How Long Does Methylin Er 10 Mg Stay In Your System

I was taking adderral and have switched to Methylin ER 10 mg (insurance changed and had to change) and I would like to know how long it stays in your system? With Adderall it worked quickly and I knew how much to take... with this new med I am not sure how the time release works, I just know that I have had 20 mg. today and I am still yawning...

You shouldn't use more than your doctor has prescribed. If you are still having a problem with the dosage, you should contact them.

Methylin contains Methylphenidate and for the ER tablets, the half-life, which is the point where it reaches 50% of its availability in the body is about 3 to 4 hours. The time for a medication to completely clear the body is usually about 5 to 6 half-lives, so you'd be looking at around 15 to 24 hours.

This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, nervousness and insomnia.

i have been switched to Daytrana patches, and i dont get the same effect unless i stick them in my mouth and let it dissolve, but still not as strong as adderol, does the daytrana patch take long to leave the system, they deliver 20 mg over 9 hours if put on the skin, but the total mg is 55, so if i stick them in my mouth i get all mg at around the same time, i just wanna make sure im gonna be clean by the next coulple of weeks
