I took adderall 30mg XR once in june and will take one more in sept (just one time in sept). It helps me focus when i take practice exams for my career (exam days are about 8 hours). I have read that after 5 days it will be pretty much gone - is this true? Will the quantity i have taken show up on a hair drug test? Will the small amount i have taken show up on a drug test (urine) if i have waited 5 or more days after taking it to take the urine test?

No it will not. You must take it four days in a row before your test. Get on that bro

U r not very smart...I took adderrall and it DID show up 2 days later so whoever is reading these posts don't listen to this person. it most def shows up!

I just realized that I havent felt the same ad I did on my previous refill of my adderell xr 20 mg, this refill in aug has been horrible I have gained weight, eating sweets last like there going out of style, so I decided today to open oneof the capsules and it is freakin sugat, its not the typical round white balls that are in the capsules, no wonder I was falling asleeep after taking them... I am do upset, I was diagnosed in jan 2013 with add and havr not had a problem since this last refill. Called the pharmacy and she is researching it for me. Anyone else ever have this happen. And I have been crashing like I ate a pound of sugar!

I drug test individuals everyday and know A LOT about this topic. Adderall most definitely can and will show up in drug screens. BUT...most places do not use testing panels that include the substance. It is a more expensive panel of testing to do inorder to have it show for certain substances, including adderall. Do know this...it can show positive (we get them all the time) but most standard employment screens don't use the larger panels/options which would show if you were taking it. Don't be misled to believe it can't show up because that is inaccurate and people who have never been caught are just guessing. I do it for a living so I do know. Be honest. If you have tested for the disorder and prescribed the medication, show your RX. No reason to hide anything if you have the disorder. If you do not, or there is not some other condition that warrants it, then my question to you is...Why are you on it to begin with? It is highly addictive. Why take the risk?

No, It takes 7-10 days for your hair to grow long enough for it to be detected. Don't listen to any of the doosh's trying to scare you.

Im prescribed 30mg of Adderall once a day not the XR the regular tablets and have submitted 3 drug tests and all 3 tests keep coming up negative for amphetamines. I don't understand why it's not showing up I take my medication everyday. Can anyone answer my question???

My daughter is on 30mg twice a day of Adderall, yet when she is drug tested either by UA or hair NOTHING at all shows up. How is that? We know that she is abusing the drug but we are having a difficult time proving it. Her spouse is also on 30 mg - three times a day and his test is also always negative. I would think that something would show up??

even someone whos been taking a high dose ie above 80mg a day for yrs there out of urine 3 days max

you might have been given the sugar pill. this is often substituted for the real thing. this is called the placebo effect. typically the sugar pill ranges from 10-20 mg. If it is an oval shaped pill it is much more likely to be the placebo. however, if you have the Xr capsules that have individual balls of dextro-amohetamine, it is not a sugar pill

You are so wrong dude...I got a few addoral from and friend to study for a test. I took them got popped for a drug screen the next week and it showed up. The lab called me and asked if I had a script I said no and I was fired that aftetnoon. IT DOEA SHOW UP!""

I infrequently take Adderall, but for the past week and a half I have been taking 10mg most days because I was studying for the GRE. I was just drug tested (urine sample) in order to volunteer at a local hospital, and they called to tell me the test was positive for Adderall. So, YES, even small amounts of Adderall might show up on a drug test.

Adderall, WILL MOST DEFINITELY SHOW UP ON A DRUG TEST. I AM A CHEMIST AND KNOW THIS FOR SURE. It is not the adderall itself that shows up, but rather its' metabolite, which is similar to the metabolite of meth-amphetamines in chemical structure. However, once you test positive, a more scientific and accurate analysis can and will be completed; which will identify the exact metabolite. If it is Adderall that is detected it will be identified rather than the meth or crank metabolite. Although they are similar in chemical structure, they do differ in the metabolites they produce which is what drug tests detect. In summary, with a broad spectrum drug test YES Adderall WILL test positive, however notify the drug testing facility and they will complete a more accurate analysis and they will be able to detect the exact metabolite, which differentiates between meth/crank verse Adderall.

swims gerbil is perscribed adderall, and every month he gets DT. its one of the few drugs in/not in his system that actually DOES show up correctly 99% of the time.

SWIM has almost no faith in the "instant test" anymore. But FYI, for swim, it usually takes about 12 hours to show up, and 3-5 days to clear out swim's system.

I take adderall 30mgs twice a dayas prescribed, but i havent taken any in a few weeks,i havent had any and i have less than a quarter put back maybe a little less than a quarter or a 30mg. I need to know that it will show up on my drug screen. How do i go about this and do i have enough??? Its a urinalisis so i am pretty sure bc it doesnt show levels....any advice please???? Thanku!

All of these responses have been helpful, so thank you all for that. I am just specifically asking... If I took 30mg Adderall on Sunday, another 10mg Adderall on Monday, NONE on Tuesday, and Today is Wednesday, the day of my drug test.. Will the Adderall show up on my drug test?
