1 REPLY Filed under XanaxLooking to find out what a long/ oval white tabley is with a weird E type symbol and 28 and nothing on the other side. it is not scored. ## I'm sorry, but I can't find any listings for this in our U.S. prescription drug resources. Where was it found? Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## I think that is Disulfiram (generic of Antabuse) 250 mg, manufactured and/or distributed by Rising and/or Sigma Pharmaceuticals. The weird E thingy is uppercase Greek letter sigma. In some reference sites it's indexed as "Logo 28" quoting from a product info sheet found on dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=46495 "HOW SUPPLIED: Disulfiram Tablets, USP: 250 mg - White, capsule shaped tablets debossed "Σ 28" on one side and plain on the other side. 3 REPLIES Filed under DisulfiramHi I’m trying to find out what pill this is that I found in an old pill bottle. It’s a white, oval shaped pill marked P 25 (has a slight line carved between the P and the 25). I’ve tried tied searching it multiple times and can’t seem to get a name for it. I’ve had multiple surgeries over the past few years and usually keep all my medications together, but the odd time I’ll throw some in a single pill bottle when I leave on holidays. Does anyone know what this could be? Once I’m aware, I can then either dispose of it properly if it’s not needed. Thanks

Apotex Canada lists this tablet as containing 25mgs of Metoprolol, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?
1 REPLY Filed under MetoprololI found this pill in my living room. It has 255 printed on the right side, and what looks like an upside down 1 on the left side. The back is black. It looks just like Butalb (MIA 106), which I take for headaches, but the imprint is totally different. Any ideas? Thanks. ## Hi Juno, Carvedilol 6.25mg made by Solco Healthcare is the closest match I've seen here. This particular tablet is white and oval shaped with the number 255 on one side and blank on the back. For verification, it carries a National Drug Code of 43547-255-10. I wish I could be of more help, but as a last resort it may be best to take this tablet into your local pharmacy and/or have its contents analyzed by a lab. I do find it strange that specific details relating to your pill description are no where to be found. ...

2 REPLIES Filed under AlprazolamThis pill was in my bottle of metformin from the pharmacists.i only noticed because it was just a bit smaller than the metformin. What is it? ## I actually came across a half white and half pink oblong shaped pill imprinted "E648" that is identified as Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25 mg. You didn't mention pink being part of the color, but it's the only match that comes up under that description. Manufacturer: Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 00185-0648 I'd probably suggest taking it over to your local pharmacy to have them check it out if this doesn't sound like it fits the bill. Does anyone else recognize this tablet without the pink color?
1 REPLY Filed under MetforminWhite oval pill with E and then 281, it's supposed to be Metoprolol but they are smaller than the other ones I had before. ## The size of a tablet is only dependent on what filler/inactive ingredients the manufacturer has decided to us in the production formula, and the medication dosage, so pill sizes can differ from one manufacturer to another. The tablet with the E 281 marking was manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, and they listed it as containing 25mgs of Metoprolol, which is commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. NDC: 00185-0281 This tablet has been discontinued. Ref: Medline Plus Metoprolol The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination.

1 REPLY Filed under AlprazolamI have a small oval white pill with a z on one side and a 2 on the other side, and can't identify this prescription. ## Hi Karen, Based on the description provided, I've identified your white oval pill with "Z" on one side and "2" on the other, to be Losartan potassium (25 mg); which is used to help treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions. 2 REPLIES Filed under LosartanFound two white oval pills that have GG 236 on one side and a divider on the other side . ## Hi Andrea, Is there any chance that you may have meant to say "GG 256" as opposed to "GG 236". Reason I'm asking is that I found a pill that fits your description exactly, other than the fact that there is a 5 instead of a 3. This pill is identified as Alprazolam 0.25 mg; which is primarily used to treat moderate to severe anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety disorder) and panic attacks, and is used as an adjunctive treatment for anxiety associated with moderate depression.
