I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

Starlight- My doctor writes the generic brand that works for me with DAW on my prescription. Maybe yours will do the same! :)

Accurate research is difficult to obtain. I am now 84, could not spell ADHD until I was diagnosed in the military. That was almost 60 years ago. As I look back at my youth the fifth grade was my enlightenment. I had all the symptoms. Many of my fellow adhd participants know what I mean. In the first four grades I was the outstanding student every year. After that year it took me six years to graduate from high school. Then I was introduced to ADDERALL. I won't bore you with my success. The adderall in those days to me was very effective. Today I sincerely believe that big pharma not only controls the ingredients, but the manufacturing process, the cost to the user and perhaps the Government folks that approve every aspect of the ADDERALL supply. I do not know the truth of those words. I do know that anyone, female or male, young or old that suffers from this malady has a difficult time coping with everyday life. Greedy, selfish human beings are the perpetrators of this crime.

Hmmm, this makes me wonder big time about my recent experiences with my TEVA that had been so trustworthy and predictable for the year I've been taking it - works well when I had a reasonable amount of sleep, barely works at all during the last day of pms and 1st day or 2 of period; and always seems to wear off quickly if I've had way too little sleep. Other than that, was great most of them. I had learned that I must not have citrus or too much vitamin c within an hour of taking, or else the effect were dramatically reduce. All manageable stuff. Usually didn't have any Vit C until later in the day anyway, but on the occasion that I only waited like an hour, it had been fine. Then last weekend, because I was home with family and having different scheduling, I was having o.j. With breakfast in the morning, but still waiting an hour to an hour and 15 mins to drink it, and noticed I lead feeling sluggish and sleepy-eyed in the afternoon. I had chalked it up to vit C too close, but now I wonder. Then my schedule was all whack last week, so no chance to get a fair read... In any case, just had my script refilled a few days ago, and to my horror, it was filled with a generic that I've never had before (core) and I've been worried to try it out because on my 4th month of adderall treatment the pharm gave me aurobindo, and it was a bad experience, and a rough month for me, and we went round about it and had an understanding, they were keeping TEVA in stock for me, so now I don't why I ended with this core, and I am dreading having to experiment, and be out of what I am used to, especially during a particularly chaotic month. Ugh.

I too have taken Teva brand Adderall for almost 10 years now, and am very self aware of the level of effectiveness I experience taking it. I too have noticed a very sharp drop in the active ingredient in Teva brand instant release 20 mg tablet, which led me in seeking answers on this site.

Well, Jay Smood, I have sensitivities to different generics whether it is naproxen or amphetamine salts. Just because I am well spoken and know the difference between "you're" and "your", or the difference between "right" and "write", doesn't mean sh*t except that I have a better grasp at written grammar than you do. I will assume that your message is directed at me since the only other long winded comments were written a few years ago. If you are so curious, and you have read my commentary than you will see that I have found the generic that works for me through my trials and tribulations. I would also like to note that being very self aware internally and externally is what brought me to find any forums in the first place. Feeling different things and noticing patterns is what prompted my curious in the first place to see if any others have experienced similar going ons. I am offended by your assumption that people with ADD cannot sit and write a paragraph without the help of stimulant medication. Not every person with ADD is going to have the same advantages or disadvantages as you personally, (the ability to sit and write out a paragraph regarding something of interest to them along with sharing what they have experienced and learned as they went along just incase it can maybe help someone else that is looking for a little guidance on their personal journey).
I am so happy for you that you are able to take different generics each month and feel that it works. You might want to discuss anger issues though with your doctor. Maybe you're on too high of a dosage, or else maybe the different dyes and junk fillers in each month's different prescription is effecting you more than you think.

Teva and Barr are the same company with different names. The real manufacturer according to an FDA site is a huge pharmaceutical from Europe that makes the adderall in North Carolina.

