Side Effects Of Ambien Generic

As of Dec 2010, both Ambien & Ambien CR 6.25 mg are available in USA as generic. For some reason the FDA didn't approve the 12.5 mg CR version. The pharmacy I use in India won't sell any versions of any hypnotic. They must be afraid people will abuse them. ## Well, even in the U.S. there are concerns about abuse and addiction, so it is only approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia and is usually only prescribed to be taken, as needed, for 4 to 6 weeks, at most. It has also been known to cause some problematic side effects, such as: hallucinations, memory loss, sleep eating and impairment of judgment. Learn more: Are there any questions or comments?

Zolpidem 10 mg what color is the pill green MZ 2 ## Hello, Alexis! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals, they list it as being purple and containing 10mgs of Zolpidem, so yes, it's a generic for Ambien. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations and sleep actions. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How do you find a pharmacy that still carries Zolpidem from Mylan? My pharmacy switched to Teva and now the pill doesn't work for me. Walmart, walgreens, CVS are all from Teva. ## You could try Jewel Osco but if all the big drugstores have switched, I'd say you're SOOL. Mine are Teva, work fine for me. My pharmacy gives me a different generic ambien almost every month. Can I ask for non-generic since I am paying without insurance? All of them work slightly different. Some hardly work at all. ## Hello, Jerry! How are you? Yes, you can do that. You can also ask your doctor to write the prescription as 'brand medically necessary' or whatever the equivalent is in your state. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, funny taste in mouth, sleep actions, hallucinations and next day hangover-like effects. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I wouldn't mind a generic ambein if i knew one that worked consistently. I read different opinions on all the generics. So would name brand be inconsistent also? I can n...

I've had insomnia for 13 years. Very sleep depraved and extreme fatigue/depression. I sometimes take 5mg of generic ambien BUT I experience HORRID NIGHTMARES! Very realistic and life threatening situations of myself and/or one of my pets! It is a terrible feeling but I do get 6+hours of sleep. Wish there was something without the side effect of nightmares (always occurring in the early morning hours). ## Hello, Cameo! How are you? What else have you tried for your insomnia? After having similar problems with most such medications, including daytime hangover like effects, I actually finally found a solution by taking Benadryl with a Tylenol tablet at night, though there are generic/store brands available, plus combination products that contain both. You'd need to get your doctor...

I've been taking ambien generics; the white and the peach oval. They have no effects on me. Until about two months ago cvs was carrying Teva MZ2. It was the only one that worked for me like a charm. My doctor gave ambien c.r they don't work at all the Teva purple one southeast the ambien c.r..I asked why cvs stopped carrying those they said it s the pharmaceutical stop sending to cvs. I was frustrated because I'm tired of changing medicine. I'm like here we go back to the medication that doesn't work for me and it's ripping the health insurance off. I wish they would survey which ambien works for each individual who takes them and why. They arent working for them? And my doctor writes the name brand ambein cvs never carries it ever. I have no side effect with the...

Is Ambien CR (for long term usage) the same as the generic Ambien for short term use? What is the difference, what's in it? I take the teva 74 but have been on it for some years. I tried the CR at one point but I felt was a lesser dosage and it did not work for me at all. ## Hello, Allie! How are you? I'll be happy to clear this up for you. They both contain the same active ingredient, Zolpidem, but in the CR, it is time released, so it is supposed to help someone fall asleep and stay asleep. The possible side effects, as listed by the FDA, are the same, as well and may include nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, memory loss and anxiety. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been using Ambien for the past 10 years....I'm a shift worker and since age 40 my regular s...

Ambien is not a Benzo, it's a Barbiturate I believe ## To clear this up for everyone that might need to, the FDA actually classifies Ambien/Zolpidem as a sedative/hypnotic. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hallucinations, sleep actions and next day hangover-like effects. Are there any questions or comments? ## Zolpidem is not a benzo, but just as addictive. I was on it for years and cant remember much of that time as it causes the most horrible amnesia. I beg people now to never start using it, EVER. ## it is not a benzo nor it is a barbiturate. the generic is called zolpidam. ## Ambien is not a benzo however if used recreationally not speaking from personal experience but if use for that purpose it's been reported that it does have some b...

I was given HYDROCODONE-APAP 7.5-500 tabs today.I've read they are used for sleep, however I don't feel that effect. I usually take Ambien or Seraquil for sleep. OK to combine?? ## Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen (APAP) is a narcotic pain medication, generic for Vicodin. They are not generally used for sleep, however, one of the side effects can be drowsiness. This pill is different from the one I was taking at 1st and it definitely doesn't work like the other pill which leads me to believe it's more of a placebo than the actual medicine.
