Why did my dr prescribe urbanol for me and I find I need to take 6 5mg pills to help me feel a difference.... ## Urbanol contains the active ingredient Clobazam, a Benzodiazepine derivative, which is commonly used to treat conditions such as anxiety and nervous disorders. If your doctor is aware that you suffer from anxiety or any such condition, then I can only assume that this is why your doctor prescribed it to you; but to really know for sure, you'd have to ask him why. There is also a 10mg tablet available if you feel like the 5mg isn't strong enough. You may want to consider asking your doctor about this stronger dose as well, so you don't need to take quite as many pills. These medications can affect everyone differently, where as some people get great results from ta...

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and getting panic and anxiety attacks. Is it safe to use Urbanol 10mg during my pregnancy? ## Based on my research, Urbanol (Clobazam) has been assigned to pregnancy category C by the FDA. Apparently available animal data suggests a developmental toxicity, including long-term effects on neurobehavioral and immunological function, and an increased incidence of fetal abnormalities following oral administration of Clobazam to pregnant animals at doses similar to those used clinically in humans. Although there is no controlled data in human pregnancy, the data for Clobazam does show an increased risk of adverse effects, including: Neonatal flaccidity, respiratory and feeding difficulties, hypothermia, and a host of other withdrawal symptoms that have been reported ...

I'm currently on Urbanol 10mg and Mirtazapine 30mg. I gained a lot of weight within 3 weeks. Can it be the Urbanol or the Mirtazapine or both? Plz help. ## I am also on Mirtazapine for 3 months now. It's widely known that weight gain is a side-effect of this drug as it stimulates the appetite and makes you eat more. I have also gained weight, something which is normally difficult for me. ## Giarno is correct, weight gain is a listed side effect of Mirtazapine, both with short and long-term use. Rapid weight gain, such as what you've experienced has also been a common complaint. Other side effects may include drowsiness, dry mouth, and headache. Have you continued to gain?

I was treated for Lumbago shortly before back surgery ( Fusion + Laminectromy) I also took 2x 10mg/day Urbanol in the weeks before for stress. I stopped the Urbanol on admission to hospital. I took prescribed 8 mg/day Zefo tablets for 8 days untill the day before my operation and stopped it since my children said I acted weirdly after taking them. I am 67 years old. I found that there was acute numbness in both legs 5½ weeks after the operation when I ripped off my surgical stockings. This persists up to today 14 weeks later. Neurosurgen had no comments on 6 or 12 weeks - says he is satisfied. I think possibly Urbanol withdrawal symptoms. I also took Arcoxia tablets for pain in the hipbone from about 10 days after the operation in stead of Tramacet (causing extreme constipation). An...
