I have been clinically diagnosed narcoleptic. I don't have health insurance so I can't get a sleep study right now to confirm my doctors diagnosis. I got an adderall from a friend in high school one day and loved it, I wasn't falling asleep in class, I was extremely interested in my work, loved taking notes, etc. So I went to the doctor and told him I had all the symptoms of ADD and got a prescription for adderall 10mg twice daily. Two months later I said that wasn't working and got moved up to 20mg twice daily. Finished school got pregnant right away so obviously i immediately stopped taking adderall, but started again after I had my first child. Take adderall 30 in am 15 in pm have had a severe head sweating problem last few months wonder if anyone else has had this problem? ## Have you looked into having an exam and any testing done to see why this is happening? There is a chance that it's just a side effect of the medication, but there is also a possibility that it could be due to something more serious, such as it causing an elevation or your heart rate and blood pressure, which could be dangerous, so this really does need to be checked out. I cannot seem to find an explanation for my increased appetite when taking Adderall. It's suppose to be an appetite suppressant but for some reason, the higher the dosage the more the appetite. However if I eat, than the medication looses it effectiveness. ## Many medications cause the opposite of their intended effects in some people that take them, it is just something that happens. I am a nursing student who has struggled with ADD/ADHD since childhood. I am now 36 years old and in an intensive nursing program. Frankly, my symptoms are manifesting in class, they are quite embarrassing and make me self concious, besides not being able to concentrate in a class/clinicals from 7am-4pm every day. I recently was advised by my psychiatrist to go back on Adderall to manage my symptoms.
