Akron, Canton, Youngstown Or Ohio Doctors Who Prescribe Opioids For Pain (Page 7)
UpdatedHello. I'm in severe pain. Need doctors from Youngstown Ohio Canton Akron + Cleveland + western Pa. My doctor got arrested now I'm left with no doctor. Anyone know where I could go? Please let me know. Thank you.
She refuses to give pain meds and she said all the pain management have waiting list
Oh I have been.
My primary care referred me to a holistic pain management. Joke,, I'm bi polar... mild but as if I'm going to be around a group of people in hydro therapy!!! then my case manager referred me to another who has given me Topamax.
It has helped. I'm on 25 mg. I take them @ night. Going to ask to take dosage in the day as well.
I see it as no narcotics will be available to anyone with illnesses that aren't serious enough to them... it's a shame...
I'm extremely bitter... oh well...
Cfoxy, I'm going to assume you're in Youngstown since this thread is titled as such. Is it your pcp telling you she can't get you into pain management? Was it she who prescribed the norcos? Did you just move to the area? I ask because I'm trying to figure out what happened or how you found yourself without a dr to prescribe your pain medication. Regardless of that I'd avoid tiffany pain aka mahoning pain management unless you're set up to see an actual dr. The pa there is a witch of the first degree.
Welcome to the club, julie. The suckiest club on earth.
I can attest to that, STAY AWAY!!! Tiffany clinic is horrible in every way you can imagine
OMG!!! You are HILARIOUS!!!
You are EXACTLY RIGHT!!!!
I'm being stuck looking for one too. My doctors office told me to find a place that takes my insurance and let them know then they'll give the referral.
Hi Patti & Others~ There is a pain clinic the doctor's name is Dr. Lababidi, don't see anyone else but Dr. Lababidi. Stay away from Dr. Fuad. He is a nightmare. He will basically laugh in your face. If you get Dr. Lababidi or Dr. Yang you will be okay. Doctor Fuad you will not be okay. The name of the pain clinic is Comprehensive Pain Clinic. They have about 14 offices all over the Akron Canton area. They are in Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Cleveland, Kent, Canton, Medina, green. He has multiple offices. Dr. Lababidi and Dr. Yang are excellent doctors. But stay away from a Dr, Fuad..... There are other excellent doctors in this practice as well. Great nurse practitioners and doctor's assistant.
But again stay away from Dr, Fuad. When you try to make an appointment at Comprehensive Pain Management. They will try to stick you with Dr. Fuad. Just tell them you would rather see Dr. Lababidi or Dr.Yang or basically anyone but Dr, Fuad. Maybe in a nicer way. LOL .He's awful absolutely awful. And I speak from experience with this man. And so many other people have dealt with this horrible no bedside manner human being. And he doesn't like to prescribe any narcotics that' even are going to come close to helping you.
I know I keep mentioning Dr. Fuads name over and over. Because I'm just trying to warn you not to go to him. He doesn't care about you. He just doesn't. Now that I am done with my rant. Here is Comprehensive Pain Clinics phone number.
(330-208-2720) I hope you can find help at Comprehensive. I also have another name for all of you and a phone number. I promise I won't rant on about this one as bad as I did Fuad. LOL
Western Reserve Spine and Pain~ There is just one phone number that goes into several of their offices. This number here will go in to the Kent office. Which would be by the University of Kent State of Ohio.
They only have two doctors there. And several nurse practitioners, and Doctor's assistance.... She is fabulous. Dr. Maeda. I hope I'm spelling. Dr, Maeda's name right. I'm going to give you two numbers; For Dr. Maeda, I would call (330-665-5192) first / (1-800-941-6672).
Dr. Lababidi's office has a lot of pain doctors in all of their many offices. So you may have a better chance of getting in there before Dr. Maeda's office. But if you could hold out and wait to get into Dr. Mehta's office I would personally go that route. Dr,. Maeda.
This has taken me awhile to write. I wish all of you the best. And if you wouldn't mind I would so appreciate it if you could send back an update on who you did get into and how it's working out for you. I would so appreciate that. Only takes a second. Thank you very much and have a Blessed evening. Again good luck.
In 2017, no one should suffer any longer. The new laws stink. I have been in touch with Mr. Brown and several others. This has to stop. Mr. Brown and Mr, Portman seems to really want to help all of us pain patients. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being classified an addict. Thank God I have a great doctor. And I do believe the pharmacist are almost as bad as the doctors. The way they look at you the way they look at the prescription it is just so self-degrading. This has to stop.
We will be protesting in September I hope so many will join us. I have rambled on enough. Again have an awesome weekend. And please give me an update. Wish you the best of health. I do have to say some pharmacist are definitely on a power high and that has to stop as well. As doctors are on a power high as well. This just has to stop. I just want to be treated as a human being in pain.
What is the office name or Dr name. Need to get into pain management and no one will refer me and if they do it's only to injection places which I am allergic to.
