I have chronic neck and back pain due to injury. My cervical and lumber disks are also deteriorating. The only medicine that proves to be effective is synap forte' prescribed by my orthopeadic surgeon. Is there a possibility that contuned use of the medication could lead to hair loss? I am 39 yeras old ## That isn't listed as a common side effect for any of the ingredients, which are Dextropropoxyphene, Acetaminophen, Caffeine and Diphenhydramine. However, you should be made aware the medications containing Dextropropoxyphene and it's relatives have been pulled from the market in most countries, due to the extreme risk they cause of cardiac dangers. What other medications have you tried? ## Thank you Verwon for your response. Since it has been pulled of the market i am using...

Does this pill make you drowsy? I took 2 of them, just now and I want that drowsy feeling. ## The tablet with the M 360 marking contains 750mgs of Acetaminophen and 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone, the active ingredients in Vicodin, this is a narcotic analgesic. And yes, it can cause drowsiness as a side effect, but taking it just to feel that, especially doubling up on them is not a safe idea. This is often how drug abuse starts. If you are having trouble sleeping, you should speak to your doctor about proper solutions for that. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm can't buy medicean online now ## Efferalgan just contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen, so an equivalent would be another medication that contains it, such as Extra Strength Tylenol, or the generic/store brands. Are there any questions or comments?

After surgery today, I have taken 3 generic 5-325 mg, 1 every 4 hours as presribed. I did find that a side effect may be itchiness, which I have to an extreme, as the night went on & addit'l doses. But I also can't sleep, even though a side effect is drowsiness! It's 4:30 PST so no pharmacy is open. Can anyone help??? ## It can have the opposite effect in some people, though it is rare. This was posted a few days ago, so have you contacted your doctor by now? This just may not be the right medication for you to use.

110 on one side and on the other side is a upside down V and a lower case p in the middle of it, its not a circle im sure of it ## What color is this pill you are describing? From what I could gather, the logo on this pill is actually meant to be an A, with a P inside it; it's the logo for Advanced Pharma; identifying this pill as Cephadyn (acetaminophen 650 mg + butalbital 50 mg). This is referenced from another thread on this forum, which you can view in the link below: NOTE: check out post #6 within that thread for pill identification, and/or consider posting in it for more feedback from other users with the same pill. Further research on my part also suggests that the manufacturer could be "Atley Pharmaceuticals". I hope this helps!

I have been advised buta-proxyvon for a chronic shoulder pain (right) I have been having for the last few months. I have taken two tablets a day for the last 4 days. Today I am having extreme stomach discomfort as if from acidity. Is this related. . ## Buta-Proxyvon contains Acetaminophen, Dextropropoxyphene and Diclofenac and yes, it may cause the type of problem you are experiencing, because the Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and they are very well known to cause stomach irritation and excess stomach acid. ON THE PILL IS WATSON 349, NOT357, WHAT THE DIFFERENCE ## Watson 349 is identified as Acetaminophen (500mg) + hydrocodone bitartrate (5mg). There is no pill by Watson marked 357, but there is a pill manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, that makes M357; which is identified as Acetaminophen (500mg) + hydrocodone bitartrate (5mg) The primary noticable differences between these two pills are the different manufacturers as well as each pill containing different inactive ingredients or fillers. Inactive ingredients can effect how efficiently the drug is absorbed into your system and therefore determine how effective it might be over another similar pill with different inactive ingredients. I hope this information helps! ## They are both the same medication, in the same dosage, but th...

What is this drug used for and is it addicting? ## You DO NOT want to use this one! B-Tracet-Ex unless you are planning to use it just once or twice. I was prescribed this last November here in Mexico by a doctor who allegedly DID NOT know this would cause addiction. B-Tracet-Ex is made of Tramadol, Paracetamol and Vitamins B1 and B2 but Tramadol is HIGHLY addictive and the side effects are terrible! Horrible constipation, insomnia, cramps, goose bumps, heart burn and of course if you dont take it once you go addicted to it, cold turkey syndrome (withdrawal syndrome) please use something else for severe pain... the first time I used this one I was sooo high I felt so good and euphoric but two days later the good feelings were gone and I did not know the doctor was getting me hooked on t...

Blue oval shaped pill with L347 on one side and nothing on the other side ## This is most likely an over the counter sleeping aide, but I can't find a definitive ID on it in the drug databases. Usually, when the imprint starts with an L then it is an over the counter type of Acetaminophen or Tylenol. Also, the PM may indicate that it is Tylenol PM (Acetaminophen with Diphenhydramine); or Benadryl. Hopefully someone else on here who has it in their possession can post the drug details.

Is it possible to accidentally overdose on but/apap/cf50-325-40 tab? ## Certainly; too much of anything can be harmful. You can even die from drinking too much water. APAP (Acetaminophen) can cause severe liver damage if taken in large quantities over a given period of time. And this isn't even considered overdosing. It's a shame that they are "just now" informing patients to lower their dose of APAP after all these years, due to people having liver problems and other health issues from this drug. I hope that helps shed some light on how dangerous these drugs can be, before you even begin to overdose. In my opinion, 325mg is definitely a "safer" dose than what is considered to be harmful to your body, so as long as you follow the dosing schedule and administratio...

unsure what this medication is. Found 10 of them in my home. orange/peach oval pill "SS" marking ## The closest match I found has same the imprint, but is purple and oval, rather than being peach/orange and oval. This purple oval pill has been identified as a pain medication known as Zerlor; containing Acetaminophen 712.8 mg + Caffeine 60 mg + Dihydrocodeine 32 mg. If this does not match your pill, odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. Additionally, I would suggest taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. And as a last resort, you could ask them about getting the pills ingredients lab tested and brought back to you. I ...
