What Does The Score Line Mean On Pills
80 Topics FoundI got a pill from a friend who said it will calm me down..she said it was valium...but it looks differant...its light yelllow and round. There is a P on top and under the score line there is a 5 ## Since this is Canadian, I can't definitively confirm it, but this pill has come up several times and several Canadians have identified it as being a generic for Valium, with the % designating it as a 5mg tablet. In case you aren't familiar with Valium, here's a link to more Valium details . It does require a prescription and can be habit forming, so it shouldn't be used, without a doctor's approval. Is there anything else I can help with?
If a pill has a line through it, does it mean that if you split it you will consume half the dose? ## That is correct. Many different companies have lines (score marks) through the center of their pills so they can be cut in half if the full dose is too strong. Some patients may have to build up a tolerance to certain medications before they can handle the full dose.
i got a big blue pill that is blank on one side and 225 on the other.is this the same as those small M30s or no? ## is this big blue pill has 255 on one side and a line on the other the same as a m30?roxicodine? ## what is this pill round blue 225 on one side blank on other is this a generic 30mg roxy ## Although it is larger in size, it is the same. When in doubt ask a pharmacist. ## I am not certain, but I think the pill being asked about might have been the one that's blue, round and has the number 224 on it, since that is the closest match listed in the prescription drug databases. There are no tablets listed that match this description with a 225 or 255 on them. And yes, it is a 30mg Oxycodone tablet, a generic for Roxicodone, which is a narcotic pain reliever. That means it ma...
peach pill has r on 1 side scored with numbers 029 on other side ## This tablet contains 0.5 Alprazolam, the active ingredient in Xanax, which is a Benzodiazepine that's used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness, and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## 0.5 xanax for anxiety, very habit forming. ## I'm not a writer and I'm going 100 miles an hour with voice recognition so please bare with me if words are run together. it is so funny I came across you. the way you are being treated is wrong. xanax is meant for a short term antidepressant to get you through. the right meds are effexor - start with 100 and 50 milligram twice a day and if that is not achieving your goal, move to 150mgs a day twice. that...
White pill, 512 on one side, single score line on reverse. ## i found this in my medicene cabinet ## To avoid confusion, I have removed the incorrect response!! This pill is NOT just Oxycodone. This is a generic for Percocet, which means it contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone. So there is a big difference between this and just taking something that only contains Oxycodone. This is a very potent narcotic pain reliever, with the Acetaminophen as a buffer that can also help with fever and inflammation. This drug is also highly addictive and should never be used without a doctor's approval and supervision. ## round white tablet with IP and 203 written underneath the IP. Otherside is just a score line
I have a round blue pill with Q on it and a split/score line. I can't find anything anywhere about what it could be. Does anyone know what it is? I've been told it's dbol? ## Same problem, isit vertex pharmasuticals ? Mine is exactly the same says 10mg tabs was also trying to figure out what it was but is meant to be DBol any luck ? ## I googled quantum labs or Lambo labs on a one of there websites I found a pic of the tablet, says it's dbol.pretty sure there legit.

I Have been asking alot of people and looking on the internet and i still cant figure out what these pills are. They are little, round, and blue. On one side their is a narcotic line and on the other side is blank. Im not sure what it is and I really need to know. ## I'm sorry, but what do you mean by 'narcotic line'? Did you mean just the score line to divide the pill? If so, that is all it is, it's an indention mark placed on tablets to make it easier to divide the dosage, if necessary and it is found on all types of pills, not just narcotics. And that said, with no markings, it is most likely not a prescription medication of any type, because in the U.S. they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. Thus, it is most likely that this is somethi...
The pills are round pale yellow color & are scored down the middle. No other markings. I know he's abused OxyContin & wonder if these are something along the lines of an OxyContin pill? ## Hello, Jilly! How are you? If there are no markings, then it isn't very likely that they are any type of prescription medication, unless he has some means to obtain them from a foreign source. Unmarked pills in the U.S. are over the counter products, because all prescription tablets are required by law to have markings to enable their identification. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize these tablets? ## How do I tell my dr. Who is an internal dr. That we have ti either increase my oxcontin... I take 80 mg. Twice daily...oxyco...
It is a small white round pill. One side blank and the other side has a line that is placed in the center not going all the way up and down it looks more like a capital I or lower case L. ## Hello, Lee! How are you? So, it only has the score mark and no other markings? If so, we can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, since they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. That means that it's most likely something that's available over the counter and that leaves it open to many different possibilities. Where was it found? Some over the counter products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## I h...
Can I take half of one as I have never taken a painkiller before....I had a tooth pulled ## Hi Jorden, I haven't found any medication by the name of "Nophen"... Did you mean to say "Norco"? Norco is available in dosages of 5/325 (hydrodocone + acetaminophen) for moderate to severe pain relief. And to answer your question. This type of pill is ok to break in half, since it's not time-released. I believe there's also a score line dividing the pill for such purposes if I'm not mistaken? Hope this helps!
