shaped like Concerta with the same little hole in the end, but has 3 colored stripes, gray, white and pink ## I found nitro tablets in my sons room..what is this drug? and what do you do with it ## This is a concerta tablet, A small pink end followed by white band and then brown, it is concerta with the outside coating peeled off. Go grab one of the concerta and peel off the redish (sometimes white) coating and see what is underneath. Hope this helped.

If so, the blue pill in description is Strattera (40 mg), a generic for Atomoxetine that is used for the treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I found a little white pill with an M in a square around it & break mark on the other side with a 20. What is this? ## I located the pill in description to be a 20 mg Methylin (Methylphenidate) tablet. My son has been on the 18mg of Concerta for about 3 years. Just this past month when we went to pick up the prescription at the pharmacy, the pills look like a different shape. They still have the correct alza ... on them. The reason I am asking is that my son has not been himself, acting out, etc. since taking these. I am not sure if anyone else has had the same issue. P.S. got them at a major pharmacy chain. When I called the pharmacist he said they are carefully monitored.

Why do young peopole take it. My son has started taking this Captagon pill, but i do not see him studying more. He has lost 40 kg in 4 months, before he started trying this pill. He is acting very strangs. Suddenly he is very restless, and violent. ## Captagon contains the active ingredient Fenethylline, which is metabolized in the body to Amphetamine and Theophylline, therefore it works like the Amphetamine stimulants that are normally used to treat conditions such as ADHD and Narcolepsy. In that respect, it also has abuse potential. What you are describing are possible side effects of using it and if he is getting violent, then he really should stop using it. Did a doctor prescribe this for him? Has his doctor been consulted about this, yet?

I have narcolepsy and have been on 20mg of Methylin (generic Ritalin) 3 times a day for some time now. I didn't seem as effective as it was at first, so I did some research and asked my Dr about the amphetamine class of meds. He prescribed Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine). I was awake but not motivated to actually do anything. I needed a nap everyday. I asked to go back on the Ritalin. He agreed but seemed surprised that Methylin worked better for me than dextroamphetamine. Shortly after that I asked for my dose to be increased. Remember, I'm on 20mg 3 times a day. I asked to increase it to 4 times a day (just in the office - I didn't have an appointment at the time. Am I going to have a really difficult time finding a Dr that will make this increase? I have ms and not sure why the meds are prescribed for me. ## The mixed Amphetamine salts, which would commonly be referred to as Adderall, is a stimulant, it is normally used to treat conditions such as ADHD and narcolepsy. One of its side effects is that, as a stimulant, it can raised your blood pressure. The Provigil is another medication that is commonly used to treat Narcolepsy and fatigue syndromes. Thus, I can only conclude that your doctor probably wants to bring your BP up to normal levels and to help you with the fatigue you are experiencing from the MS. IS there anything else I can help you with? ## Anyone taking amphetamine salts for ms fatigue?

can you bang them ## I take this drug 10 Mg, twice daily to concentrate better. I does not always seem to work. Maybe I am taking to many medicines. Sometimes the drug makes me a very mean person. Other times, no affect. ## I am taking this medication 4 times a day to help me concentrate and it has worked miracles for me, but now mu insuirance is questioning weather or not I need it, who are they to stick their nose into my busuiness, if my doctor feels that i need this and I am reporting that it helps me out eminsly then what??I am going on my 3rd day with out it and i am about to go nuts, my mind is racing and I can't focus on anything. I don;t know what to do.

i have been taking cylert for years. my daughter also has been on it for years. now i have been told they are taking it off the market. we have tried most of the other meds for add what is the closest match ## i have also been on cylert for years. no one told me it was going off market or why. i found out by not being able to refill. i drive a truck for a living and need to be on my toes. i will tell ya i am now on strattera and i take caffine with it. it is the only way it will work for me. i wont take the ones that are speed. and dont like many of the others. so far no problems. ## i also took cylert for years. they canceled it due to concerns regarding liver toxicity (didn't you have to get blood tests?) my ten year old son is on 15mg retolin twice a day. he is moody and aggressive and just plain sulky is that the effect of the retolin or adhd ## Ritalin contains the active ingredient Methylphenidate, it is used to treat ADHD and Narcolepsy, it is a stimulant. this site is not medical professionals, so it is hard to say, it could be either one causing these symptoms. I'm taking Adderall xl and I am loosing a significant amount of hair. I've suffered from ADD for many years. Physicians won't prescribe Ritalin (which helped me tremendously in my adolescent years). I ordered what was supposed to be Adderall on line. What I received seems to have the opposite effect - no improvenment in my symptoms. It says it contains Dextroamphetamine 7.5%, Amp[hetimine 7.5%, and amphetamine Sulfate 7.5% along with a couple other ingredients such as accharate amphetimine. It almost makes me feel tired - it states Total Amphetamine = 18.8%. Any ideas if these are correct for Adderall or is it all a scam. ## Those are the active ingredients in Adderall, however, I cannot tell you what the tablets contain. Is there any marking on them? it is called PMS-Methylphenidate. AKA Ritalin. DO NOT use as an aspirin, nor give to someone who never had this before. It is somewhat of a strong dosage, 20mg ## Since it is not Aspirin, it would not be effective for pain, fever or headache. Methylphenidate is a stimulant used to treat conditions such as ADHD or Narcolepsy. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, anorexia and insomnia. I found white capsules, with an M on the top half and 8960 / 5 mg on the bottom half. All the lettering is in black. MY SON STARTED TAKING THIS MEDICATION A WEEK AGO AN STARTED HAVING STRANGE SIDE EFFECTS A TWITCH WHEN HE GOES TO TALK / EXPRESS HIM SELF ,AN DONT KNO WHAT TO DO. ## Anytime you are concerned about unusual side effects, you should contact a doctor or pharmacist immediately. They could be the sign of a serious reaction. even if they they aren't, he may have been put on too high of a dosage or this may not be the correct medication for him to use. That said, the twitching can be a normal side effect to this medication, since it is a stimulant. He may also experience nausea, insomnia and weight loss. It should taper off, after a few weeks, as his body adjusts to the medication, however, if it doesn't or if it gets worse, you should contact his doctor immediately. Read more on the me...