It's crazy to me how much problems adderall causes people! I've taken all brands except the original shire instant release!! And honestly I can say they are all really similar if your writing a complain about adderall that's very detailed and seems extremely well written and took lots of concentration I'm pretty sure your adderalls working! People with adhd have problems listening and paying attention this drug won't make you extremely motivated or give you crazy energy everyone one seeks lol the longer your on it the less effective it is or at least you think it is! What I find funny is that some people have been on this s*** for so long they forget how they feel or who they are off the drug and when they have even just a little bit of anxiety they blow up like crazy either in forums or in person! I like adderall because it feels clean all these generics will have up to 125% of the active to about 80% of the active ingredients! Ok well if you feel you got 80 take another half of a tab! For the longest time just reading these types of forums I developed a retarded mindset and way of thinking! I thought oh s*** this month corepharmas crap omg now teva/bars bad even to a point were Sandoz doesn't work for me now! But in reality it was working the whole time I just let my anxiety and others opinions f*** up my experience on adderall and even tho the drugs working because I'm awake and feel good I let my own anxiety based on others and rumors mess with my head lol forget reading these forums take your med wait a while and drink lots of water! When I first took Addies everything worked until I started reading these forums it's all in your head believe me don't get so worked up thinking it's not working and then end up writing a five page essay on how my Addies not working based on brand and hours of research you did while your on your adderall that doesn't work lmfao overcome the phsych n anxiety of addies and you'll be fine! Im venting write now while on corepharma even tho it don't lol I use a different brand every month they all work being gullible is easy on adderall and so is freaking out!.

Hi, Emmy! I like Barr IR 5mg. I find that if I don't eat or drink enough water I am prone to feeling agitated. I drink a lot of coffee too, but think if I added a caffeine pill it would overstimulate me personally and I would be very agitated. The only name brand IR is manufactured by Teva. Shire still makes XR name brand. If you scroll down to my previous comments you can find my thoughts on that. A stimulant med that is working for ADD should make you feel "calm" (even sleepy at too low of a dose). The calm though is really just the focus you receive from the dopamine and a person with ADD is so used to the racing thoughts and topics. If the dose is too high then it makes my ADD worse. That's how I can gauge my Therapuetic level. Switching manufacturers though in my experience is not great to do. It takes me about 3 weeks to readjust to the different med and then it's about time for a refill. I have had the most pleasant experiences with the Barr 5mg. It motivates me in the sense that I don't feel overwhelmed at the idea of doing something simple like going to the store (because I'm thinking so far ahead in my planning that I decide it is all too much for me to think about right now, and then I procrastinate and end up accomplishing nothing). It takes away my constant tiredness, and I am able to be more spontaneous- go with the flow. I don't even notice I am on meds, and feel amazed that this must be how normal people feel everyday. I eat regularly, and get tired at the appropriate time. That is what works for me personally!

I must agree with you on the Teva/Barr adderall. I took them the first prescription I ever had and it felt calm, clean, yet very focused. Next time my pharmacy did not have them so I went to CVS and they carry a generic that starts with an a (do not remember the name), but it felt like I was on dirty street coke, and was uncomfortable and jittery. quite frankly, I have ADHD, and I am honestly not sure how I am supposed to feel. I thought it was to help with focus and attention but also give you some extra energy for motivation. So, far I have not found that happy medium in between the two brands I have tried. I am not on a high dose but have a very high tolerance. I started on 10mg twice a day. then 20mg in morning with my diet pill (also gives energy) and 10 mg in late afternoon. I just become aggravated. I see the doctor on Nov. 2nd where he will increase to 20 mg 3 times daily. Hopefully that will help. I just need to find a generic that is consistent and works well. I am a psychology/neuro-pharmacology major so I am aware of the crap in these meds, and the inconsistencies between pharmaceutical companies, and FDA approval. It is not a placebo affect like many experts lie about and pass it off as that. I would appreciate a consistent generic if anyone is happy with one, if not i may shell out the bucks for the brand name instead.