I have recently acquired a load of these blue pills, they were passed on as Valium apparently coming from Thailand. They are a light/bright blue with score line on the back and 10 on the other side, break up quite easily. They do not taste anything like Valium but instead have a strange bitter taste to them. I would like to know what these could possibly be? I have done a fair bit of research but not came across anything of any relevance to what they could be. ## After having taken 3.5 of these I can certainly tell they are not Valium, they have not given me any sedation at all and no other noticeable effects but from the strong taste there must be some form of chemical in them. ## Hi I bought 30 of these from a pharmacist in Thailand. He insisted on showing my UK prescription letter. I...
Round white pill with a 3 in the middle tabloid at the top and brand at the bottom ## Hi Roya, What exactly do you mean by a "tabloid at the top and brand at the bottom"? The definition of "tabloid" refers to journalism, which makes this even more confusing... Based on your description, the only remote match I've seen is an Acetaminophen (300mg) + Codeine phosphate (30mg) tablet. It's a white round pill with a large (centered) 3 on one side and the back has a score line with "2064" on top and "V" on the bottom. The V is indicative of a product by Vintage (Qualitest) pharmaceuticals. Is that what you mean by "brand at the bottom"? Please post back if have any more details to add.
My friend takes small white tablets, the size of a valium, with a 'D' on one side and just a '5' on the other. They are lined through the middle like valium too so they can be broken in half. She said it was like porescribed amphetamines? What are these? - BTW, i am based in Australia so may look different to American pills? ## They are dexamphetamines ( not sure of correct spelling) they are pescribed for ppl with ADD or ADHD, yes they pescribed amphetamines, they have the opposite effect to speed if you genuinely have the condition, if not if works like speed. pple .can be addictive to some ## Thank you so much for that Darryl, i appreciate your response. So does that mean it will make a person tired if they take it and they have ADHD? ## From someone who has been diag...
I really need to know if I can cut in half the mallinckrodt 7.5 325 hydrocodin. I usually get the scored qualitest 7.5 325 I take one half 4 times aday, but, my pharmacist switched to the unscored tablet. ## Hi yvonne, Usually when there is a score line (divid) embedded into the tablet, it means the manufacturer purposely made it so patients could easily cut it in half. However based on my own past experience having to split a Norco tablet without a score line, I'd still feel safe cutting the pill in half AS LONG AS the drug itself is not in extended-release form; which it doesn't sound like yours is. Some patients may not agree with me on cutting it in half when there is no score line present, but I haven't heard of any good reason not to when it comes to this particular ta...
White oblong pill, roman numeral 1 with II next to it , nothing on other side. Any ideas? ## Did you ever find out what it was? ## Hi Lisa, The only remotely close match I'm finding is an oblong white 2mg Alprazolam tablet, imprinted with "|1|1|" on one side and a few score lines on the other. However, the lack of search results could potentially mean that it's manufactured in another country outside of the U.S. Do you have any idea about the origin of this pill, where it was found, or who you purchased it from? ## I have Naxproxen pills that look like that
White skinny pill a little long no writing on it. It is some type of pain pill. ## @Ally, Being that this pill has no markings, I'm wondering how you're so sure that it is a type of pain pill? In situations like this, I believe the only verifiable way to know what you have for certain, is to have its contents analyzed by a lab. However, I did have a couple questions about the pill that may help point our search efforts in a more precise direction: - You had mentioned that it was "a little long". Does this mean that it's oblong/rectangular shaped or oval? - Is the score line vertical "|" or horizontal "---"? - Where was the pill found / how was it obtained? Thanks for any additional info you can provide!
I had friends over the other night. I found a pil. Can you tell me what this pill is? ## Are there any other additional markings on it? I have been unable to find an identification for one with just those numbers, but there are some with additional numbers. Can you please double check the pill and post back? ## its a small pale green pill about 6mm or so dieamiter round with 1 of those lines used for halfing it marked on 1 side and the words sigma engraved in on other side there are no other marking (dont no if this helps) they were in a container with some other pills wich were orange clanazapams but (dont no if that means much) by the way i live in new zealand
white pill, rectangle, straight line imprint down center of one side with the number 57 on one side of the line and 71 on the other side of line, the other side of pill has a M with a box around it imprinted ## The strange imprint line is meant to be a score line to make it easier to break or cut the tablet in case you need to divide the dose. This is Methadone 10mgs, a generic for Dolophine.
Can u tell me what it is? It is green and 15 has an R on it and the other side has the number 40 ## Hi Johnny, Any chance you may have meant "P" instead of "R"? Based on the your description, the closest match I'm finding is a round light green pill imprinted with "P" over "40" separated by a horizontal score line in the middle. This particular pill is identified as Propranolol hydrochloride 40 mg; which is used to treat high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, heart disease, pheochromocytoma, and anxiety. Manufacturer: Heritage Pharmaceuticals, Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 23155-0112 You can learn more about this drug on the page for Propranolol Details By the way, I also noticed that you mentioned the number "15" in your description, y...
