They say I tested pos for methamphetamine, that was just impossible. I feel like they are trying to get rid of me. I wasn't told to go to the Lab down the hall, I was told to go to the bathroom down the hall. They said my insurance wasn't covered wanted me to change it to DSHS I had to sign a waiver, yet they didn't have a problem with it on my last appt. This is the 4th Dr. I have seen at this clinic because their 'chronic pain' drs keep leaving. All this dr talked about while waiting (til the lab was closed) was illigal drugs. HOW DO I FIGHT THIS? This dr said No dr would give me pain pills in this state. He also made it sound like I have been taking my pills too long and they were too strong. I don't know them all, but asthma medications and allergy medications are common instigators. NOTE: The occurrence of false-positives are solely dependent upon the accuracy of the drug test and not in one bit due to the drug in and of itself. Will A Test Come Back Positive For Both Amp And Mamp If Person In On Meth ## In many cases it can really depend on the quality of the test being used, because drugs that are closely related such as these have been known to cause false positives for each other on the less expensive, non-certified tests. I have been prescibed 20 mg of the d-amphetamine salt combo 3 times a day. I need to wean myself from this drug as quickly as possible. Can I do it without a doctor's help by cutting each dose in half? ## Hi Susie, Yes it can be done without a doctor's help if you are confident in your own ability. Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I take Xanax.05 when needed usually maybe twice a week for anxiety and 7.5 lortab 3. times a day for major pain from arthritis in my back. Was wondering if you can be prescribed amphetamine for add at the same time. Started new job and having a hard time focusing and remembering everytime at once. My Rx was for Amphetamine salts combo 5mg. & my pill bottle simply says amphetamine salt 5mg. Are these the same? I've been taking 5mg twice a day for 3 days now, not really noticing much ## I know that Adderall contains the salt combo (Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine), but I too, wasn't aware of the differences between the two. Ive been taking adderall for over four years now and today out of the blue I get a call to come in Monday for a pill count and urine. I never had to do this before is this a new policy everywhere or am I being targeted? I have no problem going in but it screws up my work day now I have to figure out how to leave eArly. I recently was put on this medication ( amphetamine salts er 10mg) for a sleeping issue. I just wanted to know if there are any sexual side effects (ex: unable to get an erection.) I think I recieved wrong prescription. It is a white capsule with a tiny half moon and 200 imprinted in black on both sides of capsule. What is it? ## ritalin ## Yes, this seems to be the Actavis logo and they do have one similar to this that contains 20mgs of Methylphenidate, the active ingredient in Ritalin, in an extended release formulation. What medication were you supposed to receive? ## They are supposed to make the person picking them up aware of any changes whatsoever. As long as this wasn't the first time filling it. So for them to not say anything and give you those, they can get in a lot of s***. Those are completely different than other adhd meds. Especially when you are told its 20mg and says 200? Anyone would be nervous about taking them.

Today was my first day on 30mg of Vyvanse. I am 17 years old and have been struggling with attention and my ability to work within time constraints for my entire life. I have generally regular eating habits. This morning, I took the Vyvanse right before eating toast. For the rest of the day until about 6pm, the idea of putting food in my mouth seemed awful. I wonder if anyone can help or advise me , I am in my late thirtys and I have been on Vyvanse for three weeks now. Dam this pill works. I now know I have ADD and ADHD. I tried this pill after doubting to take it and I can now concentrate. I'm not scatty or talking excessively. I'm calm and collected its the Indian equivalent of Strattera but a lot cheaper. ## Do you have any other information on it, such as the exact ingredients? I take the amphetamin salts combo tablet and on occation I have had problems getting this filled because of the shortage there seems to be with this particular medication. My question is why is it that sometimes I get a round pink tablet and other times I get an oval orange tablet? I don't think that the pink tabs work as well as the orange. When looking up the imprint code in the databases, it needs to be able to tell you what the active ingredient is in them, what the dosage is and who the manufacturer is. ciba ## Sorry, you have not provided enough information. This drug is available in both name brand and generic versions. There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! The size, color, shape and imprint will all vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only relevant regulations from the FDA state that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes, but these will even differ by manufacturer and strength of the med. In order to identify your pill for you and tell you what it is, you need to provide the complete imprint from the pill, all letters, numbers and/or symbols that may be on it, as well as the color and shape. Will albuteral show as amphetamine in s drug screen I was given it at the hospital for pneumonia. Then my drug screen showed meth. I had also used Vicks sinex nasal decongestant as well as the vapor cream. ## I've actually read about Albuterol causing another patient a false-positive for methamphetamine, so I'm led to believe that this drug is the culprit here. However, one could also argue that their faulty drug testing equipment is the culprit, since it can't always detect what you really took. Have you asked your doctor or company about getting re-tested? I hope you can get this sorted out. These false reports just put too much stress on patients who are simply taking their medications as prescribed.
