an oval pill that was pink on one side red on the other and white in the middle. she said her grandma said it was for asthma. can you tell me what this might be? ## It sounds like the standard description of a Benadryl tablet, though I can't guarantee that without knowing the imprint, but that is what they usually look like and they work very well for asthma.
This is a white, oblong shaped pill with CYP 274 imprinted on it. what is it? ## I have this oval shaped pill in a bag. It is cyp 274 on the pill. Also I have one that has R180 on it. I cared for my mother, who passed away on Nov 2nd from leukemia and have many different pills and not sure what they are for. We also have many medications that she only took for a day or two. Does anyone out there have a problem with this drug and teenagers popping these to feel high? My son almost killed himself on June 2nd, 2007. He took a whole box of these and drove a vehicle. They put a limit on sudafed, why not these pills? ## These pills contain DXM which is highly abusable by teenagers. However, coricidin contains other active ingredients which are lethal in high doses however DXM is not very much so. I used to be addicted to these activities. I would take a whole bottle of robitussin cough gels and have a great night. It is called robo-tripping and has similar effects to ketamine and magic mushrooms. Sudafed however does not contain DXM, and many people aren't going to disregard the warnings on pill bottles.
