Why do they mix these two medications? ## These are not mixed. I believe you're referring to amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, which are the ingredients in Adderall and its generics. They are combined, because it has been found that the combinations works better for some people than just one or the other. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I take five and a half 30 milligram adderall and for probation on a 14 panel drug test it keeps showing up as methamphetamine. Why? ## Wow. Did you mean to say you take 5 1/2 adderrals a DAY? First, no Dr would ever prescribe that amount, and no pharmacy would ever fill that amount. Second, if you are taking that much, you are either not sleeping, ever, or you are taking something heavy duty to sleep. Not to mention the damage you are doing to your body, you will probably be dead in the next year.

Been taking adderall 20mg 4x a day since 1997 and it still works perfect for me. My doctor retired and the replacement immediately tried to cut my dosage down to 1 20mg tab a day. After 20 yrs of taking 80mgs a day I am failing miserably at work, on the brink of being fired. I need to know any doctors in the dfw area that will prescribe 80mgs and quick. I even called cathal grant and they told me he wouldn't even do 80mgs. I know there are people who take as much if not more than I do so what doctors are you using? Please help.

Since high school I have suffered from anxiety and some depression. I am 25 now. My anxiety is triggered by most social interactions. In high school I would hide in the bathroom because i couldn't face going to class or go to the library during lunch sometimes so I wouldn't have to interact socially. I dropped out of college because my anxiety kept me from going to class and giving presentations or just because I was afraid to be in class with so many strangers. Would like to know what color the beads inside the capsule look like? ## @Nikki, Just curious, why is the color of the beads so important if you're obtaining your Adderall legally with a valid prescription? If you have to question the bead color in order to determine if it's real then I think you should probably throw it away. I don't know about the 25mg bead color, but the 20mg generic amphetamine + detroamphetamine extended release blue capsule from Actavis contains white beads. I've also heard about Adderall capsules containing peach colored beads as well as combinations of orange and white together. If you have one why not open it up to find out?

My boyfriend has been on vyvanse for 8 months. Then his new doctor took him off of them and put him on a depression med. All he wants to do is sleep. He doesn't clean or anything any more. He said he wants his life back but he doesn't know what to say to his doctor to get them back. ## Hello, Ana! How is your boyfriend doing? How long ago was the change to his medications made? He could be experiencing withdrawal effects from stopping the Vyvanse, since it's a stimulant, as well as side effects from starting the antidepressant. He may just need to wait a few weeks for his body to adjust, unless his doctor feels otherwise. Other symptoms, as listed by the FDA, may include dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.

I am in the hospital currently for lung probs. The problem is I came up positive for methamphetamine. I take a multitude of meds..i have heard ranitidine (zantac) can cause you to fail a urine analysis. Is this true? Please help me with any information whatsoever. I took a 20 mg of adderall yesterday and just found out I will be having a hair test in the next 2 weeks. Will it show up that quickly? ## What happened?? Did you pass your test? ## must not have passed the test and is in jail and cannot reply.

If i used methamphetamines over the week end, about a quater gram, and i had to take a UA the following friday for parole, will my UA come back clean? ## I would like to ask them if they passed the test I am currently dealing with the same issue

I just started immediate release amphetamine salts (Actavis, half-moon, #26) on tablet. 20 mg (3X daily). Reaction (allergy) unsure? Gastric bypass patients NEED IR. Is Zenzedi immediate release? And, what is the equivalent dosage to equal 60 mg amphetamine salts? My reaction left foot red, pain, stiff, swollen twice its size (for week and half). Since August when still being prescribed Vyvanse XR med lasted only four hours, and ought not to be taking because of Rouen GB procedure-- was I thought causing gout-like symptoms, but I also gained 60 pounds due to other sleep/anxiety meds-- gout made sense but occurred in both ankles and feet. Got prescription filled at a CVS and I was given the Actavis blue capsule 3060 (previously i had Teva and before I had the brand). The Actavis medicine was not only inefficient but It actually made me sick... I got a day-long irritating and unpleasant motion sickness like feeling. At least I know that this only happens once, next time sure I will ask. ## Hello, Soyla! How are you? What do you mean by saying that it was inefficient? This is a time released formulation, so you shouldn't feel some definitive effect of it all at once. ## It does not work because the active ingredient in the Activis brand genetic doesn't have the same active ingredient as Adderal. It's a brand new company in this game. Says so on both their website and the FDAs.

I was taking adderral and have switched to Methylin ER 10 mg (insurance changed and had to change) and I would like to know how long it stays in your system? With Adderall it worked quickly and I knew how much to take... with this new med I am not sure how the time release works, I just know that I have had 20 mg. today and I am still yawning... ## You shouldn't use more than your doctor has prescribed. If you are still having a problem with the dosage, you should contact them. Methylin contains Methylphenidate and for the ER tablets, the half-life, which is the point where it reaches 50% of its availability in the body is about 3 to 4 hours. The time for a medication to completely clear the body is usually about 5 to 6 half-lives, so you'd be looking at around 15 to 24 hours. T...

I have a good friend that takes Cocerta 36.5mg two daily for his ADHD. He has been subjected to a random drug test for 2 months in a row. Both tests have come back for methamphetamines, and I know he is NOT using Meth.This is the first time he has had to test in like 3 years. He also is on Wellbutrin and Abilify. He is on probation, and has to appear in court now. This false positive test could ruin his chance to remain on probation if the courts use these tests. Is there any options? ## Both Concerta (Methylphenidate) and Bupropion (Wellbutrin) are known to cause false positives for Amphetamines. I am prescribed 50mg Vyvanse that I take daily incentives 2009. I dropped my last four pills down the sink and when my dr. tests me I won't have any in my system. I took one 54mg concerta before my appointment. Will this show up on the test the same as having taken my Vyvanse? I really don't need to lose my prescription as I really need this medication to function.
