Re: Cathie (# 133)
First of all, who is it that down votes all these comments even tho there's no reason to do it? It's uncalled for.
If you live in western Pennsylvania Dr. Malosky is absolutely wonderful. Careing, really listens to your complaint and she gives you a choice of? Meds or shot's. She is in Sharon, Pa. On Conelley Boulevard across from the Sharon Police station. She is awesome!!! Look up Sharon community Health, that is her. Good luck with everything. You will love her.
Re: Keikee (# 17)
I am on 30 mg oxycodne 4 times a day. Could you please help me Keikee? I live on the Ohio, PA. state line. I was with my Dr. for 22 years and he got busted and I can't even call anybody to get my records from him. He left the state. I went to a pain management doctor in Sharon, PA. And the nurse there was shady to me and a few others I got to know there. I take my medicine religiously or I can't function, my first urine supposedly got lost by UPS, the next one came back there was no meds in my system. Which was a lie. I went to a pcp for a few months just to get my meds, in Butler County PA, who gets hired? That nurse, she was fired for bad work ethics! She quit 2 days later. I asked her why she was so shady, she said if I don't want you there you won't be. Needless to say I can't find a pain management doctor to save my life. I am 60, and can't get the shot's because within 24 hours I have a heart attack. Last one was last May and almost died. Was in ICCU for 12 days. I am begging you please for the name of a good pain management doctor in Niles, Boardman, or Warren Ohio. I am really ready to have a nervous meltdown over this. I am not unstable or nutty, I have a wonderful pcp now, but he is new and I have to find a pain management doctor ASAP. Please help!
Re: keikee (# 5)
I live in akron and just moved here from Philadelphia. I have to start with a primary who will prescribe my medication. I have all my records with me. Any suggestions?
Re: Tim (# 4)
Hello! Are you talking about Dr, Gardner? I'm new to Ohio and I'm in North Canton looking for a pain management. I've been to a few and they are just rude and unhelpful.. please help me find a doctor asap! Thank you. Specifically Oxymorphone ER 40mg
Wayne, The comment just before yours, number 128, says Comprehensive Pain Management has many offices around the northeast-ish Ohio area. He even gives phone numbers and names of a particular Dr to avoid. Do you have documentation of your allergic reaction to the injections? Has any Dr tried any type of sacral nerve block for you? I personally wouldn't let anyone stick a needle or wire or whatever into my sacral spine areas but I understand that does work for some. My pain isn't in my back specifically but don't think that didn't stop Drs from doing their injections, nerve block procedures. I hope you are able to find some relief for yourself! Good luck. Take care of yourself most importantly.
What is the office name or Dr name. Need to get into pain management and no one will refer me and if they do it's only to injection places which I am allergic to.
Hi Patti & Others~ There is a pain clinic the doctor's name is Dr. Lababidi, don't see anyone else but Dr. Lababidi. Stay away from Dr. Fuad. He is a nightmare. He will basically laugh in your face. If you get Dr. Lababidi or Dr. Yang you will be okay. Doctor Fuad you will not be okay. The name of the pain clinic is Comprehensive Pain Clinic. They have about 14 offices all over the Akron Canton area. They are in Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Cleveland, Kent, Canton, Medina, green. He has multiple offices. Dr. Lababidi and Dr. Yang are excellent doctors. But stay away from a Dr, Fuad..... There are other excellent doctors in this practice as well. Great nurse practitioners and doctor's assistant.
But again stay away from Dr, Fuad. When you try to make an appointment at Comprehensive Pain Management. They will try to stick you with Dr. Fuad. Just tell them you would rather see Dr. Lababidi or Dr.Yang or basically anyone but Dr, Fuad. Maybe in a nicer way. LOL .He's awful absolutely awful. And I speak from experience with this man. And so many other people have dealt with this horrible no bedside manner human being. And he doesn't like to prescribe any narcotics that' even are going to come close to helping you.
I know I keep mentioning Dr. Fuads name over and over. Because I'm just trying to warn you not to go to him. He doesn't care about you. He just doesn't. Now that I am done with my rant. Here is Comprehensive Pain Clinics phone number.
(330-208-2720) I hope you can find help at Comprehensive. I also have another name for all of you and a phone number. I promise I won't rant on about this one as bad as I did Fuad. LOL
Western Reserve Spine and Pain~ There is just one phone number that goes into several of their offices. This number here will go in to the Kent office. Which would be by the University of Kent State of Ohio.
They only have two doctors there. And several nurse practitioners, and Doctor's assistance.... She is fabulous. Dr. Maeda. I hope I'm spelling. Dr, Maeda's name right. I'm going to give you two numbers; For Dr. Maeda, I would call (330-665-5192) first / (1-800-941-6672).
