Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 45)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?
Re: James (# 507)
I love Aurobindo/Aurolife. I know some posters have poo poo'd it in the past but i have been taking it for two years with no issues. I actually only need to take a half in the morning and then do quarter pieces through the day. I had an extreme panic attack/reaction to caffeine in 2012 from Barr. Has anyone noticed an intolerance to any kind of caffeine since taking adderall? I haven't had coffee since then.
I think the posters on this site have made it keenly aware to all of us that this brand does not have high standards and is of poor quality. The question then, however, is what generic brands have people tried that worked better? Anyone try Mylan?
Re: jp (# 504)
What common drug manufacturer is deemed to be high-quality in producing Adderall? Because from what I've read, it seems almost everybody hates every company.
Re: MAMADD (# 502)
I am glad you replied to my message, I just went back to my Dr last month in November, before I read this thread, and I was really beginning to worry as I was due to get my next script this month a few days ago, and I knew a friend of mine who goes to the same Dr had gotten his a week before mine were due. After reading all the negative posts I was thinking oh no everyone is saying this just happened within the last couple of months, so I was beginning to worry, his were normal and same strength and same affectiveness as what we had been used to, that made me feel better but when I got mine 3 days ago I couldn't help from having thoughts of the experience all you have had, but I am glad to say as far as where I live mine were the original Adderall and with the same affects that myself and 4 others have had with the Barr/Teva Adderall 30 mg., I live in the south and what you are saying about each state having their own way to check, and guidelines to go by for each and all medicines and I am hoping and praying for all of you who are not getting the response from your medicine that is why we all depend on for one medical purpose or the other as it would alter my way of living as it has yours, and I am 100% behind all of you and have you all on my mind. I just hope all the input everyone has put in as far as to it obviously isn't the same" animal", per say as it's supposed to be, and hoping this will help resolve the problem that we as patients and people who are depending on this medication to help us live a normal life, best wishes to you and everyone who is having the same problem gets it resolved, and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a -Better New Year and hopefully they step up and make things right again, so all of us can be normal again?
Re: James (# 503)
Maybe in the past but clearly not now as all of the replies prove.
Well, I will say this, with all its faults, Teva is better than -most- other generic Adderall currently available. Sad sentiment.
Re: Jeff (# 501)
Jeff, I am right there with you. I have been on the Adderall 30s for over ten years. I literally thought I was going crazy. This JUST HAPPENED last night. After I took the 30mg about 20-30min after I swallowed the pill I felt nauseous, I couldn't hold my head up, I literally fell asleep for an hour and a half. I took another 30mg, the same way...the same exact thing happened. I took the first one at 7:30pm. At 3:00am I woke up and felt just a small amount of the 2 that I had taken at 7:30pm and the second one at 9:00pm. I DO NOT FEEL FOCUSED AT ALL! I was questioning if they were even REAL and they came from Walgreens. After finding this forum I began researching and found the following information: FDA 888-INFO-FDA (888-463-6332). Most states have their own Consumer Coordinator and can be found at FDA.gov. You can also find the 3500 form that is mentioned in one of the other complaints. I encourage each and every one of you (us) to contact them with a verbal as well as a written complaint. There is no telling what we are consuming with the state of mind our country is in right now....It's scary!
I have been on the 30 mg Adderall and the peach colored Barr that have a Sweet taste are absolutely the only ones that I can feel, all the other generic Adderall aren't sweet they have a bitter taste and I could take 5 and be feeling nothing so everyone I know where I live think the same as myself, possibly the ones you got may have been old I was shocked when reading this, just my and people I know opinions

I pay for the Adderall Brand 30 mg - and yes, Teva produces this (but in another plant).
For 60, my insurance co-co-pay is $100 bucks. Expensive? Yes. Worth the cost? Yes.
They are excellent, smooth, no real side effects and do what they are supposed to do!
I have a medical account that is deducted from my paycheck and use this Visa to cover the cost..
Unfortunately this cost is prohibitive for many but you will get out of the "which crap generic do I get this month!" ...my Doc writes "Brand Necessary" on script.
Good luck!
Prescribed TEVA on 11/09/2017... they suck...tired as heck all the time... I was taking the Barr brand from Wal-Mart or Shire when my insurance would allow it. Insurance seems to change every f****n year. These pills are not the same --inferior ingredients for sure.
Re: Jojo (# 497)
The concept of generic drugs is a multi-billion dollar scam. Teva is one of if not the worst manufacturer of generic products. Their attempt to duplicate OxyContin was a dismal failure. When I took it I began to immediately go into withdrawals. That cost me my job. It is a shame that Teva is buying so many drug manufacturers.
