I have been on Xanax for 15yrs. New provider doesnt want to keep prescribing it, why is he telling me its going to be taken off the market so I should back down now !!! WHAT???? IS THIS TRUE? I have no complaints. I am able to calm my panic attach because of the Xanax. ???? What is your professional opinion? I have been taking suboxone for about 2 months now. I am supposed to take 12mgs a day...3 doses 4 mg a piece a lot of days i do not need the 3rd dose and take 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening. Since i stoped taking painkillers i have had bad anxiety and trouble sleeping my mind seems to wonder and dwell on things when i go to bad and have had a couple anxiety attacks at work. My doctor tried buspar for 3 weeks because he does not like to give benzos with the subs. I had no relief from the buspar so today he gave me a perscription for xanax 0.5mg as need max 2 a day. He explained the possiable interaction between them and told me as long as i take them at least a couple hours apart i ahouldnt have any problems. My doctor wants to take me off Xanax. I have taken 1mg 3 times a day for 10 years. I take it for my anixity disorder as well as a relaxant for my skeletal muscle disorder. I need to know the names of medicines that will work the same as the xanax and that my body won't go into withdrawl. I found a white long oval shaped pill, with 2 pieces on one side that say on one piece M, and on the other B4, and on the back of it, it has 3 pieces with 10 on each piece... I get anxiety a lot when I'm at home or at stores when I'm around a lot of people I get frustrated a lot too and I can't consatrate ## It is best when you see your Doctor that you don't ask for a particular color or strength. Let the provider decide what is right for you! ## @ignacio, Eddy is right. Many doctors will see it as a red flag if you go straight into asking them for something as widely abused as xanax. However I don't think it will lessen your chance of getting prescribed xanax if you just describe how your anxiety has been affecting your ability to participate in normal daily activities. its not large, round, blue. one side has a horzional line with a one above it and the other side says 274. can you please tell me what this is ? ## THIS IS NOT A GENERIC XANAX! This is actually Clonazepam, same drug class, but a different medication, this is a generic for Klonopin. This is a 1mg tablet.

Can anyone tell me if their are doctors online who will rescribe xanax? ## I am sure you could find one, if you looked hard enough, however, since Xanax contains the active ingredient Alprazolam and is a Benzodiazepine, it is a controlled substance in the U.S. and having it prescribed in such a manner would still be considered illegal. In the U.S. it requires a doctor's actual examination/office visit to have these types of substances prescribed. i was just put on this medicine. 0.5 mg 3 times a day! i was used to takin xanax aand i jsut need to know if it is stronger or lighter cause it seems real strong!! ## For anyone else looking for such information, these two Benzodiazepines actually convert on a 1:1 ratio, so they are about the same in relation to strength and potency. The pill is oval, white in color. One side is blank, the other is scored in half with what looks like an S on one side and 106 on the other. I'm thinking it's a generic Xanax. I have been prescribed Xanax 1mg for 20 years by my family physician. Out of the clear blue he is now sending me to a psychiatrist. I also suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks. I am now having attacks out of fear of seeing a new doctor who may or may not prescribe them. I know they cannot cut them out cold turkey but just afraid. I know people who are prescribed 2mg. I have been taking .5 mg xanax every night for the last 8 months to fall asleep. It actually works, but I think I'm having side effects. I used to wake up 3 times per night before Xanax, and now I sleep through the night, but I wake up exhausted and sluggish. I'm having memory problems and I don't feel alert. Am I addicted? Can you die from coming off Bendoazapines after thirty Year usage prescribed? aka Xanax or Valuim that has Bendoazapine in it. ## There are possible dangers if someone would just stop taking them abruptly and go into sudden withdrawal, there is a high risk of seizures associated with doing so and there have been cases where it has been life threatening.