I recently was given a script for name brand Adderall 10 MG. I went to the local Walmart, sometimes reasonable. Not this time. They charged me $328.00 for a 30 day supply. I questioned the Pharmacist, she told me the name brand was made by Teva. The label also said "GENERIC", I disputed, she got belligerent. I finally got through to the FDA site...the adderall was made by a company in North Carolina, DWS, sold to Barr, then sold to Teva. Imagine that a pharmacist lied to me cent. By law, they can add as much as 20 percent filler to generics among other ingredients. I have not decided what action to take. I do not know a living human being that would pay 55 cents for a single 10mg pill of GENERIC adderall.

Yes! I have noticed (as well) that the Teva Adderall IR tablets are not as big in proportion as you stated. I have also noted a decline in potency.

I suggest that all of you with concerns have your dr. give you a Heavy Metal test. I have tried, returned, complained and suffered as my 13yr, detoamphetamine Sulfate put out by BARR and taken over by TEVA was a counterfeit with severe side-effects. My heavy Metals test came-out High in 3 Heavy Metals including: Cadmium, Trioxide, Cephalon; and have more tests to go as I am sick from years of lies, deception and experimentation as well as harmful effects. The Stimulant Meds, [All of them], unless you're a working professional with good insurance and ADHD. Most ALL the drug manufacturers are secretly re-arranging molecules with toxic ingredients. None of the 30 "stimulants" worked, and caused 35# gain w/o reason, anger, frustration and harmful and toxic effects from synthetic ARSENICS. The higher-up Government told them several years ago to change our medications, but who would think it be w/o my knowledge and Consent. ? The name for all of these is Levo amphetamine, it's in everyone I've tried. It's creepy, look-up the Frankenstein twist and reversals and strange manipulation of these molecules, as well as keep notes on your physical responces and changes in your health, and mind.

the pink round ones say cor and than it has #136 on them mfg. by corepharma LLC///and the peach ones are round and they do have a half moon on them and # 28 mfg. by Teva.there both suppose to be 30 MG, I am a Severe level ADD and Adhd.Had it For as long as I can remember Elementary school. And I haven't started the peach ones yet, been afraid to. Been taking the pink ones for years now I can fall a sleep on them ,I take 2 and a half a day, they seem to have lost the affect on me to focuse on things I need to do I rather take a nap.

Bodini, Shire extended release capsules are the only original namebrand. Teva owns the rights to what is now known as namebrand instant release Adderall. If your bottle says generic it should also say amphetamine salts where the name is printed...
Also, thank you for your service to our country. It is a shame that someone your age and whom has also served and sacrificed should pay any money at all for prescriptions. It's very unfair. Especially considering all of the money you and your wife have probably paid into the system through out your life span!!

How can one accept Teva so called Adderall. I have been on Adderall for over 30 yrs
I went to the local Wal Mart and requested a Brand name Adderall. The container they provided was labeled Adderall. It spelled out GENERIC on the label. 60 10 mg pills were priced at $318.00. I protested' they refused to change the price. The Pharmacist said I requested a brand name. I wanted Shire or another reputable brand. I found Teva has some unfavorable users. I was diagnosed while in the military, it is difficult to get to the VA Hospital. I am 84. Every dollar means a great deal to my wife and I. The pharmacist was very rude, she even lied to me

