Tab Switch Plus
12 Topics FoundI just got switched from 5mg percocet to 15mg Morphine sa tabs. I weigh about 140lbs, and i'm 5'9'' i suffer from 2 failed surgeries and have a pending fusion, and I ust wanna know if its safe for some one my size to go to such a high dose? ## How many tablets of th 5 mg were you taking and the same with the morphine, how many tablets a day are you taking with those? ## It really doesn't have to do with your size, but rather your tolerance. The Oxycodone in Percocet is 1 and a half times stronger than Morphine, so your doctor would have to calculate the dosage of the Morphine that is equivalent to the Oxycodone dosage you were taking, plus probably adding some more, if it wasn't handling your pain. So, an equivalent dosage of Morphine would be 7.5mgs, then it loo...
on taking rabonik plus ,if i experience loose motions should i discontinue the medicine and take rabonik dsr? ## What has your doctor advised? Rabonik DSR contains Rabeprazole and Domperidone, while the Rabonik Plus still contains the Rabeprazole, though I haven't been able to find anything listing what else it contains. However, you really do need to consult your doctor, because it is going to depend on what's causing the diarrhea. If it is the Rabeprazole itself, then switching to another medication that still contains it is probably not going to help. ## i am sufring from stomak disorder .for this problem iwas prescribed RABONIK PLUS tablets for 14 days. I was alright when when I was taking this medicine.Once the tablets were stoped the problem started. Kindly advice ## Rabon...
I have been on kadian for 2 yrs now. 150mg twice a day, plus percocet10/325 for breakthrough. works pretty well. Now I have to switch to morphine sulfate er TABLETS. I will be taking 160 mgs twice per day. Have not taken yet so I don't know if they will work as good as the kadian. What I was also wondering if the morphine sulfate er CAPSULES work better than the morphine sulfate er TABLETS. anyone try both to see if there was any difference thank you ## What you're switching to is just a generic for Kadian, it still contains a time released formulation of Morphine. As to which one works better, when I was taking it, I never noticed a different between the tablets or the capsules, but what is true for me may not be true for you. You really need to try it for yourself and see what...
I was on Ceftin 500mg twice per day but developed dizziness as well as tummy aches. So I was switched to this Amok/k clav . Dr suspected I had pneumonia as well as laryngitis due to an allergic reaction of some air freshener. What are common side effects!? ## Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: - diarrhea - upset stomach - vomiting - mild skin rash Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: - severe skin rash - itching - hives - difficulty breathing or swallowing - wheezing - vaginal itching and discharge - yellowing of the skin or eyes Source: Medline Plus ## I have a bottle right here that I just got filled. It is a generic f...
My Pharmacy switched my prescription from the green pills that are Oval shape to these pink pills that are round and are not as effective with the control of my high blood pressure. What am I taking because it is not Losartan as before. ## This tablet is listed by the U.S. FDA as containing 25mgs of Losartan, however, there can be some slight differences in generic medications. They do allow them to differ in the amount of the active ingredient by as much as plus or minus 20%, they consider this an acceptable therapeutic window and, for most people, it doesn't make a difference. However, if you are sensitive to medications, then any fluctuation could cause a problem. Have you tried asking the pharmacy if they can order the other one in for you? Or perhaps speaking to your doctor abo...
I am now taking GLIZID 80 mg two tabs twice a day and Glycoment 850mg one tab twice a day plus Acarbose 50 mg twice a day. Now doctor advises me to take Glycomet 1gm in place of Glycomet 850gm . I find that Gycomet 1mg is in the XR form. How much metformin does Glycomet 1gm contain? What is the benefit of switching over to Gycomet 1gm (Extended Release)? Would it help more than Metformin 850gm (Regular)? Moreover, no metformin tablet 1gm without being in SR/XR form is vailable in the market. Kindly advise ## Is there any difference between glycomet 1gm and glycomet Sr 1gm. Doctor has prescribed me glycomet Sr 1gm but it is not available in the market. Only glycomet 1gm is available. Can I take glycomet 1gm instead of glycomet 1gm Sr? ## The XR/SR designation means that it is time releas...
Has anyone had the Sublocade injection? I'm seriously thinking about switching from the films to the monthly injection. ## I haven't tried it, but do think it would be interesting to read how the shot compares to the films or sublingual tablets with regards to efficacy, bioavailability, duration of effects and so forth. According to the manufacturer, "In a 24-week clinical study, people who received Sublocade plus counseling were more likely to have weeks without opioid use compared with people who received a placebo shot (an inj. with no medication) plus counseling." Source: sublocade.com Also, there are some people who take Subutex (buprenorphine) for pain management instead of opioid cravings even though it's not specifically indicated for such use. I'd like t...
so far ny wife is prescribed : TG TOR 20 mg 1 tab/day Deplatt 20 mg 1 tab/day Coversyl Plus 1 tab/day Depin Retard 20 mg 1 tab/day she had a partial block in left Carotid vain. but yesterday, we received: LOPRIN 75 mg for Depin Retard and ZOSTA 10 mg for TG TOR. are they ok? ## Loprin is a low dose aspirin to slow clotting of the blood ## Yes, that is odd. Depin Retard contains the active ingredient Nifedipine, which is an anti-anginal medication and the Lopin is, as Donna said, Aspirin, used as a blood thinner. They are not interchangeable. The TG TOR contains Atorvastatin and the Zosta contains Simvastatin, they are in the same class of medications and are used to lower cholesterol, so switching from one to the other here isn't really a problem. Who made the switch? Was it ordered...
Got severe stomach pain and constipation after my pharmacy switched to Aurobindo generic. Went back to the light yellow oblong tablet (mfr. unknown) and feel much better. Does anyone know what fillers Aurobindo uses? ## Hello, Richard! How are you? Those can be side effects of this medication, so it could be that the one from Aurobindo was slightly stronger than the others that you are used to, there is an allowable difference under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. Generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%, so it may not be related to the fillers, since generics don't have to measure against each other. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, ...

My husband had a heart attack. Pharmapress was 1 of the tablets they gave him. He stopped using it because his bp drops so low to 92/73 that he almost faints. The doctor told him to take half or a quarter, but the result stayed the same. The BP is far below 120/80. ## Is he on any other medications? That can be a side effect of this medication, according to the NIH, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. Has he informed his doctor that problem continued? He may need to switch to a different medication. I had one that caused me similar problems. ## May I use Pharmapress 10mg instead of Prexum Plus 5mg for a few days? Kindly advise.
white oval with mb3 & 555 on it ## I like xanbar better than xanax because of I don't feel extremely tired and moody at the end of the day. Should I tell the doctor that i want to switch and will he be willing to do this for me? ## The only difference between what you are considering Xanax and Xanbars is the dosage. The medication is the same. The rectangular bar is simply a higher dosage than the individual tablet. ## In some cases the dosage may even be the same, the bars are just made so they can easily be cut in half for someone who has trouble swallowing pills or needs to take a lower dosage. The difference you are experiencing may be caused by switching from one brand to another, generics are allowed to differ from the name brands by as much as plus or minus 20% of the act...
