I have a prescription for Cymbalta thats about 6yrs old...will the pills still work? ## At this point, you should really just properly dispose of them. Once they are removed from the original factory sealed bottle, tablets and capsules have a one year expiration date, because they are then exposed to the elements, which hastens degradation. This means that they lose effectiveness over time, thus after this many years, they are most likely worthless. Learn more Cymbalta details here. Is there anything else I can help with?

How well has cipro Hcl 500mg work for infect prostrat I am 45 ## Hi Edwahdo, Although Ciprofloxacin is not recommended as a first-line antibiotic choice, it is still highly effective in treating bacterial prostatitis; and a 10-14 day course of cipro will usually heal the infection. I've been on contrave for about 5 or 6 months. I went from 205 to 188 in first 3 months. I'm back up to 195 now. It seems the medication has lost its effectiveness. Please help. I love this medication. No side effects for me. I don't want to regain my weight. Should my doctor increase the dose. I'm taking 2 in the morning and then 2 before I go to sleep at night. So 2 about 10-12 hours apart. ## The same thing has happened to me at the exact same point in my usage. I lost about 13 pounds and now flat and feel like my eating is increased some. Four a day is the maximum. I tried to change up the times but nothing working yet. ## 4 pills a day is the maximum dosage that the FDA allows. They list the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, ner...

I have been on pristiq for 2 and a half months for severe OCD and anxiety panic attacks. Before taking it I became very depressed did not want to leave the house because I would be scared of the environment and what could be in the air and what harm it could do. I also became very moody and upset when my family did not follow what I was doing And would go and do things I deemed as unsafe. I stopped eating and lost 15 kilos over 6 months .I was to scared the food was contaminated and my hands were dirty . So I would wash my hands till they bled with small cuts all over them. The pristiq took about 3 weeks to have effect I woke up with heeps of energy and started eating well again and those environment issues were still there however I would not ponder over them for 24hours or even days I...

I suffer from gaut on my left leg near the big toe. How effective is this tablet and what are the side effects of long term use? ## Hello, Ashok! How are you? The FDA lists this medication as containing the active ingredient Diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. It is effective, but there's no way to know how well it will work for you. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Long-term use creates a risk of liver damage, liver failure and stomach ulceration. Is there anything else I can help with?

I will be giving a 45 minute presentation in a couple of days, and I am an EXTREMELY nervous public speaker. My doc gave me five 0.25 mg Xanax to use for this engagement, of course, not to take the 5 tablets in one shot ;) but first to test it out. I used two of the 0.25 pills in the last two months: one for a shorter 8 minute presentation in front of only 6 people ,where it seemed to calm my nerves. The second "test" was within a group giving a short presentation, yet here I noticed all my shortcomings coming forth: shortness of breath, voice gitters, and my body also shook. NOw,what to do about this solo 45 minute engagement I have in the next couple of days: shall I try two of the 0.25mg pills=0.5 dose? Also, I had quiet smoking for about 7 months, yet started again these las...

Hao effective % tage wise is MOVANTIK with the culprit of OIC? I have had a pain pump put in a year ago with 95% Morphine and 5% Marcaine. And oral medicines of morphine and NorcoT10-325 daily for pain breakthrough. I have had to use Milk of Magnesium for a year as well, due to OIC. It gets to be such a burden not to be able to be and feel normal again along with the weight that I need to gain in a bad way. SO BOTTOM LINE WHOM OUT THERE CAN TELL ME IF THIS STUFF WORKS? WHEN LINZESS CAME OUT I TRIED IT BUT WITH NO LUCK. DOES IT REALLY WORK? ## It works VERY well, but plan on staying home the first time you take it, because two or three times that day, you will have the largest bowel movements you could imagine, at least twice as large as the largest you have ever had before, and they wil...

my provider has started me on this medication for arthritis in my knees she says it may take up to 10 days before i feel relief has anyone found this to be true. ## I just started taking mobic and I really can tell a difference. I am 37 and just found out I have arthritis in my lower back, I toss and turn all night due to lower back pain. My doctor perscribed mobic and I sleep much better, no more pain! ## By the way, I felt the improvement the first night! ## It took about 3 or 4 days to experience some relief. I'm 35 and in excruciating pain most of the time, but this has reduced some of the paricularly mind-bending stints of pain, though not all. It has not eliminated the need to be on other pain meds, as well. I've been living with pain throughout all my body from head to to...

