In Canada, Ritalin SR 20mg is yellow with a small black symbol-In the US, they are white but I did not look at the symbols on the pills.I require 6omg in the morning to wake up and I think that I got 2 white pills mixed up. I took 3 that had an M symbol on one side which I now thing was methadone which I am weaning myself off of.l am down from 50mg a day to 25mg. I am not sure how many mg I took (3 white with the M symbol) but I cannot wake up and I feel sick.l want to know if the other white ones are the ritalin which have a V symbol on one side and a 48/10 on the pill, the / being the line in the middle. Hi, I found two pills in my sons room and would like to know their identity. White with 36 and N on opposite side. Grey with 27 and N on opposite side. I searched all the databases and found nothing. Metabolization takes place mostly in the liver. The average elimination half-life for d-amphetamine is 10 hours in adults. what is the washout period when changing from concerta to dexedrine ## zero, I switched and one day i was on concerta the next I was dexedrine. No bad effects they are two different stimulants. I did, however, learn that methylphenidate (ritalin/concerta) are safer in overall neural functioning then amphetamines (dexedrine and adderal). If they are taken together, in smaller safe doses the methylphenidate can actually prevent some of the damage caused to the neurons by the amphetamine

My son was placed on Concerta 72 mg & nuzak 20 mg. He feels his heart racing & breathing increased after taking this combination. Could this combination of medication really be safe. ## Actually there can be a possibly dangerous interaction between the two medications. The Methylphenidate in the Concerta can cause increased levels of the SSRI Fluoxetine that's in the Nuzak and that can cause the type of adverse effects that he's experiencing. Today I went to probation to submit to my twice weekly urinalysis test. They told me that I have been coming up positive for methamphetamine the last few tests. They said they let it slide due to the fact that I take Adderall. Is this common in an instant drug test? Will I be vindicated in the send away lab test? No, I have never used meth- ## Yes, it is very common on those types of tests, when you take Adderall for it to cause a false positive for Methamphetamine. I really don't think you have anything to worry about, as it seems they are well aware of it and are not penalizing your for it in any way. Learn more Adderall drug details here. I started on vyvanse 3 months ago...20mg, then 30, no thinking I may need to go up again, but I have restless leg syndrome, and increased dosages seem to aggravate this. Are there other ADD meds that might be better for me? This is my first medication...I'm over 50. ## All of the ADD medications that are available are various forms of stimulants, so it is likely that they may all aggravate such a condition. I was born with manic-depression as was my mother, her grandmother, my brother and my daughter. The ONLY medication that gets me out of bed and on my feet and out the front door is amphetemine salts. I do not have a thyroid gland, have chronic fatigue syndrome and have never had energy which made even drying myself off with a towel a chore because the towel was so darn heavy. I am 55 years old. When I do not take amphetemine salts, within one day I have withdrawn from the world as we know it. I am a high school teacher and I cannot miss day after day due to depression so debilitating that I'm afraid to get out of bed. Will 35 Mgs Of Adderral Show Up Above The Limits In A Hair Test? I Think It Was Taken Less Than 7 Days Ago. Having been under 7 days, I do have my doubts that you will pass the hair test, but you never know! Do you have any extra hair follicles set aside for the test? Lol, I'm just joking. I cannot cope anymore. ## Uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body, is listed as a side effect of Modalert (Modafinil), among a long list of other adverse effects. You may wish to take a look at this side effect list to know what you may be dealing with here: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000196/#a602016-sideEffects It sounds to me like the side effects are outweighing any possible benefits from taking the medication. Have you consulted a certified medical doctor about these unpleasant side effects? If not, I would strongly recommend that you do, or in other cases, simply try to taper off the medication slowly. My son had SEVERE ADHD to the point of hitting teachers when he was 4 in preschool, so he was tried on many meds and finally placed him on 36 mg of Concerta and 1mg of Tenex for any left over aggression. When he was in 1st grade the Concerta was moved up to 54mg. Now he is almost 12 and he says he doesn't feel "normal" when he takes them (sometimes we skip weekends). What is the safest way to stop? ## Since it does contain Methylphenidate, which is a psychostimulant, there can be some problems and rebound effects, if you completely discontinue it abruptly.
