Regardless of why you are experiencing seizures, the same medications are used to treat and prevent them. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and weight changes. Pax is listed as having the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, ...

So for these problems I have is it safe to take the pax? And what are the side effects of these tablets? Thank you. ## Hello, Lorna! How are you? Pax 10 is listed as containing 10mgs of Diazepam, which the FDA classifies as a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. How long does it take for pax 10 mg to be metabolized? ## How do I get back to 20mg of pax 10 a day? I've been on it for 2 years and some days my anxiety is so bad I take up to 10 tablets. I take epilum 1000 mg a day. 30 mg mirtazipine a day too. All for manic deppression and anxiety and past siezures.
Hi, I picked up my prescription of Paxil 10 mg today from CVS, it’s brand name and was in a sealed bottle from manufacturer. The pills are oval, yellow one side says Paxil and the other is 10 but with a spitter line in the middle. They have always looked like this. When I look at the Paxil side of the pill and flip it up like a notepad page all my old pills would show the 10 facing up but this last bottle the 10 is upside down. Is this normal? Shouldn’t their imprint all be consistent? Pharmacist said it’s fine but I want to confirm because I am super anxious about taking them and have to take it today. I look forward to your reply, thank you! ## Your pharmacist is correct it is fine, there's nothing that says they have to all face the same direction. It really dep...

Have been on Paxil 10mg for 5yrs and new (past year) Dr told me that even though I just had bloodwork, they cannot refill until I see Dr again. I have seen this Dr 5 times in past year for other things. I have 5 doses left but Dr can't see me for almost 30 days. I know I am not supposed to stop taking Paxil suddenly. Dr says it is a controlled substance, so I looked it up and that is a flat out lie. I am on Medi-cal past year due to acworkers comp injury, but surgeries are finished and I am only on my regular thyroid, high blood pressure meds and Paxil. Can Dr lie about Paxil and withold it, for 30 days knowing that it is a drug u shouldn't abruptly stop? I am pretty miffed as I suffer depression and social anxiety ## The doctor can set his/her own policy on how often you need t...
I am already taking 10 mg buspirone 2 times per day and my doc has suggested adding 0.25 mg paxil, to further help with anxiety. Is this safe? Also, please tell me the credentials of the person responding. thanks very much. ## They both can increase your serotonin levels, which can be risky, but they can be taken together, with physician approval and regular monitoring. It's also more prone to occurring with high dosages, these are both very low. BuSpar is classified by the FDA as an anxiolytic. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Paxil is classified as an SSRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
I've been on Paxil for 1 year and am tapering off from 10 mg. I'm on week 2 and have experienced racing heart, tremors, zapping in hands, nausea. Omg! I would never recommend this drug. I'll just deal with panic attacks and my .25 Xanax. ## How much have you lowered your dose, so far? Some withdrawal effects are normal any time you lower the dosage or stop taking a medication, according to the NIH. They can occur due to stopping anything from a blood pressure medication, to a daily dose of Aspirin. Stopping your Xanax would actually be much worse, since it can be habit forming and suddenly stopping it creates the risk of seizures, as reported by the FDA. Why are you stopping the Paxil?
I have been using Pax for a few years for anxiety. A month ago I was told Pax wiil not be available in Sout Acrica untill middle 2017. The dr subscribed Urbanol 10 mg Twice a day. I only drink 10 mg at night. Been drinming it for 2 nights . How long will it take for by system to get used to the new pill to work? ## If you aren't taking the dose your doctor has instructed you to take then that is likely why your body is not getting used to it, yet, you likely aren't taking an equivalent dosage. Taking the amount your doctor has prescribed will likely help. The U.S. FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and irritability. Are you on any other medications?
So I was taking 30mg and over the past few months since June I believe I went from 30mg to 2.5mg because I didn't being tired and basicly feeling like a zombie. But now I'm at 2.5mg its like I'm taking nothing my anxiety it sky high again and my OCD is going to drive me insane. My Dr made me go from 10- 20 then 20 to 30. So can I go from 2.5 to 10mg. I think 10 would help me a lot. Then in a month I go back to 20 if 10 don't help. So is this safe.
Filed under Paxilpaxil 40, epleptin 100 mg and tydamine 25 mg for depression. Using paxil for 4 months now. The other 2 for 2 months. It looks as if it is not working properly. was better before the last 2 medicines was added. My daughter has like a social phobia. it is as if her condition is worse now. Can you suggest something else. She is 19 years old. Went to University at the beginning of 2013 but to study BSc Mathematical Science but couldn't finish because of the depression. ## My sister was on Tydamine and now suddenly it is not available anywhere in South Africa. How irresponsible the manufacturers are to do this to people. Do they not know how dangerous it is to just stop with no supply. What the hell do we do now!
Can Seroquel 50mg be taken together with pax 10 mg ## Yes, unfortunately these class of medications (anti-psychotics) do carry the side effect of weight gain. These meds actually slow down your metabolism causing weight gain. If you are using it for sleep which is what a lot of us are prescribing it for, so as to not get you hooked on sleeping pills. These meds side effect of sleepiness is why we use this even if you're not psychotic. Try breaking one in half with a knife and try using just half. Whatever you do if you are taking them every night you DO NOT stop taking this medication before speaking with your doctor first. Abrubt stopping of these meds could cause seizures and other problems you will have to be titraited from the drug if you so choose. It is a good drug for occasio...
What is this tablet prescribed for and what are the side effects? I have not started it yet and feel a little nervous. ## I have been taking Paxidep CR 25 for the last 7 years, but now I am getting side effects of this medicine. Always drowsiness and always in sleeping mood. I can't read news paper - whenever I am trying to to read within 10 second my eyes will be closed and I was in a sleeping position. ## @Vinu - Paxidep CR is prescribed for anxiety and depression, and contains the active ingredient Paroxetine. The manufacturer is Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd. [1] The American brand for this drug is Paxil. @Ajay, drowsiness is actually listed as one of the side effects of Paroxetine. I take both of these meds on a regular basis and have for over 3 years. I am moving to Pensacola Florida, I am worried about finding a Dr. Who will write these meds for me. I also take 100 mg of trazadone at bed time . It works great after about an hour and a half of being very irritable, restless and shaky. My Dr does not seem too concerned about this side effect. My question is does anyone know of a good Dr in Pensacola that would write these scripts considering my medical history. And does anyone relate to the side effects of trazadone. Thanks for any response.

