I have a light blue pill with white specks on it. It says west-ward and numbers 787. I was told it was a Fiorcet (not sure how to spell it), please identify. ## This contains Acetaminophen 325mgs, Butalbital 50mgs, and Caffeine 40mgs. It is indeed a generic for Fioricet. Mainly used to treat migraine or tension headaches. I have a 25 year history of migraines. Prescribed 1 or 2 fioricet every 4 to 6 hrs. Crazy but true, can someone she'd some light? For severe migraine relief, I need to take 2 at once. If at those times I take 1, wait 45 min for relief then take the other, it doesn't work. My experience has been that basically I have to start over, meaning that after that initial 45 min wait, I have to take 2 at one time, hitting the headache quick and hard. Also sometimes you think you will need 2 at the start and end up knowing that that was too much. So clearly, not good. My question is how can this scenario be? And why doesn't hydrocodone even with some caffeine and tylenol work for my migraines? Migraines are such a balancing act. Going to try Depakote, but keep my fioricet close by. ## ...

Hello. I had been taking fiorcet codeine ( for over a year. Recently, one of my primary care doctors told me to stop taking it because it is not meant for long-term use. Moreover, I informed him that my blood pressure readings were elevated. I stopped taking f.codeine...took my last pill on Tuesday, March 18th. I was taking 1-3 pills a day depending on my migraine/headache levels. My first day off of it (Wednesday night) was terrible...rebound headache, nausea, diarrhea and minor vomiting. The next day was about the same...last night I had a headache/migraine on left temporal/optic (with sore lower back) and still had the headache this morning. I recently started having acute allergic reactions to the generic fiorcet V 2355 round pill. I have taken this medication for years, and at first had to have the blue name brand/generic, but then found that I could take some of the white generics. Am wondering if the V 2355 inactive ingredients changed lately as I believe this is the one I had previously been taking with no reactions. I just had a prescription filled for the first time by a new pharmacy and after doing some research on the med. I discovered that what was printed on the tablet did not match the description from the internet. It is a blue round tablet with west-ward 787 written around it. Is this O.k. I was on Hydrocone for my migraine/tension headaches for 3 years my dr decided to stop prescribing pain meds to her patients. Now I'm at a loss NJ Is really cracking down. My new GP referred me to a neorologist and I was thinking about asking him about Fiorcet not Hydrocone but how do I ask without sounding like a addict? ## Hello, Lola! How are you? Fioricet contains a barbiturate, not a narcotic. It contains Butalbital, Acetaminophen and Caffeine. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and nervousness. There should be no reason to worry about sounding like an addict. Just be honest about how bad they are and don't try to demand that he prescribed something. Is there anything else I can help with?

i always use mia 110 fiorcet.i got white ones w/v 2355. do they work as good b/c i cant teake the blue. im at the point im just going to to get brand name. does anyone know aboutn this quetson v 2355 qand if it works ## The only way to see if it is going to work for you is to actually try them. Medications can affect everyone differently, so what works well for someone else may not work for you and vice-versa. They both contain the same active ingredients, so in theory they should work the same. I have been taking fiorcet for years to relieve "aura" migraine headaches. The problem I am facing is the amount of caffeine in said medication. Would Cephadyn 650/50 be s better medication to take because, from what I have read, it does not contain caffeine at all? Please help!!! ## Hello, Lisha! How are you? Yes, if the caffeine is causing you problems, it could be a better option. Cephadyn is listed by the FDA as containing just Acetaminophen and Butalbital. I have tried several drugstores for the fiorinal tablet and cannot find them. I have taken them for several years, the capsule is not effective and neither is the fiorcet. I have a white or cream colored oblong pill and it is a fairly large pill. It is scored in the middle and on the left it has 93 and on the right it has 2264. I also have a white round pill with a fancy V on one side, and 2355 on the other side. helping at all new fioricet capsules not working like old tablets I used them for fibromyalgia for years what did theydo to them?pkp ## I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer for you. They are claimed to be the same, with the same dosages of the active ingredients. However, many people have posted similar complaints. The best suggestion I can make is to contact your doctor and ask about using an alternative medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just took my first fiorcet capsule since the cange over from tablets. They only difference in it the capsule and 25 less mg's of acetimetaphen. So far it's worked fine on busting my tension headache. My suggestion is take a small amout of tylanol along with it. Hope this helps.

This was an active ingredient in Percogesic, which I found very helpful alternating with fiorcet for migraines. The formula has changed to benadryl and tylenol. If possible, I would prefer to purchase only th pheyltoxoamine with no tylenol. ## I'm sorry, but this site does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications, this is an information only website. I am also not aware of the any products on the market that only contain the Phenyltoloxamine. The ones I see listed as still being available in North America, such as Novagesic and Pain-Gesic all contain the Acetaminophen. Have you tried asking your doctor or pharmacist?