Re: Rjk88 (# 479)
I am going to do the same thing and report it. Have you had any response from the FDA?
Re: JT (# 495)
Yes!! I had been taking the Aurobindo ones for months until this last script and CAN'T BELIEVE the difference btw the pink round tablets (good) and orange oval ones (terrible).
I was on 20mg IR Aurabindo (spelling?) for 10months with no problems. Then got these Barr orange footballs last month. I didn't question it at first but thank God for this post, because I thought I was going nuts or going through some Holiday related depression.
Re: SavannahJo (# 486)
Terrible bloating and in general feeling badly after taking Teva generic peach oval 20 mgs tablets. It is very helpful to hear others experiences to identify the source. It is kind of scary how much different generics can vary.
Thank you!!! I have felt terrible for the past two months, and I absolutely believe it is the Teva 20mg bid. I swear to you, I was about to make an apot with an Oncologist, because I thought my cancer was back! So tired, regardless of how must sleep I get. I have been busy with a new puppy, and missed my morning dose a couple of times. I felt so much better without it, and thought, "Wow, I feel normal again." Then took the dose after discovering that I hadn't, and within an hour I started going downhill. Just went to 3 pharmacies - the first two only have Teva - Safeway had Auro. I have read good and bad things about them, more good recently, so we shall see. FWIW - I was NOT the first person to complain to my pharmacist about Teva.
I have been taking 20mg of Aurolife/Aurobindo with the U30 on them for the past 3 years. Prior to that I was taking the Barr 973 tabs. In 2012 I had a severe reaction when I drank caffeine from the Barr brand and haven't been able to drink caffeine since.
I refilled my RX in October 2017 and was given the new Teva(who bought Barr). I was out of work for a full week with what I thought was the FLU! My body felt as though it was completely shutting down. After taking a half of the 20mg I would break out into uncontrollable sweats, had a 99.7 fever, could not keep my eyes open, and had zero energy...NONE. I found this link and did report them to the FDA. On top of that I called my Cigna Home Delivery pharmacy who sent the Teva's and within the 4 weeks that I had filled it they had pulled them from their supply and said they were back to Aurolife. I found a few old Aurolife tabs in old purses and was back to feeling myself in no time. I know everyone has different experiences with different brands but I find the Aurolife to be the best ones, there is something SEVERELY wrong with the Teva's right now and I think pharmacies know it but aren't telling us. I'm extremely nervous what was in these to make my body lose all function. PLEASE report them if you have had any issues.
Someone needs to do something. The answer is on the internet. I just don't know what we can do about it. All i will say is all adhd medications are junk. The fda and dea have teamed up to get rid of drugs for adhd. Come on, there's a reason why teva bought out and sold and stopped making it, because if they own all them they can get rid of it. They had help too from a couple more companies like core pharma. So please someone do your homework, look it up. I just don't know who to tell?
I am having the exact same issue. In fact, due to a past experience with a well known pharmacy I keep and document everything. Here's my findings so far, and suddenly my psychologist isn't being as responsive as usual and I self pay The Teva/Barr 20 mg IR peach oval shaped are imprinted with b 973 2 0, and they are pathetic. I find myself falling asleep driving to and from work, at work, and they have zero effectiveness except for an onset of depression and extreme fatigue and the desire to do nothing.
After putting some thought into this, I checked out my previous bottles and I've been getting the IR 20 mg light orange round ones with the imprint U30. I took one this am I happened to find laying in my dresser and got a better response. However over the last three months, all from CVS, have seemed to have gone downhill and I've been on the same script for nearly 9 years.I know my body and my mind, and this stuff is getting less effective and no, it isn't called tolerance.....
I take teva brand 10mg Amphetamine Salts (blue IR pills) with a good result, and have been for many years, (for narcolepsy). My old doctor used to give me 10s 4x/day. Sometimes I would take 2 at a time when driving longer distances,
or needing to avoid extra sleepiness depending on the activity I was needing to be awake for, but still never more than my prescribed 40 mg in a day. Always had good results with the blue ones. My new doctor switched it to 2 20mg pills a day, and said to split them in half. Also Teva brand, but now orange IR pills. Still 40mg a day. And they are garbage. Completely different in some way that I cannot understand. Literally feel like I'm taking a sugar pill.
I've been trying to research why, and I tried all these tricks people have given about taking my meds with Tums (to help increase absorption), and NOTHING. Exhausted and irritable. No energy, and only the crappy side effects remained (yet seeming intensified even more so). HELP? Why? When I looked this up it says the ingredients are the same, just in double the amount. Could this be right?