Is it ok to take Gabapentin and Paxil together at night? Does anyone have experience doing so? Can it affect your sleep cycle? ## According to FDA reports, this combination is most commonly known to increase the drowsiness you experience, as well as other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, and headache. (Gabapentin NDC for more details 0093-1039, Paxil NDC for more details 16590-514.) Are they causing problems with your sleep cycle?
I take 100mgs of losartin and at night take 100mgs of Atenolol I took a double dose of losartin today, is that dangerous. I meant to take one losartin and one Paxil, which are similar shapes ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? Usually a mistake like this once isn't a big deal, but it could result in your blood pressure dropping too low, so as reported by the FDA, you may experience more nausea, dizziness, headache and drowsiness than usual. But, you should also inform your doctor, to be sure, there might be issues they are aware of that others are not.
My Paroxetine prescription looked completely different and is oval & pink instead of white & round. I reacted like I was never on Paxil. Has anyone else had a similar experience? ## I was on a 10mg Paxil tablet that was white and scored (so it could be cut in half to 5 mg). Double check to make sure the pill matches the prescription bottle description. You can also check on the internet or call your local pharmacist to be sure. ## Hello Richard, After doing some research I noticed that most of the Paroxetine medication that comes in the form of round pills often has the label "extended release" and the oval pills do not. It is possible that the pills you are accustom to taking release slower into your system than the ones you are now taking. I would need to know the mark...