OK. Kind of a weird question but has anyone noticed their androgel losing effectiveness toward the end of the bottle? I know I'm not imagining things. I'll start to feel droopy and my muscles hurt. I'll mention it to my wife and the first thing she'll ask is - are you at the bottom of the bottle again - and sure enough I am. Was really hurting this week - switched to a full bottle and feel better already. Thoughts? Your experience? ## Hello, Tooslowjoe! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. Liquids, gels and ointments do tend to degrade much faster than other forms of medications, but I'm not finding any other reports of this issue. I know they usually say that shaking it or anything isn't necessary, but perhaps from now on try gently ...

I've been hearing about FDA rules or a scale of effectiveness of opiates. Does anyone have information on what this scale is and what effects this has on the customer managing their pain levels? ## @Susie, I may be wrong, but it sounds to me like you might be referring to an "equianalgesic (or opioid) chart", which you can find online with a simple google search. Basically all it is a reference that compares things like potency, efficacy, duration of effects, half-life, etc, from one opioid/opiate to another. You can view an example of a chart here: healthcare.uiowa.edu/familymedicine/fpinfo/Docs/adultopioidrefguide.htm I think the implications behind knowing how these medications compare to each other is the most helpful aspect in and of itself. This way pain patients can b...

I have filled a prescription for dextroamphetamine in October 2016. I misplaced it and now found it. Is it still good? ## Just want to know if Ian still use it the prescription date is October 2016. ## Generally, if it is in a bottle as dispensed from your pharmacy, it is good for one year from that original date. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, irritability, and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I Have a bottle of Hydroxychor 200mg tabs with an expiration date of 10/13. Are these pills still effective enough to take or do I need to get a new prescription? ## Since they do start to lose effectiveness over time, it would be best to just dispose of them and get a new prescription. You can even have your pharmacy dispose of them for you, or use the FDA disposal instructions that say you should mix them in with some undesirable substance, such as used kitty litter or coffee grounds, then place them in a sealed container in the garbage. Is there anything else I can help with?

Ampyra deos it work? ## Ampyra contains the active ingredient Dalfampridine, it used to treat MS symptoms. There is, of course, no medication that works for everyone. Do you have any other questions? ## Has anyone that used the walker/wheelchair used the drug? What were your results? ## I was working with Physical Therapy to advance from a wheelchair to a walker already and then added Ampyra to the mix. Ref: Tivdak Official Website and Tivdak Basic Information Cancer treatment medications are very potent, and unfortunately tend to cause some problematic side effects, such as eye problems, including dry eye, and blurry vision; tiredness, nausea, rash, diarrhea, and hair loss. This is the only medication that works for my allergies and when it went over the counter I was extremely disappointed as I didn’t think it worked anymore. I just discovered that it works just fine if I purchase it from Walmart. I was purchasing it from Amazon and I assume the blistering temperatures in the delivery vehicles ruined the product because it did not work at all when I bought it from Amazon. I actually thought it was fake.

I would like to know how people like it and whether they are losing weight? ## Xenical how effective it is, i need to loss weight in weeks ## You will not lose weight with any drug by itself, you also need to follow a proper diet and exercise plan. As with any medication, it is effective for some people, but there are also some it does not work for. Xenical contains the active ingredient Orlistat, it is also available over the counter under the brand name Alli. Common side effects may include: nausea, steatorrhea, flatulence and fecal incontinence. You can read more about it here: Did you have any other questions?

I WAS USING WARREN BRAND ALBUTEROL INHALERS. AND THESE WERE REPLACED WITH ASTHALIN INHALER, I AM NOT FEELING THE SAME LEVEL OF RELIEF NOW. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS. I ALSO USE ADVAIR FOR LONG TERM. I HAVE NOTICED THIS WITHIN THE THREE WEEKS OF USE. TODAY I USED ASTHALIN TWICE AND MY CHEST STILL FELT TIGHT AFTER 20 MINUTES. I CAME HOME AND DID AN ALBUTEROL NEBULIZER TREATMENT. I ALSO USED NASONEX THIS MORNING. ## Hi Joe, There is really no way a doctor can know ahead of time how any medication can affect anyone. They can only assume that the new medication they prescribed you will be effective based on medical records, current health, age, what the condition is, whether or not any other medications are being taken at the same time, etc. Any of these factors as well as others can affect...
