What is val syrup I have medication for my dog this is tramadol/Val syrup. I do know what tramadol is but do not know what Val syrup is or what it contains ## Hello, Beck! How are you and your pup? From what I've found, it is a B vitamin complex that is combined with the pain medication, because they support nerve health and function. The side effects in a dog, are similar to those that the FDA lists for humans and may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So is val syrup used by humans? Or is it purely for veterinary use? ## It is used in veterinary medicine; it’s the carrier aka the liquid used to mix with medication to make a liquid medication.

Does val torb syrup make a dog rest better? And does it have side effects? ## Torb/VAL syrup is the opioid Torbutrol (butorphanol) dissolved in V.A.L. syrup. It's usually prescribed to treat mild pain. The V.A.L. syrup is also said to contain B-vitamins, but I've heard that it is mostly added to hide Torbutrol's bitter flavor. As far as side effects go, central nervous system effects (such as sedation, confusion, and dizziness) are considerations with butorphanol. Nausea and vomiting are common. Less common are the gastrointestinal effects of other opioids (mostly constipation). If your dog has been resting a lot more than usual, it's likely due to the sedative effects of the medication. It can often make the animal extremely drowsy so be careful with its use. If need be...

I have taken a SGPT test. Which shows a value of 70 that is to much higher then general range of 0-40.The person in lab suggested that i should use livogen syrup... Found it on Fort Dodge/Wyeth webside. It is Torbutrol, for dogs for coughing. ## exactly what is torbutral is it a cough suppressant for dogs ??
