My mother is a COPD patient for many years. She is under treatment for many years too. She is 84+. At present she has swelling on both her feet which is also painful. I took her to her Nephrologist who saw all her reports and said that all her reports are good and there is nothing wrong with her kidneys. Since her lungs are bad it is putting pressure on her heart which is also not functioning very well, hence d water retention n swelling. I have been taken 9 potassium tablets a day to for approx 6 years. Potassium level has been good. Will there be any side effects if I cut back to one a day, after one office visit and blood test? I have been taking Lisinopril 20 mg from manufacturer Lupin for years. My most recent renewal was the same color and Lupin on one side and 20 on other but the pill is half the size of the one I have been getting. Still says Lupin but I am concerned.
