I can not find this exact pill anywhere. Does anybody know exactly what it is? It has 44 148 on one side and 500 on the opposite side and is a white round pill. I've been using Zydrus brand for years at bedtime 1 pill. CVS gave me Teva, as per pharmacist this is only brand they carry bc of volume pricing. No more special orders, as corporate will not allow it. My other drugs i.e. alprazolam same story. Has anyone used Teva that has switched from other brands? CVS is no longer customer friendly!!!! I called the pharmacy that I always order from and they they told me they had no recalls on these 500 mg Metformion tabs by TEVA and there was nothing they could do. ## Joyce,i cant believe if the vitamins smelled bad,the pharmacist wouldnt refund your money back to u. ## Metformin is not a vitamin, it is an oral antidiabetic medication. Actually, it is completely normal for this medication to have a very bad odor. Many companies just manage to keep you from smelling it by putting a coating on the tablets, so the smell never reaches your nostrils.