I have reported to the manufacturer TEVA in NJ and filed a QUALITY CONTROL REPORT. TEVA lied about altering or changing the formula in any way, [TEVA bought-out BARR pharma], I was on BARR for 13 years with great success. I called both NYS Assemblyman and Senators office and was told by a Representative that "Maybe we can create legislation so that SOME PEOPLE can get PURER meds. I FAXED Ulster Co Deputy of mental health Amy McCracen and NYS Commissioner Ann Marie T. Sullivan, I was basically told she would help but the HIPPA is too complex and gave me a link to FDA. I've tried 30 plus name brand Zendeedi for both Dextroampthetamine Sulfate and Adderals and have HEAVY METAL POISONING, nothing but new high blood pressure, edma, head-aches, weight gain of 30 #s w/o reason. When I have contacted the FDA they never sent the forms. I contacted the NIH, they all say go to FDA. RESEARCH tells me the FDA already approved HEAVY METALS. Google-In TEVA and TRIOXIDE, ARSENIC, CEPHALON, CADMIUM. But begin with "just" TEVA and ARSENIC and page after page will come-up. I am finding the most powerful LAWYER I can as all parts of GOV and NON-PROFITS that are supposed to help wont because they get paid by the GOV. It's illegal for a pharmacist to examine the drug, [3 pharmacists told me], also a public law was passed that THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT IN ALL DRUGS CAN BE UP-TO 40 % less of the active ingredient. This is a crime, unethical, and deadly. You may want to get a heavy metals diagnostic as it stays in the body and does damage. I think DOCTORS and Members of Congress with ADHD get the real thing. I believe people on Medicare and Medicaid receive the FAKE AND TOXIC garbage while the Drug companies are getting rich off increasing health care costs and Killing people. The new philosophy seems to be that people with chronic illness both pain and brain [ADHD] are all ADDICTS. Except the very rich, they own the companies.

I am thinking they might have a 20 on them, not a 28. They sound like 20mg Teva instant release. Personally, the pink tabs you are talking about sound like Core Pharma OR Sandoz manufacturer and they gave me bad side effects. Everyone is different though and each person's body metabolizes things differently based on genetics, diet, ect. Originally I had posted because I discovered that there was a bad batch of Teva 10mg instant release and that is what I had at the time. I've never had a reaction from the orange Teva tabs though. It's okay to have your doctor write your script for a specific generic manufacturer though if you have bad reactions from a particular medicine by a certain manufacturer. The pharmacy will order for you if they know you use them regularly.

I was taking the round pink ones and we went to a different place now where we can get are shopping done at the same time get prescriptions filled, and didn't notice till my next dose they are round and peach color with a 28 and two half moon shapes on the back, are these better than the pink ones. The peach ones say they are by Teva, i never heard of them????

People with chronic physical illness are not drug addicts. Not everyone can take steroids, and are harmed by other non-opiate medications such as Celebrex. I am allergic to morphine. I'm tired of fighting a broken system; one that lies, misinforms, and really doesn't want certain groups to be functional. They would rather become insanely addicted to money and control without any concern for future and incurred Disabilities directly as a result from their secret poisons. We suffer enough, we don't need more pain and demeaning labels, no-less lose any opportunity to become self sustaining being taken away because of GREED and depopulation agendas. They are also putting-in radio-active additives as well

On your post you said that medications could have up-to a 20% window of active ingredients. This is untrue. Both my nurse practitioner and pharmacist say the active ingredients can be up-to 40% less !! Also, I've tried about 30 stimulants and recently the name brand Zenzeddi. ALL OF THEM ARE INAUTHENTIC. Some have both synthetic Arsenics and Anthrapod brains in them; both are HEAVY METALS. I have written to the county and state commissioners of mental health and they said that they can't do anything about misrepresented and mislabeled drugs. We are being lied-to, experimented on, and put in a potentially deadly situation and the talk about Wellness & Health is a lie. This is illegal, unethical, and an act of genocide as the FDA hasn't responded when I called-in a report. I would imagine that this is a "class" situation because I will bet that if I were a brain surgeon or professor with ADHD I would be getting the real ingredients which are cheap and "Healthier" I find it impossible to believe that I am the only one who knows the difference between Dextroampthamine and poisons. The media is doing what their told by Big Pharma/Gov. By law cashews must be labeled if they are processed in a plant that also produces peanuts due to deadly allergic reactions, yet something as important as medications for chronic illness can be totally and carelessly counterfeited, misrepresented, given immunity from death or injury due to these lies and disregard for our health, ABILITIES, and QOL
