5mg Vs 10mg Oxycodone

I have been on 5mg oxycodone for about 4 years. My doc switched me to the 10mg oxycodone tablet. I took one 10mg tab and NOTHING. It was as if I swallowed air. 4 hours later I took another one 10mg tab...Again NOTHING. I don't understand this. When I was on 5mg, I took 2 of them and it worked.

I live in Indiana and the laws here are the 2nd most strict laws in the country. So he did this so he could give me the same amount.

My medical history is this: I have severe fibromyalgia, RA, severe restless arm/leg syndrome, sjogrens syndrome, interstitial cystitis, sarcoidosis (it's been in remission for about 10 years but had done damage to my lungs, submandibular glands, and lymph nodes), meralgia paresthesia on my right thigh, occipitial neuralgia, hasimotto's syndrome, sciatica, raynaud's syndrome, severe chronic costochondritis, chronic kidney stones (over 100 now), chronic bladder infections, chronic pancreatitis, chronic colitis, hip pain, back pain, chronic low vitamin D (on 50,000 units a day for the rest of my life), GERD, prinzmetal angina, carpal tunnel, and a fatty liver (I'm over weight), and being checked for cervical stenosis (I get severe neck pain where I can't even move my neck, and I get sick ever 3 to 4 weeks with either a cold or G.I. virus and then when I'm sick I get yeast infections, depression, had inactive TB 22 years ago, chronic pneumonia, and my memory is getting worse and worse everyday. I had to send myself a text message with all this information. Half the time I can't remember my 33 tear old daughter's name.

I'm on oxycodone, gabapentin, ropinirole, baclofen, nexium, plaquenil, synthroid, vitamin D2, imdur, cymbalta, fioricet, acyclovir, zofran, and diflucan.

I have 2 questions: the first is why does two 5mg work and one 10mg is as if I swallowed air?

The 2nd is could anyone explain to me why I have all these illnesses? I had mono as a teenager and severe allergies, and my mom had almost all of the same illnesses. I also was in the army and received all at the same time anthrax vaccine (the first round that wasn't approved by the CDC and FDA), yellow fever, typhoid, plague, hep A and B, rabies (I was a veterinary technician), flu, adenovirus, MMR, meningitis, polio, tetanus, cholera, smallpox, and Igg. Side note: I was very sick 30 minutes later, with vomiting, diarrhea, severe migraine, and my muscles were in severe pain and I couldn't walk. 4 months later my joints were grotesquely swollen and hot. I couldn't walk or roll over in bed.

Unfortunately, it is likely that no one will ever be able to tell you why you have all these illnesses. If your mother also had most of them, it might just be a genetic issue.

As to the Oxycodone, what are the markings on the tablets you are taking? Can you please post back with this additional information? It will enable me to research more details on it for you.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
