Why Do We Have To Suffer In Pain
100+ Topics FoundPAIN! To those legit (chronic, acute, every freaking day hr., min of ur life) pain sufferers, I'm one. Tired of being judged, esp when pain cannot be seen, i.e. migraines +12 more issues = Pain at a level of 10+. When 1 Dr. says do / 1 says dont -pain meds or anything else, I find it frustrating and humiliating. "It's in ur head, take a Tylenol!". 30 months of GI pain and no one listened. 16 months ago I was in the ER (10 more days-dead). Still dealing with pain that's worse every day. To All: u may not know or see it but there's a lot of ill people without Opioids -we don't function. Open ur freaking minds Healthcare & all other people. Last, DO NOT CONFUSE "DEPENDENT" With Addicted, (or that my brain is giving false pain signals). This is a comp...

I am truly concerned about all of the people who are chronic pain sufferers who are unable to find satisfactory treatment. Several years ago, after 20 years of taking all of the usual pain meds, I stumbled across the "Spinal Chord Stimulator" and the "Morphine Pain Pump". I have had a pain pump over a year now and it has truly changed my life. Of course, like every new pain treatment, they were only used on cancer patients, etc. But they are being used now for chronic pain sufferers who have a definable, (diagnosed by reputable Dr's) untreatable pain source. The company that manufactures these products is MEDTRONICS. I promise you I do not work for them and I am not being compensated for this. I just know what it is like to suffer debilitating pain. I also understand...
Im a 53 year old woman who was hit head on by a drunk driver many years ago. I've had physical therapy 4neck surgeries with pin and plates even went so far as having a electric stimulater put in my back. i have tried it all. I have degenerative disc disease and at this point have no life because im in constant pain. arthritis has set in. ive tried over the counter med ultram you name it. docs in my area are afraid to write pain meds like lortab because of the people who have abused these meds. now the ones off us whom truly need it are suffering. ive had it. I cannot go on like this any longer. I would rather be dead than to lay on my couch everyday and suffer. I am unable to even take a walk in the park. I cant even turn my neck. ive went to ozturk. he has gave me spinal shots whil...
I have had 4 back surgeries, 1 neck surgery, 1 rt knee surgery, and 1 rt shoulder surgery. I've been on many pain meds but now what works for me is 10/325 norco. I dont want anything stronger. I'm sure im addicted but cant function; without them i need that little relief to maintain my sanity. I have been labeled a druggie. What is really going on here when we put animals in pain to sleep and let humans suffer? Just saying. ## Who labeled you a druggie and why? What type of doctor have you been seeing? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Does anyone no of a good Dr. And pain clinic near thomasville ga. 31792 Or valdosta .ga. or Albany .ga. or Ta...
Im looking for a pain doc for my fibromyalga ## Hi Patrice, I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a number of them to see if they are accepting new patients; some aren't, but most usually are. In addition to seeing a doctor, have you tried doing any exercises to help with the pain? My dad suffers from fibromyalgia ...
Unfortunately all the Politicians talk about is the abuse of Pain drugs, they are not concerned with the folks that take and need these meds for real pain issues from real medical diagnosis. There's so many junkies out there seeking drugs to "feel good" just wanting to find a way to feel high. Well they have ruined it for all of us who truly need the meds for medical reasons, we are the forgotten. In my Ehlers Danlos Groups many Pain patients are finding it harder to find doctors who want to prescribe narcotics due to all the extra regulatory challenges. Pain Management Doctors don't hardly want to prescribe pain meds either, mainly pushing their $1500 steroid shots which are contradictive to anyone with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and those injections actually hurt a lot of ...
The doctor told me that i have shingles without examining me, then wrote prescription which included 25mg trepiline, aciclovir 400mg. i am to take 1 trepiline three times a day, 2 aciclovir five times a day. the pharmacist at the hospital told me that the trepiline will help with the pain, but when reading about trepiline, i learned that they are antidepressents. i took the medication yesterday evening and woke up with a severe headache which i never had. could the headache be as the result of trepiline?
Why do pain doctors have the right to judge you because you have pain? My goodness, it's on my MRI. What's wrong? I'm not lying about my pain. The problem with Norco is that they prescribed them to people who most certainly didn't need them, so those of us who really do need them have to suffer. These doctors need to be investigated, not me. Money and egos impaired their judgement. No more Marcus welbys that really care. Understand that innocent people are the ones who have to pay the price for these doctors' poor judgement. My advice is go under cover. You'll catch them. Especially Hillcrest pain doctors in Tulsa Oklahoma. They all go to the same country club I bet. I'm just saying somethings up. ## For me it's been tuff finding a pain doctor that always...

