I am having pain in the heel part of my left leg. I get feel the pain after I get up from the sitting (or sleeping) posture and start walking the pain starts. The pain subsides after walking some distance, but does not disappear. If I wait in queue or in malls for my turn say for paying the bill) I feel the pain. It is said that the pain is due to growth of a small bone in the heel. I don't want surgery. I am about 68 years old-5'3'' tall and 56 kg.

I had a wisdom tooth pulled in 2/25 and have had several bone spikes clipped off from sore on gum. Now in September 2025 no more spikes but chin still sore. My prolia is due now. What to do? ## Prolia is a medicine that helps your bones, but one of the risks is something called osteonecrosis of the jaw (basically, jawbone healing problems). Because of that, dentists and doctors usually like you to wait until your mouth is fully healed before getting your next Prolia shot. Since you had your wisdom tooth pulled back in February and those bone spurs clipped a few times, the good news is that by September most of the healing is probably done. The fact that your gum spikes are gone is a good sign. The soreness in your chin might just be the nerves and tissue still calming down - that can ta...

I have this going on plus Gurd. Has anyone been approved for laser surgery for the bone spurs. Meds help but have reduced my quality of life. I've been looking at Benfotiamine to see if it helps. Most info is about diabetic related neoropathy. Not sure about the cause of mine. Need to get some regular sleep. Need some input. Thanks ## Hello, Patricia! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. Neuropathy is really neuropathy, it's all nerve damage, so even studies on diabetic neuropathy and what helps it may be relevant to your situation and could help you. Most of the B vitamins are believed to help with it and those who suffer from nerve pain are often advised to take them. But you do have to be careful not to overdo it, since there can be complications from taki...

I have major djd, severe arthritis, bone spurs that are growing near my spinal cord, a bulging disc in l 3 and i already had surgery on 5 discs in my neck last august. i need to keep working til i can get disability. i was taking oxycontin and percocet for breakthrough pain plus soma. i need help asap. ## Anyone who is an established patient of a physician and taking any type of pain medication for verifiable injurys shouldn't have any trouble having a new pcp physician continue to write your scripts, unless you have been taking narcotic pain medication stronger than 10mg. Then any physician can verify your script history thru there D.E.A. database, those that are taking heavier pain medications like oxy-15mg. Thru 160mg oxycontin, will need to see a pain management doctor. However i...

I read on this website about an old kidney remedy that might be able to help my ankles, calf and feet swelling. Please, I don’t know what to do! The calf has black marks that my doctor thinks are clots, as my fingernail touched one after a shower and blood spurted out of it; and then after I cleaned it up, light pink fluid ran down my leg. The OTC med had 2 initials before the rest of the name! ## I am sorry, I don't know what medication you are asking about. Can anyone else that's familiar with it chime in? As to your issue, if your doctor thinks you are having clots, or some other issue, it would be best to follow their instructions for further testing, and take whatever medication they recommend. The FDA warns that not doing so could cause a clot to break loose, which m...

My heels are very painful. When I sit down and get up again, I almost cannot walk. So bad is it. I had a bleeding ulcer some months ago so what can I use that won't harm the stomach again? ## Hello, Fred! How are you feeling? Sorry about the pain that you're in. You may have heel spurs and, if that is the case, they will most likely need to be removed by a doctor. It happens when small pieces of bone from the heel of your foot break off. Many will eventually work their way out on their own, but it is very long and agonizing process. Have you consulted a doctor? Simple x-rays will reveal if that is the problem and then your doctor can help you find a solution. ## Hi Verwon Thank you for the reply! These heels are still very painful. I went to see a doctor last week and he gave me...

When does it stop working as well as an appetite suppressant and why does your weight loss slow down? ## Hello, Lauren! How are you? Our bodies eventually get used to any medication that we take regularly for a long period of time, which causes them to stop working as well for us. There's no precise time frame that can be given though, because it can vary from person to person. Regardless of the method used to lose weight, there is almost always a plateau that you hit, at some point. Your body also gets used to whatever you're doing to spur it, such as a medication, or exercise and weight loss can slow down, unless you change something to ramp it back up, such as changing your exercise routine, your diet, or the medication that you're taking. The FDA lists Qysmia's typic...

light grey oval r599 ## I need to know what this pill is. It has one letter and 3 numbers. R599. Thank you VERY much :) ## This is a 400mg Lodine. It is a non-narcotic anti-inflammatory drug used for pain. It it like a prescription strength Aleve, IBProphen, Naproxen, etc. It is most commonly prescribed to patients with osteoarthritis, bone spurs, and people who have had orthopedic surgery. i.e. Back surgery, hip replacements, knee replacements, or any broken bones that have to be pinned and/or plated. It is an NSAID pain reliever, but again a non-narcotic anti-inflammatory drug. The grey coating is a time release coating, so therefore the pill should not be cut or crushed. ## That is correct, the active ingredient is 400mgs of Etodolac, it is a generic for Lodine. NDC: 00228-2599 It i...