Dr. Lababidi's office has a lot of pain doctors in all of their many offices. So you may have a better chance of getting in there before Dr. Maeda's office. But if you could hold out and wait to get into Dr. Mehta's office I would personally go that route. Dr,. Maeda.
This has taken me awhile to write. I wish all of you the best. And if you wouldn't mind I would so appreciate it if you could send back an update on who you did get into and how it's working out for you. I would so appreciate that. Only takes a second. Thank you very much and have a Blessed evening. Again good luck.
In 2017, no one should suffer any longer. The new laws stink. I have been in touch with Mr. Brown and several others. This has to stop. Mr. Brown and Mr, Portman seems to really want to help all of us pain patients. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being classified an addict. Thank God I have a great doctor. And I do believe the pharmacist are almost as bad as the doctors. The way they look at you the way they look at the prescription it is just so self-degrading. This has to stop.
We will be protesting in September I hope so many will join us. I have rambled on enough. Again have an awesome weekend. And please give me an update. Wish you the best of health. I do have to say some pharmacist are definitely on a power high and that has to stop as well. As doctors are on a power high as well. This just has to stop. I just want to be treated as a human being in pain.
I'm being stuck looking for one too. My doctors office told me to find a place that takes my insurance and let them know then they'll give the referral.
OMG!!! You are HILARIOUS!!!
You are EXACTLY RIGHT!!!!
I can attest to that, STAY AWAY!!! Tiffany clinic is horrible in every way you can imagine
Welcome to the club, julie. The suckiest club on earth.
Cfoxy, I'm going to assume you're in Youngstown since this thread is titled as such. Is it your pcp telling you she can't get you into pain management? Was it she who prescribed the norcos? Did you just move to the area? I ask because I'm trying to figure out what happened or how you found yourself without a dr to prescribe your pain medication. Regardless of that I'd avoid tiffany pain aka mahoning pain management unless you're set up to see an actual dr. The pa there is a witch of the first degree.
Oh I have been.
My primary care referred me to a holistic pain management. Joke,, I'm bi polar... mild but as if I'm going to be around a group of people in hydro therapy!!! then my case manager referred me to another who has given me Topamax.
It has helped. I'm on 25 mg. I take them @ night. Going to ask to take dosage in the day as well.
I see it as no narcotics will be available to anyone with illnesses that aren't serious enough to them... it's a shame...
I'm extremely bitter... oh well...
She refuses to give pain meds and she said all the pain management have waiting list
Pain patch I meant - not paycheck. Stupid phones. Hi Karen, I live in Ne Ohio and am in need of a pain management Dr. I have RSD, both sciatic nerves are pinches, 5 herniated & bulging disc. Had to get a hysterectomy at 34 because of the pain. I only get 50mg of oxycodone a day and have been on the same dose for 10 yrs, so needless to say I'm tolerant to my medicine. It's been suggested that I get a morphine pump installed. My youngest daughter is 13 & I want to wait until she graduates from high school at least before I entertain that. I am not asking for anything crazy, just to up my medicine some or get a patch with it. Mmj is legal now in Ohio but being on disability (which I got approved for in 28 days because of my disease and mental illness that came with it) I'm afraid to do edibles because I'll fail a drug panel. Plus no Dr's. I know of are even giving affidavits that you qualify for it. My injury happened at work, obwc settled my claim & they also deemed me disabled, so I'm 100% disabled by government and state. I'm just tired of living in constant pain, not being the mom I know I can be or the wife I once was. If you know of any Drs that actually care about trying to make patients comfortable I'd appreciate any info. I have been seeing Dr Stanton-Hicks in Cleveland but he wants the scs which I have heard horror stories about. I use a tens unit multiple times daily on the highest setting & don't feel it. He also mentioned the pump. I'd rather find a medicine regimen that helps some than be all doped up & feel like a worse human being. I get sooo mad that we are getting punished because of the people who just wanted to feel high & now take illicit drugs, because it is messing with normal people's lives. I've lost friends and family to opiates but it's hard to have sympathy anymore. Being on Medicare and having to pay soo much to even see a Dr is crazy. Thank you for reading my rant.
I see Dr Stanton-Hicks in Cleveland he is a specialist for CRPS but in my case he started me on Percocet 10's I'm still on 10 yrs later & wanted to do a morphine pump, but I want to wait until my 13 yr old atleast graduates. He is retired and only sees certain patients but he's a wonderful man & Dr
Can somebody please tell me a name of a doctor or clinic that will give me bsck my norcos.my doctors passed of cancer now noone will help
Coco, Rob Portman is next on my list, please contact Mike DeWine as well
Julie, That's a relatively tame dose of pain medication. Your pcp can and should refer you to a pain management specialist. Ask him to do that. I'm not a medical expert but from experience, I recommend one associated with a hospital based clinic. St Elizabeth has one. Good luck to you. Don't let your dr get away with leaving you to fend for yourself.
