Will Phentermine Show Up In A Drug Test

How long do I need to discontinue taking my Rx Phentermine 30mg capsules before a pre employment drug screen to ensure I do NOT test positive from them? Even though its a valid Rx, the employer will NOT allow any positive results. ## Did you ever figure it out? I stopped taking it a week ago and am not sure if it will show up on a drug test.

I have been taking phentermine for a while and I don't have a prescription. I always assumed it was fake since it doesn't work good but I have a drug test tomorrow. so I want to know if I should tell the drug testing place I am taking it and show them the bottle or not tell them anything at all? Do they check the drs and or pharmacy to make sure you have a prescription for it? Also I tested positive for it 3 weeks ago at my pain management dr positive for amphetamines, but then the lab they sent my test to analyze it said it was negative but on the lab report it does show some numbers by the amphetamine but I don't know how to read this report...I also got hired years ago at the us postal service while taking this with no prescription and I don't think I told them I was ...

I've been taking Phentermine, the first month I had half a pill then I skipped a month. And then half a pill the following month. I took a whole pill last month and went to my Dr who did a compliance drug screening to make sure I was taking the meds. I had lost 20 pounds as well. Got a letter from my Dr saying she can no longer prescribe the pills because it did not show up in my urine test. I have taken them daily since I had them. I was on my period both times I took the test. Does anyone know if that can affect the results? I also take paxil and 3 meds for blood pressure. I know for a fact the test is wrong. I took phentermine and my UA CAME BACK CLEAN FOR METHAMPHETAMINE, but now they just did a hair sample. Will it test positive for methamphetamine? It's explainable if it does in the hair, but only if it's for amphetamine. I am in so much trouble. ## Most urine tests are not meant to pick up phentermine, especially a urine dip test like you would use at home. Also, most hair test are looking for specific chemical compounds called metabolites and if the metabolites are not there then the test will not show it in the results (negative). I'm taking phentermine and took a UA. The results showed a false positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. The person administering the tests tells me that the phentermine will explain the amphetamine but not for methamphetamine. I am prescribed lamotrigine, buspirone, lexapro, abilify, diazepam, naproxen, hydrocodone, mehylphenidate, nuvigil and sudogest. My dr did a urine test and sent it off to the lab who says it tested positive for phentermine. I took a half of a adipex yesterday and i go to a methadone clinic. I was drug tested this morning and if i come back dirty my phases that i have earned will be taken. I had a hair follicle test done for CPS. I have been taking diet pills (phentermine), but instead of 3 a day I took 7 the day of the test. Will it show up in the hair follicle that I am taking too many? Also, I had put a little cocaine on my pinky 10 days before and rubbed it on my gums. Will that show up on the hair test too?!

I think I bought these pills about 3 years ago.. Are they still good? If I took one of the pills would they show up in a DRUG TEST for work? ## For most tablets, once they are out of the original factor sealed bottle/container, and in a pharmacy bottle/package that exposes them to heat and light, the expiration is usually 1 year from the date of dispensing. I have to take random drug tests as the pilot of a river boat, and I can not take narcotics and I don't no how to find out if this is one I should not take. I am very obese and this product really help. ## Diethylpropion, or Amfepramone is not a narcotic/opiate. It is, however, a member of the Amphetamine class, so if you are tested for this, it will show up on a drug test. ## Ask your doctor for Phentermine. It will come back as a positive on a drug screen but a second confirmation test will be done which will come back negative. FMSCA has put rules in place in 2012 to safe guard against false positives.

Can phenylephrine show a false positive for phentermine? ## I just got bacl from my p.o. And I put clean urine in a nasal spray bottle because I thought it would be easy to get away with... Well I ended up failing for suboxone so I don't recommend anyone doing that. Just a warning... ## I took Sudafed PE the day before I had my monthly drug test and it didn't show up as a false positive for anything. They do say that the phenylephrine may cause a false positive for methamphetamine but it didn't on me. I asked the nurse about this when I went in and she told me if you buy the Sudafed that's behind the counter that you have to sign for that. It will show up as methamphetamine because it's what people use to make methamphetamine. Hope that helps you out.
