Add And Adderall (Page 2) (Top voted first)

Is there anyone else who has had experience with the above medication? I need input please.

I have been on adderall IR (instant release) 30mg along with 6mg of Xanax a day. It is the best combo for someone who has a severe case of adhd and anxiety. I had 3 family members pass in the same day. So that’s how the Xanax got discovered. But here is the thing, adderall has some nasty side effects if ur body isn’t used to it.

I have heard this over many years that the stimulant causes either depression or Bi-polar 1 or 2. IMHO maybe the stimulants have helped him deal with his depression.

I understand what it is like to go to school and just daze out of the window. When your grades from school get worse, then worse; depression seems likely.

Also it is difficult for many people to accept that a "drug" might make your brain work better. this can lead to feeling unfit for the "real world". Many people consider the adderall to be "cheating", believe me when he gets to playing sports he will not be hearing this for the first time. So maybe this is good?

This may sound crazy but I believe that stimulants can cause some people to feel less anxiety. It is like being addicted to nicotine .Yes nicotine is a stimulant but many if not most people say that smoking cigarettes makes them feel more relaxed.

You say the stimulant medication seemed to help; maybe trying another one. Also with depression it is not uncommon to use an anti-depressant.

IMHO he probably needs someone that he can trust and talk to about these issues. I do not know if schools still provide counseling but that would be my first avenue. School culture is something that needs close observation, just like depression.

Very strong. Beginning to be a recreational drug in many communities. legal speed, it's being refered to. And I've heard the long term effects of controlled usage doesn't look too good.
