PAIN! To those legit (chronic, acute, every freaking day hr., min of ur life) pain sufferers, I'm one. Tired of being judged, esp when pain cannot be seen, i.e. migraines +12 more issues = Pain at a level of 10+. I am truly concerned about all of the people who are chronic pain sufferers who are unable to find satisfactory treatment. Several years ago, after 20 years of taking all of the usual pain meds, I stumbled across the "Spinal Chord Stimulator" and the "Morphine Pain Pump". I have had a pain pump over a year now and it has truly changed my life. Im a 53 year old woman who was hit head on by a drunk driver many years ago. I've had physical therapy 4neck surgeries with pin and plates even went so far as having a electric stimulater put in my back. i have tried it all. I have had 4 back surgeries, 1 neck surgery, 1 rt knee surgery, and 1 rt shoulder surgery. I've been on many pain meds but now what works for me is 10/325 norco. I dont want anything stronger. I'm sure im addicted but cant function; without them i need that little relief to maintain my sanity. I have been labeled a druggie. Unfortunately all the Politicians talk about is the abuse of Pain drugs, they are not concerned with the folks that take and need these meds for real pain issues from real medical diagnosis. There's so many junkies out there seeking drugs to "feel good" just wanting to find a way to feel high. Well they have ruined it for all of us who truly need the meds for medical reasons, we are the forgotten. In my Ehlers Danlos Groups many Pain patients are finding it harder to find doctors who want to prescribe narcotics due to all the extra regulatory challenges. The doctor told me that i have shingles without examining me, then wrote prescription which included 25mg trepiline, aciclovir 400mg. i am to take 1 trepiline three times a day, 2 aciclovir five times a day. the pharmacist at the hospital told me that the trepiline will help with the pain, but when reading about trepiline, i learned that they are antidepressents. i took the medication yesterday evening and woke up with a severe headache which i never had. could the headache be as the result of trepiline?

Why do pain doctors have the right to judge you because you have pain? My goodness, it's on my MRI. What's wrong? I'm not lying about my pain. The problem with Norco is that they prescribed them to people who most certainly didn't need them, so those of us who really do need them have to suffer. Due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, doctors have to be even more careful about prescribing medications and most now require that their patients live within a certain radius of their office. And even if you did get a doctor to prescribe, most pharmacies won't fill it if you and your doctor aren't both located within a certain radius of their store. I'm sick and tired of suffering at work and in life. A couple months ago someone gave me a few perc 30s and I was able to do everything just about pain free. Over the counter pills don't work and I'm trying to find a dr in northeast PA to help. At one point I was prescribed 10s and I had to take a nauseating amount for relief. But the doc said for higher doses he wasent the man to see. Wtf does that mean?? If anyone know of a good dr either in northeast PA or close in jersey I would greatly appreciate it. Suffering in chronic pain every day of my life. Dx Herniated disk in neck, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, bursitis. Received letter in mail the other day from pain dr saying he no longer will see me or give me my prescriptions and to find another dr. because I didnt want to have epidural injections so he said I wasn't following his tx regimen. I am 52 I have been in sever lower back pain with pain radiating down my legs for two years now have taken over counter med and seen nurse practioners most doctors will not even seen you now days need any kind help. ice daily and chiropractor made it worst. ## I had the begginings of spinal stenosis and arthritis in the sacroiliac area. I came across this forum and reading everyones stories it really saddens me. I too am a pain sufferer. I have had multiple failed spinal surgeries, I have herniated discs in my spine and neck, severe spinal stenosis, arthritis in my back, deg. disc disease, nerve damage that goes into my legs/feet/arms/fingers, the list goes on. I've been suffering from chronic back pain for over 7 years. If it wasn't for my mother letting me live at her house i would be homeless. I'm broke. All i get is $150 dollars a month in food stamps. Cant get a job feeling like this and i need to get a job. I've been on methadone now for about 5 months. It's a pretty low dose. I also unfortunately top it up with alot of codeine. I have a really great doctor and team who are doing their best to help me and I am a difficult client! Anyway, long story short, the last 6 weeks or so I am in alot of pain at night time. I mean alot. It's extreme cramping and muscle pain. It lasts into the morning and I walk badly for the first hour or so after getting up. I'm plagued with nightmares too. I think I suffer from ptsd. I thought maybe the nightmares are causing anxiety and tension leading to body cramping? Does any one here know what is wrong or am I alone ## Methadone does not cause muscle cramps. Hi, my dog has been suffering severely from an abscessed tooth and we found tramadol to do wonders for him.. Well he's outta them and I was wondering if I could give him oxycodone, until I can get him to see the vet? He's 8 yrs old and about 15 lbs. Hi, I am a 41 year old male suffering from Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and a Bulging Disc in my lower back. My pain is constant with little or no relief. My pain management doctor has me on Hydromorph Contin 12mg twice a day and Percocet 5/325mg for breakthrough pain. My question is what can I ask him to prescribe me for better pain relief.
