I'm currently taking 500mg hydrocodone/apap every six hours for pain plus 250mg divalproex sodium twice daily. Is it alright to also take 10mg compazine for nausea or are there any side effects I should be aware of? ## What has your doctor advised? Generally, it is listed that the Compazine should be avoided with both of the other two medications. When combined with the Divalproex, it increases the risk of depression of the central nervous system.
