I think this may be some kind of sinus or allergy medicine but it has nothing of a name on it. Does anyone know what it is? ## I'm sorry, but I can't any information on this. The 44 followed by 3 additional numbers are used on over the counter products, but as such, it is not required that the imprints be registered with the FDA. Does anyone else recognize this medication?

My daughter was taking DAllergy Jr. capsules for her allergies. It is the only medicine that we have found that really works for her. It was prescribed by her allergist. We haven't been able to get this drug for over 10 months or so, due to a problem with the manufacturer (that's what we were told). Now I hear that it is back on the market, but my insurance requires that I buy the generic version of this, which NO ONE seems to be able to get. Does anyone know what is up with this? I am so frustrated. It doesn't seem that I can get any straight answers or find a pharmacy that might be able to get me the medicine my daughter needs. ## Same with daughter was taking Dallergy Jr. tablets to and worked very well for ger and now we can't get them for over 10 months, because of M...

Cheapest source for loose tablets, not in blister packs ## I'm sorry, but this site does not manufacture, nor sell any products, thus I do not have this information for you. Have you tried checking the price at various pharmacies and stores? I am also not sure where you would find them in different packaging. The Pseudoephedrine also cannot be purchased in bulk amounts, anymore.

Have taken DuraVent DA, Omnihist, and now NOhist Plus -- all are off the market and I cannot find any substitute. Help -- other allergy medications have not worked for me. I have taken these drugs for about 20 years and am desperate for a replacement. ## I am in the same situation. I took Duravent and then Omnihist. I just learned that Omnihist is not available now. None of the over the counter drugs seems to keep my ears unclogged as did these drugs. Mucinex gave me a little relief, but it is not nearly as good as the prescription drugs. Any suggestions out there? My doctor could not recommend a good replacement for it. ## I'm sorry, I really wish I had an answer for you, there were some medications on the market that had actually never been proven safe for us and approved by the F...

If med has expired, does that mean it's ineffective? Or stronger? Mine expired 10/09. Thank you. ## Hi Teri, Certain drugs are actually okay to take after expiration, whereas others such as antibiotics can become toxic. Tussionex contains a combination of Chlorpheniramine + Hydrocodone. My personal assumption is that it lost a good percentage of its potency by now, having been over 2 years old. It may still be effective, but not nearly as potent. It's also impossible to give a direct answer to this question, since each medication can effect people differently. We all know that it's better to avoid the expired drugs and stay on the safe side, but unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it. As far as side effects go for this medication, I'd recommend fol...

This is a very helpful website. I take Metformin extended release for uncontrolled blood sugar and this past week the sugars have been between 200 and 300 irregardless. Today I noticed a different coding 900/25 and called the pharmacy but there were unable to identify the pill over the phone and said to bring it in. I held onto Duratuss VIC because it was pulled from the market and the only thing controlled my frequent sinusitis. The pills are similar in shape/size and with the pharmacy frequently changing the brands it complicate the matter. The pharmacy recommended in its place Mucinex and the company recommended Mucinex D but that contains 60mg. of pseudoephedrine but I managed with only 1/2 tab of Duratuss (900/25) which would be 450/12.5mg) In past had problems with decongestants s...

compare use and effectiveness of maxiphen & musinex ## It really depends on the brand of Mucinex you get, because some packages contain Guaifenesin + Phenylephrine; while the standard brand of Maxiphen already contains both of these. I think the standard Mucinex only contains Guaifenesin from what I can tell (there are many different variations of Mucinex/D/DM/DM For Kids/etc). Some also contain a different combination of Guaifenesin + Dextromethorphan (kids version). That said, there are no differences between these two medications, since they both "can" contain the same active ingredient(s) depending on which one you choose. It may just come down to personal preference when trying to decide which one works best for you. If you follow the link below and scroll towards the b...

My mother found a white pill she said was kind of oblong but not oval, flat with a 10 on one side and ctn on the other side. She is really worried because we have a 13 year old in the house who's mother has a drug history. Any help we can get will help. It may be nothing but we want to be safe about this. ## Hi Misty, Based on the description provided, I found this pill to be Cetirizine hydrochloride (10 mg). Cetirizine hydrochloride is a major metabolite of hydroxyzine, and a racemic selective H1 receptor inverse agonist used in the treatment of allergies, hay fever, angioedema, and urticaria. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you.

Pink pill with V in a oval & 25 on other side is a generic Benadryl .... 100% positive! ## Thanks for sharing this information! I was also able to confirm this pill to be 25 mgs of Benadryl (Diphenhydramine). Generally, over the counter medications like this don't show up in the prescription drug databases, so it's really helpful to have other users post this for verification. You can view a detailed description of Diphenhydramine by visiting the link below... Hopefully this helps anyone looking for more information.

red pill has a f stamped on it and the othere side may have an e or just another f ## Unfortunately I couldn't find an exact match to your description. The closest match being a round red pill with the imprint "C F" on one of the sides and blank on the other. This pill is identified as Coricidin HBP Cold & Flu (Acetaminophen 325mg + Chlorpheniramine 2mg). If this does not match your pill, is there any possibility that the marking has simply been misread? Please post back if you have any other comments or information to add and hopefully we can figure out what it is.

I found a blue, round pill, with 258 on one side, and a line that splits the pill in half on the other. Can anyone please help me out with what this is? ## I'm sorry, but I can't find a definitive identification for this one. There is one with the same marking that contains 25mgs of Diphenhydramine, but it does not have the score line. Where was it found?

Is Naldegesic still available or has it been discontinued? ## I was unable to find out about the availability of that specific brand called Naldegesic, as from what I can tell it is manufactured outside of the US.