Filed under CefiximeWhere is a good doctor in GA that will accept out of state patients? ## Hello, Sick! How are you doing? Sorry that you're in pain and suffering. However, finding a doctor that will accept out of state patients isn't something that's likely to happen. Due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, doctors have to be even more careful about prescribing medications and most now require that their patients live within a certain radius of their office. And even if you did get a doctor to prescribe, most pharmacies won't fill it if you and your doctor aren't both located within a certain radius of their store. Do you have a doctor you can see at home? ## Where is there a good Dr.and pain clinic near thomasville ga. 31792. My Dr. I was seeing cannot prescribe ...
I'm sick and tired of suffering at work and in life. A couple months ago someone gave me a few perc 30s and I was able to do everything just about pain free. Over the counter pills don't work and I'm trying to find a dr in northeast PA to help. At one point I was prescribed 10s and I had to take a nauseating amount for relief. But the doc said for higher doses he wasent the man to see. Wtf does that mean?? If anyone know of a good dr either in northeast PA or close in jersey I would greatly appreciate it. I don't wanna mess w street dealers. ## It means that he can't prescribe stronger doses. Due to the new regulations that were put in place, if you require such medications for the long term treatment of chronic pain, you'll have to see a pain management speciali...

I am 52 I have been in sever lower back pain with pain radiating down my legs for two years now have taken over counter med and seen nurse practioners most doctors will not even seen you now days need any kind help. ice daily and chiropractor made it worst. ## I had the begginings of spinal stenosis and arthritis in the sacroiliac area. Opioids have been the least of all evils for pain relief. We have tried with various anti inflammatories. Those wreaked havoc on my kidneys. I was just informed by my PCP that this will be the last month she can help me with my monthly opioids. I am scared to death and sick at my stomach. I have suffered from depression in the past and this type of pain killer gave me a sense of normalcy. She wants to refer me to a pain clinic. I have heard and read horr...
I came across this forum and reading everyones stories it really saddens me. I too am a pain sufferer. I have had multiple failed spinal surgeries, I have herniated discs in my spine and neck, severe spinal stenosis, arthritis in my back, deg. disc disease, nerve damage that goes into my legs/feet/arms/fingers, the list goes on. I to have been on pain meds for many years. I have had to find a new doctor months ago as my old one retired. What a task that was. It was horrific. Im in Jersey and I spent days upon days calling all over NJ trying to find a doc to take over for me. Finally, my pharmacist of all people, recommended doc. I went a few months ago and because of all the stupid restricitions the DEA is putting on drs my intake amount has been cut dramatically. I went from having a f...

I've been suffering from chronic back pain for over 7 years. If it wasn't for my mother letting me live at her house i would be homeless. I'm broke. All i get is $150 dollars a month in food stamps. Cant get a job feeling like this and i need to get a job. I use to work 6 days a week 10hours a day and like to work....Anyways that's impossable in my condition...Ive been threw several physical therapy places and 3 shots in back and several kinds of pills threw pain management like meloxicam, tramadol, gabapentin, etc.etc.etc threw the CLEVELAND CLINC nothing works...the only thing that works for me is narcotic meds, methadone and also have been on suboxone..anyways all thy did is kept upping my gabapentin until I was taking 1000s of mgs a day thy where no help at all treat...
I've been on methadone now for about 5 months. It's a pretty low dose. I also unfortunately top it up with alot of codeine. I have a really great doctor and team who are doing their best to help me and I am a difficult client! Anyway, long story short, the last 6 weeks or so I am in alot of pain at night time. I mean alot. It's extreme cramping and muscle pain. It lasts into the morning and I walk badly for the first hour or so after getting up. I'm plagued with nightmares too. I think I suffer from ptsd. I thought maybe the nightmares are causing anxiety and tension leading to body cramping? Does any one here know what is wrong or am I alone ## Methadone does not cause muscle cramps. Lack of water causes muscle cramps. Increase your methadone & get off those codeine...
Hi, my dog has been suffering severely from an abscessed tooth and we found tramadol to do wonders for him.. Well he's outta them and I was wondering if I could give him oxycodone, until I can get him to see the vet? He's 8 yrs old and about 15 lbs. I'm outta work and can't afford to have him seen right now... Thank you so much.... P.S. my poor lil guy.. ## There is a great risk of your accidentally overdosing your dog by giving him too much of the Oxycodone. Ref: Opiate Overdose Information Overdose symptoms in dogs can resemble those that are experienced by humans, and may include nausea, disorientation, sedation, and trouble breathing. Have you called a vet? They may be able to provide you with advice that will help, until you can take him in. Alternatively, you may w...
Hi, I am a 41 year old male suffering from Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and a Bulging Disc in my lower back. My pain is constant with little or no relief. My pain management doctor has me on Hydromorph Contin 12mg twice a day and Percocet 5/325mg for breakthrough pain. My question is what can I ask him to prescribe me for better pain relief. My pain got so bad about a week before Christmas I resorted to using a push pin, the type for hanging posters on the wall to scratch my arm to defer my pain from my back. I called his office and talked to his nurse to tell her how bad my pain was getting. I broke down crying on the phone, my pain was a 9 out of 10 for that previous week. Usually my pain is a constant 6 out of 10. ## Have you tried something such as straight Oxyc...
