(4) Does Silodal also effects in reducing the size of enlarged prostat (BPH)? ## Ina e got prostatate problem it’s enlarged & is 32.2 mg Tle urologist doctor has prescribed silodal - D 4 and taken it for 15 days but no relief in urine speed. Can I take it for much longer period and it does have any side effect.

I am 69 years old. suffering from enlarged prostate.I was prescribed silodal4 and dutagen 5, six months back, things have imroved,but I feel pain in my stomch on pressing and density of stool has changed.Last ultrasound showed improvement in prostat size .please advise shall i stop taking silodal and conti. with dutsgen5 only

I am 67 yrs of age and diabetic. My HbA1c is 7.0. For impaired urin flow I was advised silodal 8mg for 2 months, 1 tab at night after dinner. My PSA 3 months before starting silodal was 3.8 and 4.6 after stopping silodal. I was operated 12 yrs back for enlarged prostate. Recent USG shows prostate size to be normal. Dos silodal 8mg elevates PSA level? Should I be worried about prostate cancer?

I am 87 years old . Have ben on Urimax 0.4mj for nealy a decade. Recent ultrasound showed retension of urine is nearly 50%.So I am advised to stop Urimax and take Silodal 8mg once every night 10 P.M.. Why should Silodalbe preferable to Urimax.? I am having a prostate problem as well as an ED problem. I'm taking silodal 8 d. for my prostate.. but don't know what to do for the ED problem? ## Decrease of libido is a known side effect of medicinal treatment of prostate. Please check with your doctor if surgical treatment of prostate may be a better option if you want a healthy libido.

I am told that by taking silodal d 8mg, a person's libido will be completely affected. After stopping it, can the libido be revived again? If yes, how long it will take for such revival? ## Hello, Prakash! How are you? Lower libido is listed as a possible side effect, but I'm not reading anything that says it goes away entirely, however, there's no way to be sure how any given medication will affect any given person that takes it. Other side effects, as listed by the U.S. FDA include hair loss, nausea and stuffy nose. And yes, such side effects should go away within a few weeks of stopping it.