Wayne, The comment just before yours, number 128, says Comprehensive Pain Management has many offices around the northeast-ish Ohio area. He even gives phone numbers and names of a particular Dr to avoid. Do you have documentation of your allergic reaction to the injections? Has any Dr tried any type of sacral nerve block for you? I personally wouldn't let anyone stick a needle or wire or whatever into my sacral spine areas but I understand that does work for some. My pain isn't in my back specifically but don't think that didn't stop Drs from doing their injections, nerve block procedures. I hope you are able to find some relief for yourself! Good luck. Take care of yourself most importantly.
Re: Tim (# 4)
Hello! Are you talking about Dr, Gardner? I'm new to Ohio and I'm in North Canton looking for a pain management. I've been to a few and they are just rude and unhelpful.. please help me find a doctor asap! Thank you. Specifically Oxymorphone ER 40mg
Re: keikee (# 5)
I live in akron and just moved here from Philadelphia. I have to start with a primary who will prescribe my medication. I have all my records with me. Any suggestions?
Re: Keikee (# 17)
I am on 30 mg oxycodne 4 times a day. Could you please help me Keikee? I live on the Ohio, PA. state line. I was with my Dr. for 22 years and he got busted and I can't even call anybody to get my records from him. He left the state. I went to a pain management doctor in Sharon, PA. And the nurse there was shady to me and a few others I got to know there. I take my medicine religiously or I can't function, my first urine supposedly got lost by UPS, the next one came back there was no meds in my system. Which was a lie. I went to a pcp for a few months just to get my meds, in Butler County PA, who gets hired? That nurse, she was fired for bad work ethics! She quit 2 days later. I asked her why she was so shady, she said if I don't want you there you won't be. Needless to say I can't find a pain management doctor to save my life. I am 60, and can't get the shot's because within 24 hours I have a heart attack. Last one was last May and almost died. Was in ICCU for 12 days. I am begging you please for the name of a good pain management doctor in Niles, Boardman, or Warren Ohio. I am really ready to have a nervous meltdown over this. I am not unstable or nutty, I have a wonderful pcp now, but he is new and I have to find a pain management doctor ASAP. Please help!
If you live in western Pennsylvania Dr. Malosky is absolutely wonderful. Careing, really listens to your complaint and she gives you a choice of? Meds or shot's. She is in Sharon, Pa. On Conelley Boulevard across from the Sharon Police station. She is awesome!!! Look up Sharon community Health, that is her. Good luck with everything. You will love her.
Re: Cathie (# 133)
First of all, who is it that down votes all these comments even tho there's no reason to do it? It's uncalled for.
Re: Cathie (# 133)
Wow, I'm too sorry to hear about your troubles! Who was your Dr that got busted? You do realize there's this thing called "guilt by association". My Dr got in trouble then got out of it then the practice was bought out and my Dr let go. I was told that the following month I'd be on the new drs schedule but that never happened and my records were in the shuttered building. I tried all sorts of things finally contacted the medical board. They put me in touch with the Dr who said he had no idea what happened to my records. 3 years later someone suggested asking the sheriff to see about getting into the building for the records so you might want to get in touch with the sheriff. What clinic or Dr were you going to with the witch nurse? I'd try the pain clinic at st Elizabeth's. Or Trumball memorial hospital. The only other places are tiffany pain management and if you see the NP there you'll think the shady nurse was an angel and Drs pain management.
Re: Cat (# 134)
You are a wonderful person. Just sayin. Its refreshing to see positive anything.
Re: Keikee (# 135)
My doctor was busted as well but not for dispensing tons of medication. The whole practice was shut down. They deserved it.
Re: Joni (# 132)
Hi. As far as pain clinics go, there's Comprehensive Spine and Pain with Dr. Shah. He's in Akron, Ohio (the Summit Mall area). They have like 12 to 14 locations. I hope this helps you.
A great family physician would be Cynthia Delaura in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Actually, Cynthia would probably prescribe you what you need until you get to a pain doctor. She's amazing. And she cares. Good luck and please let us know.
Re: keikee (# 1)
Hello Keikee. My name is Connie. I have had a severe back injury 10 years ago, fell 30 feet and my family doctor has had me on Percocet & Vicodin, but she is no longer giving out my med. I have went to a pain management doc in canton and he said he does not give out pain meds but yet wrote me one for 10 of them. I brought it to his attention that my aunt and I went at 7am & there were 10 other people there as soon as they opened the doors. The smell of cannabis was overwhelming. I was not going back to this doctor. I have bulging discs in my back and need a knee replacement. The pain I go thru everyday is overwhelming. I have seen a surgeon to get my back fixed. He said there is no way the surgery will help. I have had shots in my back, u name it. The bones in my body are deteriorating. I can not walk no more than an hour and my back and knee are hurting so bad. The problem is, I can not find a doctor that will listen and understand how I feel with being in constant pain. I have all my CD, I had tests on my back and knee and xrays. Please let me know if u can help. Thank you.
