Allergic Reactions

I'm allergic to aspirin. Can I take cyclobenzaprine? My doctor prescribed it to me a year ago for back pain but never took it. I'm having really bad pain due to a fall now and I have the pills of cyclobenzaprine from last year. They are 10mg round tablets.

You can still take it, if your doctor approves and it isn't expired.

However, you should be aware that this is not an actual analgesic. Cyclobenzaprine is classified as a muscle relaxant, so it only helps with the pain and spasms causes by muscle strains and injuries. It's typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.
