Just started 1 week ago, I have anxiety and trouble sleeping, when will this go away after 24 years of smoking. ## There's really no precise time frame that anyone can give you, a lot of it depends on you, both your body and how much you mentally stress over it. Learn more Habitrol details here. The best suggestions I can give you are to distract yourself and try some gum or mints. Have you joined a stop smoking support group? That often makes it much easier.

Took imipramine for 4 weeks am I going to experience withdrawal symptoms ## Hello, Bubbie! How are you? Yes, you may experience some withdrawal effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including fever, chills, diarrhea, rebound depression, headache, diarrhea and anxiety. Why did you stop taking it?

Can you please tell me what the withdrawals are like after stopping Trika? My mother has recently stopped taking them and is getting very depressed. ## Hello, Navgan! How are you? This medication is listed as containing the active ingredient Alprazolam and yes, it can cause rebound depression, rebound anxiety and the risk of seizures, upon sudden withdrawal, as listed by the FDA. How long was she taking them and what dosage was she taking? ## My dad is addicted to Trika 0.5mg and the doses are getting increased. Can you please tell me if it is possible to come out of this addiction with or without withdrawal symptoms? If yes, how should we proceed? We have been consulting so many doctors but it's been of no use. Please help me with some solution.

I've taken belviq twice a day for 3 months (i think- one bottle worth). I didn't refill the RX and now, 4 days later I'm very dizzy and heart is racing. Is this withdrawal from Belviq? I can't find anything online about it. ## I have headaches and exhausted after 4 days without belviq. I too have been taking for 3 months 2 x a day. ## Sorry to hear about what you both are having to go through as a result of taking Belviq. I truly hope things are getting better day by day as the medication continues to leave your body... While I don't know if Belviq has been known to cause withdrawals or not, NIH.gov does list the following symptoms as side effects of Belviq (Lorcaserin): dizziness headaches excessive tiredness anxiety (which in my experience, can cause the heart to r...

Took cymgen 60mg for over a year, and went to another doc cause I had manic episodes randomly. I went cold turkey from smoking after 6 years, alcohol and from cymgen. My head is really sore and first few days the pain in the head and vertigo was really bad. Its been a week now and those symptoms have nearly gone. But now I suffer from insomnia and bad dreams. Struggle to fall asleep, then when I do I get woken up by a nightmare. So its not fun. But you just gotta brave it out, the human body is stronger than withdrawal from drugs.

My doctor took me off Plavix two weeks ago, and I`ve noticed the bruise`s on my forearm`s starting itching alot!! Also started getting little blisters, before the itching. Is this normal? & what should I put on it until I see my doctor in 5more day`s? ## Plavix contains Clopidogrel, which is an antiplatelet agent used to help prevent clotting, so it does have an effect on circulation, so this could be a reaction to being taken off of it suddenly, because your body has to readjust to not having the medication, now. Withdrawal symptoms can manifest in many different ways. What you are describing is basically a type of hives, which means the histamine receptors in your body are probably being oversensitive, right now. There are many topical allergy products on the market that you can p...

I need to cease my intake of Trapex 1 mg. I have been regularly taking 0.5 mg at night as prescribed by my doctor. However, for the past four days, I've reduced it to 0.25 mg based on my doctor's advice. This has resulted in me feeling anxious and also experiencing sleep interruptions. Will these symptoms eventually pass? ## Trapex contains the active ingredient Lorazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine and it is normal to experience such issues, when you lower the dosage, or stop taking it. They will eventually wear off, but it may take a few weeks, before your body adjusts and things are back to normal. How soon will you be stopping it completely? ## I have been on Trpex 1mg for 17 years and I've been experiencing numerous issues. I'm feeling extremely weak, and it has hind...

Hello: I have just started Vimpat. I took one half pill of the 50mg and one full 50mg. I want to not take this medication anymore because I have bad chest pains/ side pains/ headaches and feel like a zombie. I go to the on Tuesday. If I do not take anymore until than will there be withdraws symptoms. P.S. The only seizure I have taken since August 2014. ## Hello, Jessica! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're having. If you had chest pain, yes you do need to stop taking this medication and contact your doctor. You could be having a bad reaction to it and will most likely need to try something else. No, there likely won't be any withdrawal symptoms, since you only took a few doses. What other medications have you tried?

anyone having problems after stopping harvoni? ## Hello, Kat! How are you? What type of symptoms are you experiencing? I'm not seeing anything about it causing withdrawal symptoms, but it is a relatively new drug. Its typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, diarrhea, headache and weakness. Withdrawal effects would usually be virtually opposite, so may include constipation, dizziness and drowsiness. How long were you on it? ## Hello, I also am having withdrawel feelings, I am constantly tired, I feel fatiqued, slight head ache, have a sick feeling in my stomach I completed the the Harvoni treatment, I pretty much had these same feelings on the Harvoni. Would withdrawal symptoms affect me after forgetting to take the medication for 4 days? OR Would I be getting withdrawal symptoms from dropping dosages in my lexapro? I have been on it for roughly 6 months and 3 weeks ago the dr told me to drop down to 10mg which I cut my 20's in half but I am constantly forgetting. I haven't taken them for 4 days until I remembered last night. I feel mentally and emotionally fine. I don't cry more then usual and circumstances have changed for me recently and I felt as though I no longer need anti depressants. The last few weeks I've had some health issues similar to the side effects of starting lexapro but they only lasted about a week. but in the last week or so I've had a lot of other things that are beginning to concern me: -Incr...

