On line I found a 5mg pill, blue, one side is 1G and the other side is 283. Is this the same pill? Back in Nov. 2015 my husband was prescribed medication for shoulder pain. I found it in medicine cabinet and wondered if I should save them for another time since we are seniors with Arthritis. Thank You for your help. ## Hello, Esther! How are you? Generally prescribed in place of Carisoprodol (AZ 266 - round white pill, 3/8 diameter) because of its lower dose and other reasons; used mainly as a muscle relaxer, pain control and tranquilizer. AZ 266 can become addictive, while Cyclobenzaprine not so much. Look up either AZ 266 or Carisoprodol or Soma. ## Is Cyclobenzaprine the "street drug" known as "benzo's"? ## That is correct, Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant, and is the active ingredient in Soma. It has been known to be abused, and to cause addiction in some people that take it. WHAT IS THE REAL NAME OF THESE TWO MEDS...I AM ON BOTH.ONE IS FLEXIRIL(CYCLOBENZAPR), WAHT IS OTHER ONE? ## Hi Figgy, They are the same! Just different manufacturers. ## Hi Figgy, Just wanted to provide you with a second opinion and some additional information on comparing the two tablets... Karen is correct. Flexeril is quite simply another brand name for Cyclobenzaprine. Much in the same way an orange is also referred to as a citrus fruit, generic medications such as Cyclobenzaprine also have other names they go by when the same drug is being manufactured by one or more companies who can't copy the same name for legal reasons and therefore have to come up with new names for marketing purposes. However, it should be noted that some manufacturers produce a generic drug as well as a ...

I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine 5mg 3 times daily as needed for discomfort and diclofenac pot. 50mg once daily. My complaint was neck and shoulder pain. I was given an xray and was told it could be degenerative joint disease. I take Valsartan/hctz half of a 25mg pill. I took all 3 the other morning and what I would describe as butterfly feeling in my chest like 40 minutes after taking it. Should I stop taking it and call my dr.? It was the 1st time I had taken all 3. ## Hello, Mick! How are you? The Diclofenac can affect your blood pressure medication, so it may not work as well for you. That may be what caused this symptom. Yes, it would be best to speak to your doctor about the issue. They may want to adjust your dosage, or prescribe another medication. As listed by the FDA, Valsarta...

I took two 750mg Methocarbomal pills and ONE 10mg Cyclobenzaprine HCl pill. I am a 180lbs female at 5'7". I'm worried that it may be too much, but the methocarbomal by itself wasn't easing my pain. Will I be okay to sleep or should I seek medical help? ## How are you doing? Are you okay? First of all, muscle relaxants are not the same as analgesics, so you can't expect them to ease your pain as an actual pain medication would. These can ease pain caused by muscle pain and spasms, but that's the most they do. You can learn more Methocarbamol details here and you can learn more Cyclobenzaprine details here. And it is never wise to double up on any medication and to add another in the same category, that's a very dangerous thing to do. These can cause depression...

Anyone know what this pill is along with some sources to back it? ## Hi Jeff, From what I could gather, this is reportedly a 100 mg Atenolol Tablet, marketed under the brand name Tenormin. However, I'm finding that sources to back this up are scarce to come by, and I'm not sure why that might be unless it's a foreign or counterfeit medication. A comment in another thread had also mentioned what the diameter/size of the pill is supposed to be: Discuss/cyclobenzaprine-191970.htm Maybe that clue can at least be verified if you have a way to measure it. I hope this helps!

Is this the generic name for Valium? Bencoprim (Ciclobenzaprina) ## small yellow pill with 121 or maybe a line, a 2, and then another line, and on the other side of the pill is an up arrow symbol(a two sided triangle with no bottom ## To the original poster, the US equivelent is Cyclobenzaprine and no, it is not a generic for Valium, this is a muscle relaxant. ## Valium is an anti anxiety / tranquilizer. It is the same as xanax and atavan. Cyclobenzeprine/flexiril is a mild muscle relaxer that is usually administered for long term relief. ## Absolutely not. Not even close. At all. And why are you asking the internet where very few people are honest and true? Advice from randos online is probably less accurate than tossing a coin into the air and calling heads or tails.

cephalon 15 mg capsule ## I can't seem to find any information on this. Was it obtained in the US or another country? Does anyone else know anything? ## Cephalon appears to be the name of the manufacturer, not the medication. They make an orange 15 mg capsule with the markings ECR 15 on them. You can view a picture here. This is Amrix 15 mg, which contains Cyclobenzaprine and is used as a muscle relaxant. You can read more about this on the page for . If this is not the capsule you have, please post back with additional details.

I've been on this drug (6 pills a day) for over 20 yrs. It works really good. Now my insurance doesn't wanna cover the cost for this. Is there another drug to replace this one? Thank you. ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Only your doctor can help you decide what's safe for you to try, but a couple other muscle relaxants are Baclofen, Carisoprodol and Cyclobenzaprine. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Has your doctor suggested any alternatives?

Cyc is 2% Cyclobenzaprine, which is another muscle relaxant. Gab stands for 10% Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant that's also used to treat certain types of nerve pain. Pen is 5% Penicillin, which is an antibiotic used to treat or prevent topical infections in such a mixture. I am not completely sure on the Bup, but it might be 5% Buprenorphine, which is a narcotic analgesic. The most common side effects are skin reddening and application site irritation. Is there ...

I have taken this pill cyclobenzaprine for back muscle spasams. it says I pill by mouth three times daily as needed. The first pill helped for about 4 hrs and I took a second pill and that lasted about 3 hrs. can I take another pill now to help me sleep ## Hello, Elaine! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. No, that would be too close together and could create the risk of an overdose. According to the FDA, a 3 times a day dosing should be approximately 8 hours apart, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. Sometimes, your doctor might designate breakfast, lunch and dinner, or morning, noon and dinner time. Have you asked your doctor for more clarification? Typical side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

We are all different and what works for one person may not work for another.
