2012 Oxycodone 30mg Shortage In Florida (Page 49)

My spouse, who is in severe, chronic pain, has been a customer of Walgreens for many years. We live in Pinellas County, Florida. Everyday this week we have driven from Walgreen's to Walgreen's trying to fill his prescription for Roxicodone 30mg, to no avail. I cannot get any help from his regular pharmacy. I know that it's dangerous for them to tell a total stranger which store has them in stock, but I don't understand since they know him, why they can't call around or give us any assistance. I am at a total loss as to what to do & would appreciate any information that you could provide. It is so hard to see him in so much pain. Thank you.

I have taken off work gwo days in a row. I live in pinellas county but my doctor is in tampa. I can hardly walk and am so sick. No one will fill my methadones either. Does anyone have any advice on where to go

I don't understand why you ppl are still trying to get roxis dude its over I relized that 3 months ago when I drove around all day I got it changed to dialaudid there better anyway I couldn't go w.o my meds for days an days just take that s*** back....to dr an get it changed the days of getting roxis is over c.v.s and Walgreens are nothing but liers I he both chains go outta business all they do is lie lie lie,w.e they feel like at the time iss the answer ul get...

Where do you live? I have been told by CVS in Orlando, FL that no CVS pharmacy in Florida gets Oxycodone anymore. Did CVS start getting Oxycodone again?

941btown, so grateful for info, although I am completely discouraged at this point. My husband is in route there now, after spending the last 4 hrs trying other pharmacies. I hate for my children to see me this way. I'm in so much pain. I so hope this pans out and he calls me with good news, but I remain doubtful. Thank u again! I will let u know if it is successful.

Michelle, thank u so much for sharing the info about the "Walgreens in Maun", However, I reside in Sarasota. CAN ANYONE PLEASE SUGGEST WHERE I CAN GO TO FILL MY OXYCODONE 30 mg in SARASOTA??? I feel like dying. :(

I totally understand I have had all same problems as you! I have same story as anyone here! But Walgreens is not helping no more! I was using them for past 7mons. through mail order till two mons. ago they decided to stop unless u had right insurance took them 3 weeks to get my scripts back and they wrote on them filled scratched that out! Of course I could not fill after that! You will have much more luck at CVS now which it was other way around! Do not know why u are attacking me?? They are not the only chain pharmacy in fl.! I maybe if we all did they would start filling them if everyone stopped buying anything from them! you have Publix Cvs Target Walmart sams club costco Riteaid mom and pops! It was a suggestion! But I wish u luck! But u should not take what we are all going through and take it out on me when I have offered to help anyone who lives in Naples even though I cant fill here!

I live in Btown, Dr. Is in Bradenton but they filled mine in Srq. If the law is you have to be in your town to fill then how was Sarasota allowed to fill mine.? I think that they are making these rules up as they go along. Whatever is convenient for them at the time. It's total BS. I hate when u don't know what the "policy" is gonna be from one day to the next!!

Hi Alexander....care to share what town u r in?I will run out of methadone in 3 days been out of oxy 30 since June 11.....feel like I am dying but what is even worse is the shame we r all made to feel because we need these meds and have legit illness,dr,and script.Walgreens is absolutely the worst....I couldnt go on the other day after 6 hrs in St Pete cause it just hurt my darn feelings to be treated like this....Being ashamed for being in pain? WTF????

Was just at Dr. yest. seems the DEa has shut down the sales of oxycodone by one of the manufacturers here in Fl. So by doing that they have limited the amounts the state has by these 2 manufacturers they audited, and ultimately shut down the manufactering of oxycodone for them.Now the state of Fl. is in a panic to get these in from other states, that limits those states supplies too.My Dr. is in Sarasota and they gave me the scoop. if you have a prob getting this, you must go back to Dr. for a new sript. chnage to a diff med for now. good luck to all of you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
