Subs 2 Years
100+ Topics FoundLast night I was taken to the ER, for an intestinal blockage, this morning they gave me Morphine for the pain... but I am out of ER now and tomorrow I want go back onto the Subs. Will I go into precip w/d's or should I wait longer? ## Hi Joshua, Sorry to hear about your current situation. Hopefully you're still getting some relief from the Morphine they gave you. Regarding your wanting to go back on Subs, a lot of patients on here say it's usually best to wait until withdrawals have started in order for Suboxone to be fully effective. So in my opinion it may be better to wait a little longer first. But I also think you should probably discuss this with your doctor as soon as you're able to, just to be on the safe side. I hope this helps!
I've been on lunesta for 10 years straight. I have to take at least half of a 3 mg pill every night or no sleep. If there are any side effects, I am not aware of them. Anyone else been on the pill that long? ## Hello, Mark! How are you? I am glad this medication is working so well for you, without causing side effects. Some of its typical ones, according to the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, next day hangover-like effects, and funny taste in mouth. Can anyone that's been on it long term chime in with their experiences? ## Yes, please do. Any feedback is welcome. ## Mark, Hi, I can speak to more than a handful of clients currently being treated at our facility that developed a tolerance to this benzo like substance which lunesta is categorized as. Although not a tra...
Is there a cheaper substitute for this? I am a dialysis patient and have some peripheral neuropathy. I have been taking this vitamin for years but it is too expensive for me. ## Metanx is a nutritional supplement that contains B vitamins, specifically, 2.8mgs of B9, 25mgs of B6 and 2mgs of B12, in specific forms. Thus, you'd need something that contains them in the same amounts. Have you tried talking to your doctor or pharmacist to see if there are any alternatives available? There is no generic, that I know of, but there are other products that contain these same nutrients. ## Hi, I work with Metanx. Maybe I can help? There is no generic for Metanx. Metanx has a unique formulation of the active forms of folate (l-methylfolate), B6 (Pyridoxal 5' phosphate) and B12 (Methylcobala...
How long does it take to get off subsys, I have been on this for over 15 years for chronic nerve damage. What are the withdrawals and what other pain relief is instead of this. ## Hello, Jean! How are you? The FDA lists Subsys as containing Fentanyl, which is the most potent opiate available, thus after that long of a time period, you'll need to do a very slow taper. Your doctor should be able to help you set up a proper tapering schedule. However, since there is nothing else close to it available, I am not sure what else you may be able to use for pain relief. What dosage of it have you been on? The possible withdrawals may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, diarrhea, depression and rebound pain.
I've been on done for 2 years . Weaned down from 95mg to 45mg. Due to hurricane Matthew and having to evacuate I took my last dose on Saturday . It's Tuesday , can I take Suboxene ## Hello, Sabrina! How are you? You have to be in full withdrawal, before you can take Suboxone, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have had a number of orthopedic surgeries over the years and I am a recovery opiate addict. I had a doctor prescribe me suboxone for pain. Seemed to work well but it has become increasingly expensive and I feel like I need to come off of it. I have been on it for over 2 years. I have been tapering the dose over a few months and then stopped. I still have had major withdrawl symtoms and it has become very frustrating. I feel like I'm back where I was when I was coming off opiates. Does anyone know how long it could possibly take to accomplish this. I blame some of this on the doctor because all he cared about was the consultation fee. I don't think he cared if I ever came off! Need some guidance. ## i was on subs for 5 yrs. i also have chronic ack pain among other things due to...
Bausch health, as the sole supplier of this 80 year old insomnia CURE, (and 2 year testament of my success 1st hand with 200mgs a night) and the legions of agonizing deaths of terminal ill patients that have chosen physician assisted suicide have now have been suffering AGONIZING end of life treatments in the wake of this shortage. I was taking suboxone for the past 3-4 years after being addicted to lortabs for nearly 7 years. I was only taking on average 2 1/2 - 3 a day, some days up to 8 some days down to 1 depending on the supply in town. It was hell waking up everyday having to take pills to be normal. I discovered suboxone from a friend and got really sick taking my first one (it was only a 1/3 of one). I discovered that if I cut it into strips of about 1/8" long that was plenty enough to function. One sub would last about a week. I was way cheaper to buy this than Iortabs and I functioned 10x better. I recently decided I would taper down even less and attempt to quit all together. I'm on day 4 with no subs and have excruciating pains in my legs and diarrhea. My friend has given me ultram to halfway h...
I have been on Cymbalta for three years at a dosage of 60 mg taken once a day in the morning. For the last two weeks I have had frequent panic attacks and feel Cymbalta is losing its effectiveness. I am wondering if upping the dose might be necessary or spreading out the dosage throughout the day would work better. Or maybe, is there a newer medication out that other Cymbalta users have tried that is more effective.

I am a father of two young children. I am the sole provider for our family. My wife is a stay at home mom. For the past ten years I have been on oxycodone 30mg due to back surgery. When I switched to another pain management they cut my prescription down and also issued me methadone 10 mg. I lost my doctor recently. I have had to do what is necessary to keep my job or my family would be in real trouble. As we all know the withdrawals are horrible. I have been taking subs and benzos for the past month now. I am down to a quarter a day of the sub. I take 2mg of xanax a day. I really want to stop this vicious cycle of pills. I am really depressed, irritable and impatient. My brain feels like it has been damaged by taking all this medication. I find myself sometimes not being able to spit ou...

My Dad is taking Tramadol in place of Darvocet. He took Darvocet for 20 years no side effects, now he is taking Tramadol and is good for pain but his blood pressure is going high and he has arrythmia and terrible depression. Are any of the meds with same formula as Drixoral available anywhere? (Desihist SA, Dexaphen SA, Dexophed, Disobrom, Disophrol, Dixaphedrine, Drexophed SR, Drixomed, Drixoral, Duomine) Is the effect of Brompheniramine Maleate the same as Dexbrompheniramine Maleate? If so perhaps, Lodrane D-24 will work. Has anyone tried it yet? I'm fighting nausea, popping ears & wheezing while waiting for my pharmacy to get some. I'm so relieved to find I am not alone in only finding relief with Drixoral. Over the years, especially recently, I have tried others, but none do the job. Anyone having success with a substitute? ## I have not found a subsitute for Drixoral that works either. I was glad to know that I too was not the only person suffering from allergies that only Drixoral seemed t...
I have had a total body itch for about 3 years. Hydroxyzine was prescribed but hasn't done much good. What can I take instead? ## Hello, Arvil! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having. You may be able to raise the dosage to see if it helps, if your doctor approves. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. But what type of doctor are you consulting? If you've not seen a dermatologist, that would be the best thing to do in order to get to the root of the problem. Are you on any other medications? Have you tried changing the soaps you use? There are many possible causes, so you need to look at everything to determine what might be causing the issue.
