My mother is 72 years of age and has been taking Repace 50mg in the morning and one at night for the past 10 years... Is it ok....like as far as side effects are concerned?..... Can she safely stop taking her nightly dose? ## She should take the medication as prescribed by her doctor. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. If she is taking it for high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition, those conditions can be far more dangerous, if left uncontrolled, than the risk of taking the medications. Is she on any other medications?

I have been detected hypertensive seven years ago. Initially I took telmakind and later repace h 50 Mg with Amlokind. But after two three years when i went to see a Doc, he did ECG and suggested that I should continue to take Repace H and Ecospirin AV. I have been taking it since. And remarkably both keep my bp exactly at 120-25/80-85. But I want to know if I can continue like this. I havent experienced any side effects. So should i continue the same medicines or go for change

I have been advised by Dr. to use Prolomet XL25 due to hypertension. Coincidentally from the time of usage of the same, I have developed gas problem in body. Can prolemet xl-25 cause such gastic probelm alone or in combination with other medicines? ## Prolomet XL contains a time released formulation of Metoprolol.