I stopped taking Lipitor, 40 mg daily, a week ago and am now experiencing some dizziness and my equilibrium seems effected. Are these effects to be expected? I'm currently waiting for my refill through express-scripts , but have yet to receive it. I am a 90 year old male and have been on Lipitor for approx. 4 years. ## Yes, some withdrawal effects can occur anytime you suddenly stop taking something that you have been on for a long period of time, because your body gets used to having the medication. You may also experience some nausea and diarrhea. Are there any other questions? ## I stopped atorvastatin a month ago cause of side effects to muscle pain which i still havei now get headaches and nausea is this normal. ## The symptoms you've listed are contraindications aka negati...

Taking myself off of Prestiq. Very dizzy and I have thrown up several times. However, I just want to go cold turkey and want to know how long these withdrawal symptoms will last? ## IT can vary from person to person and depends on the dosage, as well as how long you were taking it. It could range anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, give or take. Have you discussed this with your doctor? Have you tried anything to help with nausea and vomiting?

Anyone had numbness, tingling, of left forehead, along with soaring BP and in next few minutes very low? Feeling so sick :-( ## Those can all be withdrawal effects, according to the FDA, if you stop taking it abruptly, rather than tapering it slowly. You may also experience headache, diarrhea and elevated heart rate. However, there is a risk of these symptoms become dangerous and causing a heart attack or stroke, so you should see your doctor immediately. Are you on any other medications?

I've been on 60mg of Cymgen for almost three years. It is been used to treat fibromyalgia. I came off it cold turkey 5 weeks ago with my doctor's consent. It was causing dangerously high levels of blood pressure. Two weeks in my blood pressure is back to the normal range. However it has been 5 weeks of hell wth the withdrawal symptoms and I don't see an end I sight. Every time I see a glimmer of hope I come crashing down again. I went to work for a total of three days in January, and for only a few hours at that! I'm at my wits end. I've tried herbal products o help ease the symptoms as well as Motillium and Mittal for the extreme nausea, nothing works. Is there an end in sight?? ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Have you consulted your doctor, again? Generally, such sym...

I have been on depakote for epilepsy since about 2004. For the past 3 years I was taking 250mg everyday and sometimes every other day. I recently did an EEG and it came out normal. I started weaning of the meds to just every 5 days and recently every week. I notice on about the 6th or 7th day I feel light headed, anxiety, a bit dizziness that comes and goes. I also get sensitive to sounds. I will take 250 mg when I feel that and the symptoms go away. Haven't had a seizure since 2009. Anybody have advice or have felt the same symptoms after that time? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Withdrawal effects like that are normal, when you are tapering off, or stopping such a medication, according to the NIH. There may also be a risk of seizures, so you do need to be very careful and taper it v...

I'm trying to wean myself off the Fentanyl patch. I went from 75 micro-gms to 50 now I'm on 25. Having a problem and not sure it is related to the decrease in the med. It's been 20 days on the 25 micro-gm and I'm going crazy. I need to keep rocking, moving in any way b/c my body is very restless. Is this a symptom of withdrawal and what do I do? I cannot take it any more. ## Yes, that can be caused by withdrawal, you probably jumped down in dosage a little too fast. This med is very, very strong, 80 times stronger than Morphine and it has a half-life of 17 hours, so that means once you take off the patch, it takes 17 hours until it has dwindled to 50% off the full dose in your body, then it slows and actually takes 3 or 4 days before it is all out of your system. So if y...

a friend takes Klonopin - I think abuses it. Twice he has not taken it for a day and he loses his ability to talk. Slurred speech - as soon as he takes it again - he is fine. How can he get off this drug? He also abuses oxycodone - I am trying to help, but I am way over my head. I need help, he needs help. We don't have monet for private treatment, he refuses to admit himself. Does anyone out there have some suggestions? I am in Florida. ## Get into a drug program. Talk to a doctor about the implications to his system if you stop useing. (It can be fatal if not done with care) Join NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS. If you care about stopping the abuse of drugs- you must STOP all mild altering substances to get a lifestyle that is not dependent on anything. Your friend can physically not be depen...

Hi, I am taking Lamictal, 150 mg, for years and years, along with an antidepressant - at the moment Lexapro - and for anxiety I take 1.5 mg of Klonopin. My diagnosis is dysthymia - constant low level depression - and I am struggling with it for years and it doesn't go away. I was my happiest on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds only. That's why I'm planning on asking my shrink to stop the Lamictal. Have any of you experienced withdrawal symptoms and how do they manifest? Thank you! ## You will most likely have to taper off it, due to the fact that while it does help some people with mental health problems, it is actually an anticonvulsant, so stopping it abruptly could put you at risk of experiencing seizures, according to FDA warnings. Other withdrawals effects may incl...
