Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 40) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?
Re: Erin (# 393)
Before you give up on Teva entirely, instead of taking your normal 20mg dose each day...try taking 15mg or
25mg instead of the 20mg for a few days. My experience is that with this slightest of adjustments...you can and will get to that place where your generic Adderall "works".
Re: Nick (# 397)
Absolutely agree with you. The recent Adderall wave- regardless of manufacturer- lost most of the previous "umfuff " factor..like they purposely shorted the amp portion.
We are not Dr.'s and what we post should only be taken as personal experience.
Try them all and see what works and ensure your Doc specifies it on the script!
Good luck!

Based on the complaints online, Aurobindo and Mallinkrock are the worst. I'm happy that the Aurobindo manufactured generics work for you though.
I agree!! The past 3 times Ive got my prescription filled from Walgreen's, the Adderall is definently NOT as effective as it used to be!!
Re: Lucy (# 407)
I agree! I just decided to look because I'm hearing their is a shortage and I can't refill my script this month.. But now that I read it.. LAST MONTH IT DIDN'T FEEL LIKE I WAS EVEN TAKING IT.. It was feeling like a placebo.. I was wondering why my medicine wasn't kicking in
Re: Lucy (# 408)
Brand name adderall is also manufactured by teva lol
Re: Nick (# 413)
I had my doc write a trial script for the brand so I can see if it's any better. It turns out they did more harm than good; for the two days I took it I was a walking disaster. For me the s***ty generic teva works better than their brand.
Re: Lucy (# 410)
RE: How to file a complaint (It is very easy, and takes less than five minutes)
For Lucy, or -anyone- who wishes to file a complaint with the FDA, which I encourage anyone who has experienced negative effects from Teva, simply click the below link, or google "report a drug to the FDA".
MedWatch Online Voluntary Reporting Form
I am currently trying adzenys, which seems to be working pretty well, helluva expensive though, over 300 for a months supply
Re: Jon (# 417)
"I would really like to try Sandoz."
That would be nice but unfortunately Sandoz aka Eon Labs no longer makes generic Adderall anymore. It was great while it lasted.
Re: SarahAda (# 2)
These dont work for me. They r crap. Gave me bad headache and makes me feel hungry and tired. I not only got crap for adderall, I also got crap for roxy 30 by Epic. So now I have to wait the month out and get new mfrs or take 3 roxy 30s at a time when im sup to take 1. The pharm agreed w me that they can b off by as much as 20 percent and said thats a big difference
I agree! This is ridiculous! Especially for those of us that really need this medication!!! It's the ones that abuse this medication & sell and it is the ones that are ruining what they put in this medication to help us that truly need it! Just Sayn...
Re: Lucy (# 449)
Vyvanse is only available as is, however, Dexedrine is a more immediate acting version of Vyvanse.
Vyvanse isn't techincally an extended release medication, however it does act like one. It's contents are only metabolized in our digestive system at a certain rate and so it acts as if it were an extended release substance. -This is different than adderall.
(Vyvanse is dextroamphetamine with a lysine molecule attached to it. That lysine molecule must be cleaved off of the dextroamphetamine in our digestive system before the dextroamphetamine can take effect. This happens at a certain rate in our bodies.)
(Dexedrine does not contain the lysine molecule, thus dextroamphetamine takes effect much quicker)
Note: Vyvanse is much smoother because of the gradual "come-up" and "come-down"
Teva is pretty good imo compared to other options right now imo. Aurobindo and Corepharma are ass. Maybe give it a couple more tries?
You guys should try adzenys, it seems to work for me. No up and down, just a steady plateau. It expensive though.
Re: Aurobindo Sucks (# 451)
AMEN, Corrr, Mylan, Aurobindo and last but not least actavis Adderall generics are complete trash, HORRIBLE side effects!, To the point I had to have my doctor write Teva/Barr medically necessary wich took along time due to shortages and whatnot. However these are the best hands down(TEVA) Brand Adderall is closest to the actual patented brand and at once was the patented brand; until around 2012-13 if I’m wrong correct me, but there are minimal side effects and Teva is also superior in other generics narcotic and non-narcotic. my opinion, I am not a doctor nor do I endorse any medication misuse this is intended for informational purposes only. Be safe and follow doctors orders.
Is it an octagonal white pill? I see peach by Teva when I google it & a white octagonal pill doesn't come up on my searches so far.
I believe this is what my son was given the last 2 times, same issue. Also, it makes him quite moody. The doctor tried increasing the dose to 30 mg, but with little improvement & he is very moody on it.
Re: Louise (# 458)
Mallinckrodt. Horrible. Stay far away from this knock off generic adderall
Re: Nick (# 465)
Hi
I went Vyvanse route too.
Very good med but still in patent.
Also, it's a Levo version so it's broken down via digestive. You will get hyper focus, dullness in personality and made me very irritable. No motivation as its not hitting all 4 aspects of adderall combo. In addition, it does not last all day.
With that said, it may work great for you as our brains are all wired uniquely.
Try it for a month. It may or may not be your holy Grail but nothing ventured..nothing gained.
Good luck!
Re: David (# 468)
Totally agree. I have been on and off adderall for over 10 years. In last year or 2, I have noticed the teva 20 mg (orange b973 pill) varies greatly even in the same bottle. Brief heart palpitations, gitters ect. Cant prove it but if you hold the pill in 2 fingers some are thicker around the edges than others. The pills that have the less thick cut (more sharp) around the edges seem to be the better ones. Being that i have stopped taking adderall several times, I attribute others claims of deppresion to a weaker or different dose in the slightly more rounded edge fatter pill. The fatter pill is different although labeled the same and the feeling is similar to stopping the perscription altogether, and I suspect people are taking a larger dose to compinsate to for the lack of slight euphoria that the better pill causes, leading to the gitters ect and causing lack of sleep ect. Hope this helps.
