I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

I'm in the Jacksonville and have been having trouble all week. When you guys say Lane and Normandy area, can you be more specific? Do you mean Walgreens, etc.? I'm getting so discouraged running around trying to get my prescription fillled. :(

Wow you've been on this for "60 yrs" and you're still only needing 20mg a day? Wow, that much wouldn't touch me at all, especially after many yrs, i've been taking 70mg a day after 6 yrs.

Why don'tcha try 'medsadvocates' prescription assistance program and you can get it for free, along with many other meds if needed! For up yo a year if you're approved (financially). it's Vyvance but works just as great! :) then try the "smaller" pharmacies, they seem to be able to get it no problem! Good luck!

When I go to the pharmacy to get my 30 day supply of 10 mg brand Adderall, (thats two a day) the pharmacist informs me the new price is $328.00. (with discount) . I was diagnosed with ADHD at age 23 while in the military. I am now 84. I still take Adderall. I am satisfied with my personal life. My wife and I have a great family. (no ADHD) Without Adderall there is no possibility I could enjoy the life I have today. I can afford $380.00 for the Adderall. It is a crime that today most folks cannot. When one does get the medication. We don't know the exact ingredients. If that's not a crime John Dillenger is my hero..

Yes, I am also having this problem. I take 40 mg of the XR daily, today is the second day without. I do have about 30 10 mg pills but that won't last long at all. I don't understand the shortage. If pharma companies are trying to get the ADD patients using a new drug that's one thing. When they mess with the daily lives of of those of us who need this to stay awake to work, that's messed up. I would like to know how long they expect this to last? I've never not had my meds so I'm not sure if I'll have any type of withdrawal or not...

Oooh wow! you sure you're ADD an not BIPOLAR? aha! an uuuh yeah, i know all about "my condition" thank you. I've also tried giving some good advice on where to go to ensure getting your meds, it's up to those who really want it to try it. so i believe i am free to be here, to try n help, to comment or try lightening the mood if i so wish to. however, what i meant, in joking was, that everyone who couldn't get their meds (any kind), would then expect a task force, and that would just never happen. maybe you missed my "lmao"? ((it meant "laughing my ass off" as in, joking)). so, lighten up! ('8; even when i miss my meds i'm not a b**** lol. happy hunting! (:

Apparently some folks do not understand the inability to get Adderall. If a person has an extreme ADHD problem, or perhaps a level of ADHD that creates daily situations that cannot be managed without the medication. They either do not have ADHD or they are ignorant of the misery that can occur without proper treatment. I personally know how life is without Adderall. Surely I would not wish that on anyone. If one does not know all off the ramifications of the illness perhaps they should not comment on it.

~ jUst wondering :) is there a point to your reply /comment? lol if Vyvance only comes in xr, so what? it works the same (if not better! for me), it works longer an almost just as fast. actually, it's aleady in your system so really there is no wait lol, an, it's definately worth the free price! c'8;
~ and as far as a TASK FORCE just for Adderall??? C'mOn!! really? lmao!

ya'll GOTTA START going to the smaller mOm n pOp pharmacies then if you're having that much trouble every month! they're awesome! they give you more personalized attention, know you by name an they'll go out of their way for you. i have had NO PROBLEMS here in SWFL. i'm tellin ya, either Costco mail order or the smaller pharmacies an guarantee you'd get your meds every month, withOUT jumping hoops! i call mine a day before an he orders it with no issues at all.

I have no idea how many Americans are suffering from the fact that they cannot obtain an Adderal pill that they can be sure contains the correct dosage and ingredients the script calls for. Apparently no one at the upper levels of the FDA is capable of abiding by their sworn duties to protect the health of the American people. The number of suffering folks might be in the millions. If a majority of Americans would write their Congressman or Senator with a plea to address this terrible situation. They could solve the problem. This country has many problems. If the government appointed an Adderall task force, a great many people, Including many children could enjoy a better life. THAT IS WHAT AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT

Vvaynce is an xr. Adderall comes in xr and instant. Prices are up, demand is high and supply continues to go down. Regulations by government or combo with FDA being influenced by bribes.

~ been a while. how's everyone been doing getting their meds? i see a few still having issues? ya'll "need to read my comments in April"! I GOT AN UPDATE ~ PRETTY GOOD NEWS FOR THOSE UNINSURED!!!

~ i found this website "MED ADVOCATES", an they have thousands of medications both discounted and "FREE"! now, they don't support the Adderall brand name, however, this "VyVance" replacement\generic works JUST AS GOOD (( if not better, actually! )) and IT IS FREE, monthly for up to a year!

~ they send you a card to give the pharm., an i've had NO problems at all. i've been getting a 30qty script of 70mg er caps - FREEEE!! what an awesome program this is for ((the neeeedyyyy, aahaha!)), people who are unemployed or don't have insurance etc....

ok, well i hope this can help someone! ((along with my April's comments!)) :D

Yes adder all 20 mg seems to be unavailable in most pharmacies need to ask your duct or to give you 2 of 10 s instead

Hi Cindee, Respectfully, Adderall isn't a narcotic. Adderall IS a controlled substance. Narcotics are controlled substances. That's where their similarities begin and end. Respectfully of course.

Lane Ave Pharmacy will order your Adderall for you but the new rule is you have to have other non-narcotic prescriptions to fill there. They also stopped filling early. Only fills narcotics on 30th day

Having same problem with filling my 30mg generic Adderall Rx as of this week in Palm Beach County, FL. No problem for past six months, then cannot find it anywhere although the itis not listed on the FDA's latest drugshortage list.

I have found that the Lane Avenue Pharmacy has been stocked for the last two months. I transferred all my other meds there too. It is easy to get to, they take my insurance and they are quick. Lane and Normandy area
