i'm on ocycontin 60mg 4xs daily my break through pain med is either hydrocodone 10-650 or oxycodone w acetaminophen 5-325 which is more effective for pain relief i have to chose one ## At that narcotic dosage, 10mgs of Hydrocodone, versus 5mgs of Oxycodone, they are roughly equivalent. The only way to see which one may be more effective for you is to actually try one of them and see how it works. The Hydrocodone option does have more Acetaminophen in it. so you may also want to base your decision on how concerned you are about that, since it can cause some stomach problems. They both have the same side effect profile, since they are both narcotics, and this may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and stomach irritation. What is stronger Pirk M523 or Pirk E712 ## M 532 contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone. E 712 contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. You should call your doctor and tell them that your medication is not helping the pain. I hope you get some relief soon. ## Hi Gary, Post #1 is right about there being a lot of other options for pain relief; many of which are stronger than a 5mg dose of hydrocodone + 325mg of acetaminophen. If it were me, I would talk with my doctor about upping the dose of hydrocodone to 7.5mg or 10mg, since that is considered to be the "next step up" in terms of potency. From there it seems like oxycodone, opana, dilaudid, fentanyl, extended release meds, etc, are reserved for more serious or long term cases of chronic pain management.....

Roxicodone contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and Lortab contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. My doc has been prescribing me percocet 10 mg. And now he prescribed me oxycodone 5mg. Which is stronger? If this holds true and I did the math correctly, then 7.5mg of Oxycodone would be equal to about 11.25mg of Morphine (7.5 x 1.5 =11.25); and 10mg of Oxycodone would be equal to about 15mg of Morphine (10 x 1.5 =15). The addition of Acetaminophen in Percocet would probably top the 15mg of Morphine if you were prescribed the 10/325 dosage form. I hope this makes sense!? A rose-colored oblong pill that has 7.5/3.25mg. on one side and E700 on the other side is it the same as percocet 602 ## Well the generic Percocet with the 602 marking contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone. However, the E 700 contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 7.5mgs of Oxycodone. It is sold under the name Endocet and is stronger, since it has more of the Oxycodone. Just started using hydrocodone apap tab5mg-325. This first dose I took is 2 pills at 12 noon. The bottle instructions say you can take 1 to 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. It is now 3:15 pm and it feels like the hydro pills, made by Amneal are just about finished. The pills I have been taking prior to this are oxycodone, Mallinckrodt, acetaminophen 5-325 and I take 1 pill every 6 hours. This is OXY condone, NOT HYDRO codone made by Amneal. Are they different strengths? The HYDRO seems weaker. Whats the difference between the two? And should they be interchangeable? ## It does require 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone to be equal to the 5mg Oxycodone you were taking, because the Oxycodone is stronger. Prescription Tylenol contains codeine and this does not. This contains Acetaminophen 325mgs and Oxycodone 5mgs, it is generic Percocet or Endocet. This is, however, a narcotic pain reliever, but it is much stronger than the Tylenol products.

But by comparison, Percocet is known to come in dosages containing up to 10mg of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mg of Acetaminophen. And even though some manufacturers tend to vary by strength, I would say that it all depends on what dosage of Percocet you get, since it is available in 2.5mg/325mg dosages as well.
