Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 46)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

I'm having the same issues here in TX with CVS dispensed Adderall Barr, 20/B-973, not working at all, I mean zero effect.

I have the same issue!!!! I am prescribed 2 20’s a day and 1 30 in the AM and the 20 are the football ones that taste sweet. Today i took literally double of all of my doses and literally NOTHING. Went to bed at 9 with no help or sleep aid after taking a 20mg at 8pm. It’s insane and these are crap. These also make my anti anxiety mess and my pain relief meds(all prescribed) extremely difficult to take. I get SO SICK. Anyone else get sick when taking they’re normal other prescriptions in the same day as the footballs? Most Walgreens supplies these, try a pharmacy inside of a grocery store. My local grocery store carries the good generic U31’s and the round 20’s. Where do i report to the FDA?

I understand how you feel!!! I also would like to take them somewhere to see exactly what is in them!! I get my prescription filled @ Walgreens. They are orange & shaped like a football. The imprint on one side is -20- & the other side( -b- )

Thanks for your post ! I have had the same problem this brand that is orange and printed u30 I swear is sugar pills . I am a RN and I want to take them somewhere to find out exactly what they are because they ARE NOT ADDERALL! Last month I also got pink ones that didn't work either . I have told my pharmacy numerous times because I feel I get either these horrible u30 ones or the pink ones most of the time and the pharmacist doesn't seem to care .

I reported this issue to the FDA the other day. Someone posted earlier in the thread with the link. Please report them too! This is not okay. We rely on this stuff.

My 30 IR Tevas has been totally off for months. It's absolutely ridiculous.
I have to take a double dose together with coffee to function.
Teva are so shady I switched to Whilshire Dexedrine which are better but expensive.

Exact same problem with Teva 20 MG “b973” suddenly not working. Assumed bad batch filled November of 2017. Pharmacy claims nobody has had any issues. Will be filing the FDA complaint today once I get the batch information from the pharmacy.

Totally agree. I have been on and off adderall for over 10 years. In last year or 2, I have noticed the teva 20 mg (orange b973 pill) varies greatly even in the same bottle. Brief heart palpitations, gitters ect. Cant prove it but if you hold the pill in 2 fingers some are thicker around the edges than others. The pills that have the less thick cut (more sharp) around the edges seem to be the better ones. Being that i have stopped taking adderall several times, I attribute others claims of deppresion to a weaker or different dose in the slightly more rounded edge fatter pill. The fatter pill is different although labeled the same and the feeling is similar to stopping the perscription altogether, and I suspect people are taking a larger dose to compinsate to for the lack of slight euphoria that the better pill causes, leading to the gitters ect and causing lack of sleep ect. 30 minutes after I reported the issues I had, they replied & said it usually takes 2-3 consumer reports before they open a case. Perhaps you can be the 2nd report.

I’m in Los Angeles, BTW. Curious where you are? I wonder if ‘similar region’ Walgreens get their shipments from the same place.

Hi. I had the same thing to happen to me! The last prescription I got filled at Walgreen’s, which was last week has not been working & I’ve noticed I’ve had some depression since I got these filled.? How do you file a complaint with the FDA?

Mine doesn't work either. It happened suddenly -- the most recent bottle manufactured by Teva. I have absolutely no concentration ability and I feel like it might be causing depression. I asked the pharmacist (Walgreens) if there had been any complaints. Answer was "no." I filed a complaint with the FDA. Not sure that will do anything. I cannot believe I paid $$$ for sugar pills. Now I need to see my psychiatrist early. More $$.

Hi Lucy! I have been prescribed every single form and manufacturer of Adderall and there is no name brand Adderall tablets* the patent expired a cpl years ago give or take, however I have been in brand name Adderall Xr- wich was horrible. Even being brand name. Teva is the best imho. COREPHARMA has seized production of Adderall tablets and will not be making them ANYMORE. They did not pass fda standard on more than two occasions. Teva is around a lot lately. Stay away from AUROBINDO! Absolutely trash. Mylan Adderall would be my second choice. But I always get Teva.

Get Doc to write Script "Brand Necessary"

The Teva Generic sucks.

The brand from Barr (now owned by Teva) is marketedly better with little side effects and way cleaner, more effectious than anything on the street today. The only downside is cost.

Teva lately:

There has been something VERY wrong with my last two adderall refills, which were both Teva because I was too lazy to drive the extra five miles for Corepharma. By wrong, I mean extremely hard on the body and inducing acute depression.

Teva in general:

I have been prescribed adderall for 10 years, taken numerous generic brands, and Teva has consistently had the worst side effects. Blue ribbon for heart palpitations, gold medal for anxiety.

Speaking of anxiety...maybe I'm unique in that when I start adderall after a break, sometimes I get anxiety on the first day. The effect is mild when the generic is Aerobindo or Corepharma, and almost non-existent when it's Sandoz. With Teva, however, I feel as if I have been locked in a steel cage and dropped to the bottom of the ocean. Sometimes this anxiety is accompanied by intense depression. The phenomenon lasts most of the day, making it impossible to get work done. Then it mysteriously disappears (for the most part) on Day 2.

I'm sure there's a medical term for what's going on when this happens, but for convenience I nicknamed it "Anxiety Mondays" (Day 1 is usually a Monday). Catchy enough to remember, so I don't have to re-explain much when I want to warn my friends that I have a hair trigger and could explode at any minute over something inconsequential.

It is my understanding that Teva's D-Amphetamine Salt Combo (Adderall) is manufactured by Barr Laboratories.

Even though Teva bought them out, they are a subsidiary, and based on some research I found on fda.gov searching for new ANDA applications, I found a letter from the FDA to Barr approving a formula change.

Barr manufactures the product, Teva distributes it....

While I did notice a decrease in potency in the product between March - Aug of this year, my most recent refills seem more potent/efficacious now.