I just started taking Cymbalta three days ago for bone spurs and fibromyalgia. I have been tired, drowsy and lethargic. How long will it take before these symptoms disappear? Help Vawilled ## Hello, Nessi! How are you? No, Cymbalta is an antidepressant, but it can cause those types of side effects and it may take 4 to 5 weeks for them to improve, as your body gets used to the medication. You may also experience dry mouth and weight gain, as reported by the FDA. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is this legal to cut the medication down this much at one time? I have been on 6 10/500 mg hydrocodone/Lortab for well over a year now for fibromyalgia, scoliosis, arthritis, bulging disc, bone spurs, etc. The clinic dr. decided that he prefers the patients there (all/any that take more than 4) be cut down by 2 a day, now making it 4 daily. Shouldn't he lower the dose slowly just as he slowly raised the dose? There has been no substitute given. I already take ibuprofen too. Now I'm feeling more pain and I HAVE TO WORK. Is this legal? Morale? Is there anything I can do about this? Please help. I live in Indiana ## I know how you feel, but unfortunatly the DEA is breathing down doctors necks because of the very few that are running pill mills. I am not a doctor or a lawyer, but I ...

In early 2007 I had surgery to remove two discs in my neck and to have a procedure done to open up my spinal canal due to severe stenosis and they cut two vertebrae open and inserted bone grafts to keep them spread open. They also inserted two plates and four screws to keep everything aligned. The surgery helped a little for a year or so but I still had constant pain but in 2012 the pain again became so intense and would move up into my head and down my spine that most days I could not get out of bed let alone go to work. When I was able to go to work the pain was so bad that I could not focus on anything else and my performance suffered greatly. I also have advanced arthritis spurs in my neck and down my spine and this is at times is crippling to me. They tried to remove some of the sp...

They are horrible. Purdue pharma put too much filler and other stuff in them. They can pass right through your body in your stool, which happened to me. They can make you sick. They take way too long to work. I get about 6 hours and that's just calming my pain down. The docs will tell you they're 12 hour pain relief which is BULL, and the 80mg say 12 hours - Now how can that be? I've been through 6 failed lower back operations, damaged nerves, scar tissue on nerves, 5 deteriorated discs in my upper back, 3 severe multiple bone spurs sticking in my nerves and 2 bulging discs in my neck, and need both knees replaced. And my doc only wants me to take 2 a day. I only get 3 hours of sleep. I'm up at 1am or 2:30am and then take another dose at 9 or 10 am. I CANNOT go through t...

Is there anything out there that can be used that could be similar too lortab/hydrcodone ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? There are actually quite a few other options available, including other narcotic alone, or others that are also combined with Acetaminophen. What specific problem do you have with the Lortab? That would help enable someone to answer your question. ## Hi, my name is Tricia, with the new laws that are about to be in effect I'm looking for an alternative rx that is comparable to Hydrocodone 10/325... I've been taking the same rx, same dosage as well, since 2000.. I have chronic neck & back & hand(s) pain, I also have arthritis throughout my spine with degenerative arthritis in my neck and lower Lumbar, as well as bone spurs on my neck & lower (compress...

I've been taking Linzess about every other day for 2 months. Does anyone else experience some runny spurts than nothing like you're still constipated, like you're not completely relieved? I'm always so cramped up because I never seem to be complete. I try not to even eat because it seems it would just pack up more. :-( ## I had that happen after a hemmrroidectomy and the reason why the watery stool was squirting out was because of an impaction. Mine was at the rectal opening but some can have it further up. It can cause serious problems and a lot of people end up in the hospital from the impactions. I did oil enemas to break up the impaction. Once it is soft enough to remove you can use a glove and try and sweep the stuck stool out. Once the impaction was gone I was able...

My heal on my left foot has been hurting for about 6 months. At times it is fine for awhile and then it starts hurting again. Some days I can't hardly walk on it. Do you have any suggestions what it could be. ## Hello, Marie! How are you? You might have developed a heel spur, it's a type of calcium deposit that occurs on the underside of the heel bone of your foot. That type of pain that comes and goes is often associated with them. Have you consulted your doctor? They can be detected with a simple x-ray and then treatment options can vary, depending on the cause. Sometimes it's a simple as relieving the pain and wearing better shoes for awhile.

My best friend, who introduced me to her surgeon that performed my 360 fusion, was recently forced to return to PM due to pain from numerous back problems including but not limited to Bone spurs, bulging discs, curvature of the spine and more..., Her PM clinic is about an hour away from mine. Anyhow, he had her on Oxycodone 15 MG IR 4 times a day and he recently added Oxycontin 30mg ER twice a day due to her not having much relief from just the 15 mg pills. It made all the difference in her level of pain and I had my friend back :) When she went to fill at the pharmacy (CVS) she has always used due to them being next door to the clinic, she was told she would have to go to a pharmacy in her county (next exit down) as could no longer fill for her out of county (we are in TN and first we ...

...if the acetaminophen in Percocet enhances its action? I just had surgery for bone spurs and was given oxy, 5mgs. For some reason I thought that oxy would be stronger--I think I heard it somewhere--but now that just seems wrong. For that matter, why prescribe Percocet, given the liver implications, and instead just give people oxy and tell them they may carefully and occasionally supplement it with NSAIDS? ## Hello, Tristan! How are you? Yes, the Acetaminophen potentiates the action of the Oxycodone, for some people. It doesn't work for everyone. Oxycodone by itself works better for some people and, if you look at the FDA information on it, you'll see that it is also available in higher doses that are in different formations, including a time released one for better pain contr...

Do you know where we can get this cream? I have back pain caused by arthritis and spurs in the spine. I also have knee pain from replaced knee surgery several years ago. ## This combination is actually available in several of the Icy Hot products, which are available over the counter in most stores as both this name brand and as generic formulations.
